  1. Hmmm...you guys need more people and I actually have a Saturday all to myself! I'll sign up and will be seeing y'all at 9:45. I can offer up Argent Ember (lvl 50 Fire/Emp controller) or the Crazy Old Cat Lady (lvl 50 Claws/SR scrapper), whatever the team needs.

BTW, I don't think Peep doesn't have any high-level characters on Justice, so I'm guessing that she probably will not be able to do this particular TF due to the min level. So if we go with this TF, we're very likely still short.

P.S. I have to admit that even though I've been with this game for nearly 2 1/2 years, I've actually never set foot in the Shard. So I'm going to need a lot of handholding during this TF.

P.P.S. Scrap that part about Peep, I just looked at our SG roster and totally forgot that BumbleBetty dinged 50 awhile back. My bad. So she'll likely be joining us with teh scrappery goodness.

Brilliant idea Scimi! Perhaps a Justice M&G for Scimi's visit on...saaaaay...Saturday, July 11th?

'Es cool, too itchy in here anyway!

    Justice Wiki?

The one that I was referring to was specifically just for Justice. I think they ran into issues 'cause many Justicites don't rollplay and as such, we just didn't have nearly the amount of material to work with.
  5. Manoa

    Justice Wiki?

Someone made the attempt a couple years ago, but I don't recall it getting very far...
  6. *points to the "No Girlz" sign on the Justice Boy's Treehouse*

And you're going to get all huffy that the girls are getting together to have a little fun?
  7. I may just be able to make that!

*makes a note to tell Peep about this*

Maybe we can do a meet and greet at Murder Burger in Davis one of these weekend?

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's kinda funny...TA, Sassy and I were contemplating doing a MB run really soon (there was some talk about maybe even this weekend, but nothing set in stone yet).

    [/ QUOTE ]

Just let me know which weekend. I can also bring Chewie. Maybe Red Gren will come this time if he is not sick...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yay Chewie!!

    And DD & RG too...
  9. Drat, the one night our D&D group moves our game to Friday night...
  10. Mod08...I have to admit that I had a mild panic seeing your name as the most recent post this thread. Then I saw that there was no thread lock and the panic subsided.

Thanks for the warm thoughts (dangit, I'm getting all teary eyed again, thanks Mod08!). Know that if there's ever a Justice gathering in Davis (whether its Murder Burger, Burgers and Brews or whatevah), know that you and any other rednames that can make the journey are always more than welcome to join us.

Should I end up having to leave, I fully expect you, Niv and Avatea to prevent things from getting too flamey hot here on the forums so it's nice and toasty when I return!

I think ill hop on the facebook/CoH train. We have a group yet?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Several, actually. There's "City of Heroes -Justice" as well as "Justice For All." Lots of other COH related groups too, but those are the two that I joined.

As you said, too many heartbreaking choices are going on right now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We've been chatting about this for a couple days and yeah, I really do feel heartbroken over having to cut out the things I love, even if it's temporary. Most people don't know this yet except for a very small handful of people, but just to put things into perspective on how scared I am for the future...I have also taken a break from hula until the economy improves and things get better at work. As difficult as it was to cancel my annual subscription for COH, dropping from hula is probably the most emotional and difficult decision decision I've had to make in quite awhile. Loosing COH *and* hula...it all honestly feels like I'm cutting out family.

For those I have as friends on Facebook, please, please, *please* don't mention this on my profile yet! I sent an e-mail to my instructor (I've been a bit too emotional to carry on a telephone conversation) and have not received confirmation that she has received my e-mail about it. I have her and a lot of my hula sisters as Facebook friends and I want to ensure my instructor doesn't hear about it second or third hand before receiving my e-mail. That would be very poor hula protocol and I want to avoid that at all costs.

I blew it off as a whim a few weeks ago, but all of a sudden, the "loss of community" ideal has my attention.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Remember, just because certain members of the community are taking their leave, it doesn't mean we're loosing our community...just that the community is changing. Community is what you make of it, so keep Justice the awesomest, craziest ever. If for no other reason than to keep the hearth warm for those of us who intend to eventually return.

You have the rare ability to be sunny and cheerful without being "cutesy" about it, I've always enjoyed and appreciated that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sunny and cheerful? I guess my Facebook personality quiz hit the nail on the head after all. It's really great to have you back Liv, even if I wasn't here very long during your return. I've always seen you as one of the Justice community's greatest assets and hope you will keep in touch.

    P.S. I don't really hate you guys.

I only lash out because I'm hurting inside.

Also, if you do meet up with a bunch of people again, make sure you call my cell phone. That was hilarious talking to everyone last time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No worries LJ, I know that "I hate you guys" means "I love you guys and I'll miss you" in LJ speak. If there is ever another get-together and I'm in attendance, it'd be pretty awesome to be able to chat with you again. Just be sure to pass along your digit to someone who's attending if Missy's not going to be there...she's the keeper of your telephone number.

For everyone else whom I haven't directly replied to, thank you so much for your lovely sentiments! I really am crossing my fingers things at work will improve very soon so I can stick around (or at the very least, make my absence as short)!
  14. [ QUOTE ]
well ILL always be here soooooo... yeah

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good, you'll be here when I get back. Would you like to take care of the Church of Manoa or my "Trollish Carebear" title while I'm away?
  15. [ QUOTE ]
You are a part of Justice's heart and it will loose a bit of that love and compassion you carry when you leave.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Darlin', the same can be said of you. I'm really glad that you came out of the lurking shadows and started posting. You have done so much for this community and I'm certain that I am not alone when I say that things are just not going to be the same without you around. Keep in touch, K?
  16. Thanks all! No worries about me quite yet! I'm lucky that I had a feeling in my gut at the beginning of the year that '09 was likely going to be a rough year and have been saving up for awhile. So I'm luckier than most in that I do still have a job and am not in any particular hardship quite yet. But I had no clue how incredibly rough things would be at work and and getting that feeling in my gut again that I should go further into survival mode and buckle down more in case things get worse. There have been some reports that the real estate market and general economy may be bottoming out and/or showing some small signs of recovery. So *hopefully* things may get better soon. But at the same time, I'm taking all that with a grain of salt...I mean, they were saying around this time last year that the mortgage crisis would probably be over by late '08/early '09! And we all saw how *that* turned out!

I posted my contact infos in the another thread, but it's appropriate to post here as well. I've been growing more addicted to Crackbo...er, I mean Facebook and can be found there by searching for silverystar7(at)yahoo.com. I can be easily reached by that same e-mail address. If you contact me and I like ya enough, I may even let you in on my super sekrit for realz e-mail address! I have a MySpace account that I posted in the other thead as well, but I hardly ever check that account...much easier to find me on Facebook or via e-mails.

And trem...just remember that I'm not all that far from the SF Bay. Even if I'm not a current player at the time the next HeroCon rolls around, it doesn't mean I still can't drop by to be a COH groupie and hang out in the lobby! (so, who's going to smuggle food out of the awesome buffet for the Manoa??)
  17. Been wanting to post this for a couple days now, but was holding off until things to calmed down a little bit. Things seem to be a bit calmer and I'd rather not hold off this post any longer than I have to.

I understand the community is likely getting tired of the rash of “goodbye” threads that have been popping up on the Justice forum over the last couple days. However, I have been approached in-game and elsewhere in cyberspace regarding the possibility of my departure from the City of Heroes community and which to set the record straight on what exactly is gong on.

    The short answer…yes and no.

I have indeed unsubbed my annual account. My account expires on July 17th and I am currently in the process of debating whether or not to continue my account on a monthly basis. As many in the Justice community know, I work as a commercial real estate appraiser. With the economy in its current state, it is a *very* difficult time to be an appraiser. The real estate market, particularly in California, is in the toilet. The market in California has been on the decline for awhile now, but things has really have taken a nosedive since the stock market issues surfaced at the beginning of Q4 2008. As a result, that the credit markets have frozen up. This is particularly worrisome for appraisers who do a lot of third-party appraisal work for banks, as frozen credit markets mean the flow of credit has come to a standstill and has resulted in far less appraisal work to be done. It’s very, very scary and stressful time in the appraisal world right now.

I count my blessings that I am at least still employed and am not yet broke. But all this has me in conservation mode to prepare for the very real possibility that my income may dip further or may end up without a job altogether. As such, I’m seriously analyzing each and every expenditure to prepare for a worst case scenario.

I’ve been quietly pondering the possibility of leaving COH for a couple weeks now and as of yet, I have not yet made my final decision whether I will be staying or going. I assure the Justice community that my current disappointment regarding some of the stuff that has occurred over the past week is not the primary reason I am contemplating leaving COH. I assure you that this is not threat or ultimatum towards NCSoft, Paragon Studios or the COH community to change their ways or else I’ll leave. My decision honestly hinges on how things shake out between now and July 17th…though I will admit that should my disappointment last until then, it will make a tough decision a little more easy to swallow.

Know that the COH community, the Justice community in particular, means the absolute *world* to me. Before joining COH, never in a million years would I have thought that I could find so many people that I consider friends…no, *family*…on an online video game. I have greatly cherished every single moment I have spent with the Justice community and will continue to cherish the time I have left with the Justice community…no matter how long or short that time will be. Justice will always be `ohana in my heart and it is my fondest hope that the members of the Justice community feel the same.

  19. Yep, hence why I'm avoiding test for now. I logged in briefly to check out the new costume pieces, but that's as far as I'd like to go 'till the issue goes live. Plus, I need a breather from bug hunting.
  20. I totally forgot about this when I logged into live last night...saw how empty it was and was like "oh yeah, everyone must be on test for I15." I'm looking forward to *not* logging into test this time around and being surprised.

Anyone would think that because LHF and Manoa are agreeing with me on this subject, that I've taken Plasma's place in Team Awesome

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not really. I do think it speaks more on the seriousness of the situation how a Carebear and a Carebear Cousin like you can put aside our differences (even if it's temporarily). Just because we haven't seen eye to eye on most issues in the past doesn't mean that I'm not going to keep silent or change my opinion just because you have a valid point. I don't base my opinions on who agrees with me and who doesn't, I base them on what *I* feel is right and wrong.

P.S. Carebear stare alert...leave Plas out of this.

  24. On the topic of trust...I don't think anyone is saying that the developers should 100% trust the playerbase. Yes, there are players who can and will abuse the game and that is a valid enough reason not to trust all players.

But, there should be adequate communication between the developers and the players so their customers trust them. And that can be accomplished with reopening the lines of communications so the developers can interact with the playerbase like they used to and can listen to the players' feedback again.
