I think part of the point of the 3 arcs only policy is that in theory it should raise the quality of the arcs. (i.e. Everyone will publish their BEST three arcs, and the general quality of arcs will be higher.) I know, for example, that when I created my fourth arc, I removed from my first three arcs the one that I felt wasn't quite as good.
If you allowed twenty arcs per account, then there are many people who would post every single experimental, incomplete "story" that they made while spending 5 minutes playing around on MA. And there are others who would just immediately post 17 more farms. And we would all suffer as we wade through even MORE crap to find the good arcs.
But, yeah, there should be some way to allow people who are actually contributing good stuff to be able to keep it up indefinitely. -
I know you're really venting about the mentality of some of the players (and I hear ya, brother) but since no one else has chimed in I might as well give you the same flamin' response everyone else will.
A) Freedom. There's half your problem right there.
B) You complain that everyone is farming, and then when you logged in you went and farmed. Aren't you part of the problem? -
I can understand there are plenty of people who have pet places they would love to see for their particular stories. But there are A LOT of classic locations that are missing. It is criminal that the following places can't be used in a superhero game:
Surfaces of Mars, the Moon, and an Alien Planet
Space Station
Jungle
Ocean Floor
Underwater Base
Atop a Volcano
Mad Scientist's Lab (Vahz's lair is close, but is in the sewers)
Amusement Park
White House, Pentagon, and the Floor of Congress
Museum
Ruins other than Oranbega (Mayan, Egyptian, and Greek are good)
Shaolin Temple
Japanese Pagoda
High School
Nuclear Reactor
Dam
Suburbs
High-Rise Building on Fire
Desert
Train Station
Airport
Rooftops (you can get up to the rooftops in some city maps, but there are no spawn points)
One big problem is that for some reason the Dev's have restricted themselves to stories mainly in Paragon City and one specific other dimension (the Shadow Shard, and we can't even use that). Yet Superman spent quite a bit of time in places other than Metropolis (as an example). I would love an issue called "Globetrotting" that adds the Paragon City Airport and a bunch of standard story locations from around the world. -

It is inexplicable why Statesman would respond here when I provided a list of problems with unlockable contacts and their screwy badge in this thread.

Um... because he doesn't scour every single forum thread? Because this is as good of a place to announce it as any? There you go: fully explicted. -

They are also all over Port Oakes, real low levels. That is how I got mine.

That is where I went also. Marconeville (center of the map where you register your SG Name). Marcones left n right, 2 hrs, done.

If you have to spend 2 hours of boooooooring playtime hunting greys to get a contact, then this seriously needs to be fixed. What could possibly be the rationale behind forcing players to do this? In what way is this fun for anyone? -

What level is Arbiter Leary? I think that, me being 35, passed him up already.
I really wish they'd make the unlockable contacts available at any level.

My level 30 just talked to Arbiter Leary who told me that he had work for me, but only once I was level 35. So unless there's something bugged somewhere you shouldn't have outleveled him yet.
