Alright, I agree with some of what you said. I did KC instead of MB for Smash. Threw an LOTG in Maneuvers. Popped a purple set in Cages but not the others because they're giving me def bonuses. Did full Posi in Fissure. I'm going to leave Embrace as is for now. I don't like Increase Density so I'm not going to take it. I threw an LOTG in Rock Armor. Can I ask why Miracle proc over Numina?

Alright. Here is the new build. 44.4% S/L defense, resist is almost exactly the same. I changed a few slots to hopefully allow for better damage and more survivability. Thoughts?

The build I have now has me sitting at 46.4 S/L Defense. I'll see what I can do to keep that where it is while also adding in Seismic Smash.

I created a new build in Mids combining a bit of my own preference with some of Infini's slotting ideas. My question now - is going from 40% s/l defense to 32.6% s/l defense going to make a big difference in my survivability?

Thanks, I tossed that in Fire Cages and ran a 54x8 AE mish with 3 bosses in the first group and survived without an issue. My next question is, how can I kill things faster? Takes me flippin ages to kill a boss no matter how much I nerf his regen. :/ Ideas for that?

I want to also add that influence is of little to no consequence. I have a lot of it, I can make a lot of it - if you feel that a purple set would just really do the trick for a specific ability, don't be afraid to tell me that.

I have a fire/kin troller that I created specifically for farming SG mates and friends. Problem is, I have issues against bosses. I can solo farm till the cows come home with ease, but the second you involve bosses I start getting hit like a truck and die a lot. I was wondering if someone could take a look at my build to see if there's something I can change to fix this. Thanks in advance.

Well I officially give up. I downloaded the 270 series driver and I went over 24 hours without crashing so I thought I was in the clear. Now I've crashed twice in the past 18 hours. Le sigh!

Crashed again with the new beta driver. I've contacted NVIDIA, odds are they are going to have me revert back to an older driver which is fine by me. Hopefully that works!

Just updating the for the sake of anyone who cares or who might also be having the issue I am.
NVIDIA support requested I downloaded a beta version of a new driver to see if that fixed the issue. They said that if it doesn't, I might have to revert back to an old driver. I'm downloading the new driver now. I'll update this thread again if I crash. Le sigh. -
I just ran the hardware monitor again while in Pocket D awaiting a full group for BAF. 113F. Thanks for your input Mandu.
I guess I have to wait for a driver update or something to make this better. I just hope it happens sooner rather than later!

I've uninstalled McAfee Site Advisor. My gut is telling me that this isn't the issue, but I don't need it on here anyway. The temperature is Fahrenheit. Here's a screenshot of the hardware monitor currently. The computer has been on for maybe 10 minutes. The 111 degree temperature I reported last time was after it had been on for several hours.

CRAP! I've been playing all day and I thought I was fine, but the video card just crashed again. :c I feel defeated.

I hate to speak too soon but I think those settings worked. I had one mission in First Ward that I had attempted no less than 6 times and was never able to complete because the video card crashed EVERY SINGLE time, before I could get even halfway through the mission. After changing my settings, I was able to complete that mission plus a couple of the followups without a single issue. This may be a solution! I'll post again if I crash.

I just did the things that Healix suggested. I had all of those options available to me and changed them all. We'll see if that helps. -
Update:
I changed my TdrDelay to 5 seconds, video card crashed with the same error. Changed it to 8 seconds, crashed again with the same error. At least, I think I changed it... the instructions I kept finding were for XP, not Vista, and I'm not 100% sure I did it right. I downloaded a program to check the temps of my computer. The video card is sitting at a chill 111 degrees. So basically, I've gotten no closer to finding an answer. :/ I submitted a question to NVIDIA customer support, we'll see what they have to say. -

I made the change Hyperstrike suggested. We'll see what happens. If it is just because CoH runs on OpenGL, is there anything I can do about it? Or am I just SoL?
