    Jack, you should remove burn from the powerset then. If it is being used as a "trump" power take it out, up our resistance in fire and plasma shield, and add a resistance to immobilization. It was my understanding that burn existed because resistances for fire tanks were weaker than the other tanker primaries. Was that incorrect?

    Additionally, taking burn out of the picture will require us to depend more on our secondary powerset and free up 6 precious slots.

  3. Jack, all we want is your total honesty and no spin. Your customers have very strong feeliings about this game. Over the past year we have grown very attached to our heroes so I hope you'll understand why players like myself and others have a tendency to take reductions in our powers personally. I may not agree with your vision but if you take the time to explain the severity of the changes I'll at least have a better understanding of why.

    On a much more important note, my best wishes to your brother. I hope is is able to safely return to you and your family soon.
  4. You guys did absolutely NOTHING about the over-the-top fear effect burn now has thus making it a useless power. When ever I would attemp to use this power ALL villains would immediately scatter to the four winds. If I want to use the attacks in my secondary powerset I now have to CHASE them down. I tried taunting until I was blue in the face and it didn't matter one iota. BTW, did you guys forget the burn is the only power we have to break free from holds and by increasing the recharge rate you have hindered our ability to proctect our team to a greater degree?

    You are the one that said that all ATs should be able to solo and teaming should be encouraged. The changes to burn now make it impossible to solo for any tank that 6 slotted his defenses first, followed by fiery aura, burn, and hasten. Why those first? Because that build afforded the most flexibility to solo and effectively play a teams meat shield until one could properly slot secondary attacks.

    The changes to burn now makes is now the lastest in the list of powers you have nerfed thus making the game less enjoyable for the majority of your paying customers. Do you think so little of us that you have let your vision to achieve balance blind you to our valid concerns and ideas?

    I (and apparently a whole bunch of other fire tanks on this forum) want an explanation - YOU OWE US AN EXPLANATION. Part of being a leader is ensuring the morale and welfare of those you are supposed to lead is protected. You may be the lead developer but this is OUR game. You have a responsibility to your customers and providing sarcastic replies to our valid concerns is totally unnacceptable.

  5. As much as a like to b*tch (if the saying 'A b*tching sailor is a happy sailor' is true then I'm orgasmic), I have to give credit when it's due.

    The development team did a bang up job with the trick arrow and archery set.

    I'm now up to level 10 on the test server with a trick arrow/archery defender. I am REALLY enjoying this new powerset (almost makes me forget about all the tanker nerfs - almost) but I am a tad puzzled about 'poison gas arrow'. From the description it is supposed to give minimal damage and have some sort of slow effect on the target/mob. However, I am not really seeing any evidence of this. Unlike the glue arrow where the slow effect is quite obvious there is no sign of villains slowing down when poison gas arrow is used.

    I currently have is slotted with 1 'slow' training enhancement.

    Can anyone provide any feedback on this?

    Isn't that what I said? Not giving low level players more consideration would be like having a slam dunk contest and having NBA players compete against 10 year old kids.

    For the record, I usually only hold contests for low level toons.

    In the case of the level 37 (while her costume did rock), her bio was lacking the patriotic theme I was looking for. Everyone was given 5 minutes to beef their bio up too. I still gave her a generous cash award though.

    I am more inclined to award 1st place to a low level toon. For example, in the contest I recently held there was a level 37 with an incredible costume. You know what really pulled it together though? The combination of the mask with glowing eyes.

    If ALL heroes had the option of capes with auras I'd wouldn't care about levels as much. However, in a costume contest I do have to take these things into consideration when looking at the overall picture.
  8. Wow. Could you BE more bitter???

    I held one on Protector and awarded 1 million to the hero with the combination of the best patriotic costume and biography. The winner certainly did not think it was fake. The 2nd and 3rd place winners were given fat awards too. As a matter of fact, ALL heros that made the finals where given 50k.

    My advice to you is to quit designing crappy costumes.

    This is like saying that "street" cops get no experience from patroling the streets and the only way to become a REAL police officer is to solve a case.

    Poor logic.

    XP is ALL incompassing. Whether you patrol the streets of Paragon City or complete a misison. The toon is a reflection of everything he/she experiences. Much like real life.
