It isn't true mez protection though, and we don't know what the recharge is. It is just reactionary, so you'll still get detoggled.

Self damage? I didn't hear anything about that.

I'd reserve judgement until I've seen the numbers, of course, but all Blasters already get increasing damage bonuses as they attack with Defiance - Reach for the Limit may not be a great substitute for Build Up.
Apparently it gives about 33% damage boost when it activates, and it lasts longer than a normal build up. So it sounds like it should be better over time than actual build up and you don't need to interrupt your attack chain to use it.

Yea, I can see me using it with my CHAAAINSAAWW.

I'm currently gonna be replacing my namesake's Demon Axe (Still want a scythe!) with the Chainsaw, because there is nothing more badass than a grim reaper with a chainsaw.

    Nothing.

Throw Sand? really?? Become a hero they said..see the world they said..oh and throw dirt in peoples faces. Great. Also thats only..4? actual attacks, an assuming chi push isnt huge damage? I still dont like this business with all blaster secondaries getting an absorb..and a heal also in this case, as well as a tp!

The dom secondary..sadly does not really interest me at all. I tried shurikens on a scrapper and the look just was not working. Also, envenomed blades..cool idea..but HOW do blades add damage..to kicks? The old shoe blade trick?
Most blaster secondaries only have about 4 or 5 attacks, if any at all (devices).

The shuriken got new animations. Not the same as the ones you saw on your scrapper.

    Or poisoned feet!
  7. I REALLY hope Ki Push doesn't get removed in beta because it isn't natural enough. This set seems more ninja-y than natural. Flash step, force push, that power that slows everything around you...

Ki Push is fine and should never be removed. It is one of the coolest powers ever. And to be replaced by something as boring as Web Grenade? Ew.

Dominators basically get the left overs and ports from other sets and while this does work and I have quite a few Doms that I enjoy immensely, the fact that there is no natural or gadget Primary to team with this ( which many Dom players have been asking for) leaves me very sad and somewhat nonplussed.
The Dom primary is shared with controllers, and really no control sets are obviously 'natural.' All of them are elemental.

Thanks, I've never seen one of these things because my computer dislikes them.
  13. PB have an easier time at taking down a hard target than WS. Because inding more bodies to Mire is not an infinite thing, eventually you do run out of bodies. A PB is more self sustained, it doesn't rely on enemies for its offense and defense.
  14. Web Grenade? Ew, I much prefer this. Don't forget that this is a blaster secondary, a PBAoE KB is a great thing to have solo. And Inner Will looks like one of the main draws to the set.

... Now I have to pick up Dimension Shift.
  16. Arbiter Hawk steals most of his ideas from people commenting on the idea he stole in the future.
  17. THe only things that dissapoint me are:

No Crane Kick. I like kicking people in the jugular.

Throw Sand seems like an anticlimactic T9, even though its probably very useful.

Now they're going to make me change my sig!

Well there is a reason. Support sets are used by Defenders, Masterminds, Corruptors, and Controllers. Blast sets are used by Defenders, Blasters, and Corruptors. Defense and Melee are both used by Stalkers, Scrappers, Brutes, and Tanks. So those sets would get more developement than Assault (dominator), Manipulation (Blaster) and Pet (Mastermind.) They can please three to four times as many crowds by working on some opposed to others.

Not fun, but it makes business sense.

I don't think the leveling timeline can take much more, with the whole "Statesman never existed" thing.

No, all three brains unite to form one uberbrain.

Other than that, you've got it.

Would it be possible to have a debuff/control added to the attacks in Martial Assault? Every other Assault set has a secondary effect across the majority of powers (Ice: -slow/-recharge, Earth: -defence, Thorns: -defence/DoT, Fire: DoT, Electric: -end, Psionic: -recharge, Dark: -to-hit, Energy: stun/knockback). With the set being lethal and smashing it needs something to help it along and to synergise with the primary.
It seems comparable with Archery and Martial Arts in that it has no secondary effect. Though maybe it could use some KD.

I think it'd be more comparable to Voltron than Super-17.
