Erste Runde der Server-weiten Wettkämpfe
Wettkampfgrundlagen

Quote:I'm really looking forward to this, but I'm slightly apprehensive about whether or not my comp will be able to handle/load into a crowded Virtue Pocket D.
How will instances be handled, if any? Will it be the first instance, the lowest available instance, across all instances... etc.? And what about any unfortunate disconnections? It might be helpful to know if I need to stake out hours before the thing starts to ensure I'm anchored to the blooming dance floor.
If there are multiple instances, we will have hosts in each and the judges will move between them. Once we get to the arena portion, you will be able to move out pocket d (if you are chosen) and join the arena event from another zone should your computer not be able to keep up with Pocket D. If someone DCs during the arena match (or on the way in) we've left enough time to set up a second match so that person has a chance to show off his/her powers. -
Quote:I'm glad this contest goes until Nov. 15, because I'm meticulously designing my base. I'm actually running into the concern of trying to spend all of my points, but it'll work.
I'm more worried about the new base features on Beta, I'm honestly hoping that doesn't come out until after this contest, because it'd cause all of us to re-do our bases with the new functionality!
There is certainly no penalty for coming in UNDER budgetAnd I agree with you about 21.5!
-
Quote:So my VEAT is being punished for having a generic VEAT outfit, the only outfit which truly represents who he is and where he came from.
Also the fact that VEATs and HEATs can't customize their powers doesn't bode well.
>>>>.<<<<
Just because you cannot customize your powers to the the VEAT does not mean that you do not have a united concept. There are lots of options to make a VEAT unique looking including color, hair style, etc. If you put on a good performance to show how strong your concept is, then that is what we will be looking for, not whether your powers are colored or not, but how well thought out and executed your costume/concept/etc. is. -
Danke,

I'm currently in a hotel, and we won't have power back tomorrow. So before friday is probably not going to be good for me (dueling on hotel internet is just a bad idea LOL).
-
Okay Loopy, as I said, I'd challenge you. So if you want to, let's dance.
-
More like 12 inches of snow in October and a ton of downed trees and power lines! After an exhausting (and freezing) day one of the hotels got power back. I am in the hotel now. Really bummed about how this weekend went though -
Sadly our power has not yet returned. We made reservations at two hotels which now both have no power. Every else within a 90 min drive is full. I regret to say that I will have to reschedule this event for some unknown time in the future. Very sorry all for the short notice.
-
Unfortunately mmp and I lost power about 90 minutes ago. I am posting from a phone now lol. The rest of this event will be rescheduled for 5 pm eastern tomorrow. Many apologies for the inconvenience.
-
This is tonight! I hope to see some awesome costumes
If enough people show up, I have an Olympian Guard costume code to give out!!!
-
Great matches!
Round 1- MP
Round 2- Shade
Round 3- MP
Had a blast Shade, thanks! -
Thanks to @Celtic Fist for a donation of 50 mill (handed out at Hami raid).
3 billion from the bank will go towards a Victorious Halloween.
2 billion from the bank will go towards covering Victory's portion of Mr. & Ms. Paragon Universe.
Which leaves 2 billion for prizes at the auction, which will be coming up soon!! -
Quote:Rice Said:Let's have a free for all! Lol
I'm not sure if I have rules right either. I thought challenges up had to be made by Wednesday night and after that if you had not been challenged you could challenge down if you had not been challenged by someone below you on the ladder.
Quote:I challenge Loopy. If he challenges up, then I challenge MP.
Quote:Sorry Ra Ra...but I challenge Smallz this week!
Quote:Sorry Loopy I love fighting you and stuff but I'm gonna challenge Saga... *gulp* o.o yeahhhhh.....
And free for all sounds fun... let's do level 5 and I'll switch to a blaster
-
Quote:not sure if challenges up count after wed! But if smallz fights saga then I challenge MP! Looooopyyyyyyyy
Forgive me if I am wrong, but I think since Rice challenged up to you, then you have to take his challenge and you can't challenge down.
If that's so, then I will pre-emptively challenge you (Loopy) for next week (assuming I am in a position to challenge you lol). -
Sorry it was lost, but glad you were able to find it! Welcome to Base #17
-

-
There will be no Hami raid on 10/29. Instead please enjoy "A Victorious Halloween" http://tinyurl.com/vichalloween

Quote:Might I ask what are the judging categories? Such as: Costume, powers, showmanship, attitude, back story quality, etc.
In round 1 we will be looking at your costume as a whole (and any aura powers or weapons you have out) and how creative, unified, color choice(do they work together) and original it is.
In round 2 we are looking to see the costume, aura choice, if the power customization you have done adds to the overall concept of the character, the showmanship you use when displaying your powers (do you just stand there and shoot or are you really putting on a show), how any emotes you choose to use add to the concept.
In the finals, you will be asked to tell us about your concept and why you made any specific choices you did (example- a character with no head, you might tell why they do not have one). That will be in addition to everything listed in round 2. Rather than read character's biographies, we want the contestants to have the freedom to tell us what they feel really matters (which may or may not be in their biography).
I hope that answered your questionand if I can answer any others, please feel free to post or PM!
