What I wish I could have been over there.
"Protect"

Quote:Hmmm they are going to be in the area during the New York Comic Con, any of you within traveling distance?i appreciate everyones comments and concerns. As far as "paperwork" goes its exactly what you mentioned Imp. Turbo is working on the charter. You guys actually kinda caught us with our pants down sort of speak (no doubt a plot of Pantsie). We were waiting on a response from the devs before ironing out the details and now that Going Rogue is live and settled we can start working it out. But i promise that any news that i get i will relay here.

Quote:Let me know......I am def interested in the conversations. For the past couple of months Turbo, Sidhe and I having been talking to the devs about forming a committee for bases. Now this is not just a committee for voicing the needs of base builders (although i feel its the most important part), but also to create events and organize contests that are specific to bases. Right now we are still in the organization and paperwork stage, but since it was being rumored we felt that you guys deserved to know what we are doing. Everyone including the devs are excited about this and we will post more info as it comes.

Home from vacation, I can start working on your base. I will login and we can work out details. I will post my drawings and creation as it unfolds on the forums.

Quote:Extremely impressed and as a guy who loves Roman history, you def have an eye for detail.Ludus Magnus was a gladiator school in roman times that housed and trained fighters and was linked underground to the Flavian.... ok I know I'm a history nerd. So I'm just about done with it and thought I'd post up with a slideshow ( I hope this link works )

Quote:Jophiel, GREAT COSTUME, really wonderful!Minaret, my new Shield/Mace tanker
A Saracen warrior from the 13th century, Minaret stumbled across a cave leading to a tomb filled with treasure. Thinking to move it to safety before the European Crusaders found and looted it, he collected the riches. Unfortunately for him, this triggered a curse from a ring among the treasure and he was bound to the tomb, unable to die and attain paradise. He can still be wounded and even "die" temporarily but he continues to come back to life and be denied eternity in heaven. Recently, archeologists with MAGI uncovered his tomb and were able to free him from the cave although the ring remains bound to him, locking him into life. He is assisting MAGI now partially out of gratitude and partially because he still hopes to one day free himself of the curse and pass from this world into the next.
Ok, so most of that was handwaved stuff after I saw the name open and decided to try and make a character around it. -
Quote:Only issue would be lack of accolades, must have some way to have thoseOkay, while we're dreaming:
Create PvP-Only Character Option:
You may create a character that only has access to PvP zones, Pocket D, and Bases. Characters of this type start out at level 50, have all accolades, and have access to all enhancements, free of charge (since PvP characters have inf/prestige earning, email, and trading disabled). The character creation screen would resemble Mids, and PvP characters have unlimited respecs, which use the same Mids-type character creation interface. PvP characters cannot use zone entrances or use teleporters, so they must access zones by using a special power that summons a portal that lists all PvP zones, Pocket D, and their SG/VG base as the only destinations.
When the code for this pack goes live, PvP and PvP zone-related badges are removed from the game forever. -
Quote:Let me know if you need help @theoriginalwarface on virtue. I did the Dwellers in Darkness base, here on the forums, you can search for the screen shots. I can do a tech or a arcane base.Virtue server. Lightning Strike Initiative needs their base finished. It's half complete right now, we need someone who can provide the same level of building as what is already in place. Please PST @Liberty Darling with prices/pictures and to see the base we have already.
Dont need money, but I can work it for free as time permits. -
Really like Kontrol Faktor's eyes/face design. Reminds me of one of the guys from Clone Wars

Quote:I just did a little sketch outlining what I wanted, I got lucky and landed the artists who do the New X-Men Comic.I am genuinely awestruck. This is the most amazing piece of CoX fanart I have seen, ever. Wow.
They were great! I love the richness of the color. FUSION used to be the number 2 VG on the Protector Server, did loads of raids, had a ton of fun making comics and movies. Unfortunately, it slowly died as we had an loss of players from the game, then it wasnt the same. We had a great run though. Now Warface has wandered into the Virtue Dimension. Hopefully he can find a new home

If I could design it and keep it fairly simple/balanced it would be.
1. Emotes
Fight Club sign raised (similar to protest)
Laying down Cockroach emote (Funny ~ legs sticking up)
Taking hands and pushing into barrels of glass/ showing them
Breaking Ice in a show of force
Breaking Wood in a show of force.
Lays Fighting/sparring mat on ground in front of you 10 ft' by 10 ft'
2. Non-Enhanceable Powers
One-Inch Punch: It does only minor damage, causes extreme knock back. === Moderate Recharge
Willpower: Moderately boosts your resistance to immobilization, sleep, disorient and hold effects for 180 seconds. Must be used before you are slept, held or disoriented, but can be used after being immobilized.=== Slow Recharge
Break Free: Frees you from many sleep, hold, immobilization, disorient, fear, confuse, and knockback effects and boosts your resistance to repel, taunt, and placate effects for 60 seconds. This inspiration can be used even while under such effects.
-15 Magnitude protection against Hold, Sleep, Stun, Immobilize, Fear, and Confuse; -7.5 Magnitude protection against Knockback and Knockup; 50% resistance to Taunt, Placate, and Repel.=== Slow Recharge
Web Grenade: Upon impact, the Web Grenade expels a strong, tenuous, and very sticky substance that can Immobilize most targets. This non-lethal device deals no damage and does not prevent targets from attacking, although their attack rate is Slowed. The Web can bring down flying entities and halts jumping.=== Moderate Recharge
You could add any of the others from the Sirens Call Store, but when you get too many it may get unbalanced. I recommend no more than four powers, all unenhanceable, and all moderate to slow recharge.
3. Costume piece
Cant decide, thoughts? -
As I looked out my window, I noticed an old building. Strangely it looks very, very similar to a building that is on one of the COH city maps. I decided there were probably some mobs nearby, or at least one of the doors could get me halloween salvage.
Makes me wonder if the devs (or the ones that designed the city buildings) spent some time in Reno for "inspiration" -
Thanks fellars..............Izzz Old now. Who bought me a cane?

Hey all, when I first came over to Virtue with Warface and a few other friends from Protector, I thought I would rebuild this base and SG a bit. Dont have as much time these days with work to play other than to keep my toon in the SG and play maybe three-four times a week. However, if there are any ACTIVE VILLAIN SGs out there (Thats the qualifier--plus I get to stay on with my two toons that will be your everyday peon and experienced base editor at your disposal :P) that WANT a nice fully functional base like this already pre-made with ALL equipment, and Ancient Roman decor (with added walk-in spaceship lol) --------then let me know and I can SG invite your leaders and you can move your SG over to Dwellers.
I can make room by moving out anyone that hasnt logged in 30 days.......... I will promote you to leaders and you guys run the show. Its a fun MULTI-LEVEL base, good for RP, and heavily equipped for base raids (with a nice gladiator pit for 1 v 1) if they ever come back. This is an older picture btw and it now has the arcane Dimensional Vortex enclosed in a massive Roman building (equivelant to the FUSION generator) as well.
If there are small SGs with a small coalition that want to combine onto a large base, its a way to do it as well.- I just hate to see it go to waste.

Im starting to think I went the wrong way and should have rolled a DS/Dark like the masses. Anyone else try a pain up into the 50s and see how it feels? Right now even with constant heals, my Demons get beat up fairly quickly without significant mitigation like Dark provides--not to mention an extra pet.

Quote:SIGNED and in a big way. They need to state the name of the pack. Writing a generic number and Perk is semi-retarded and I am sure an oversight. (unless they want people to accidently click on something twice lol. If they do......I have a large shovel I carry.Well I just bought that Ninja Pack. I also noticed on the shopping page the Science Pack... but I couldn't REMEMBER if I'd already bought it or not. And none of the packs are actually NAMED in your account of course, they all go under the generic name of "perk".
So what the hell, I bought the Science Pack in case I forgot to buy it. It wouldn't let me buy it if I didn't need it right? So I bought the pack and applied it to my account.
Now, I'm pretty well off, enough so that I can throw a bit of money around... and I was curious... so I decided to buy the SAME pack again, and apply it to the SAME account, just to see if the site would recognize that I already have it and not allow me to essentially waste my money.
No deal, the site was MORE than happy to take my money twice and "apply" the same pack to my account twice.
I see something seriously wrong here. It doesn't bother ME, to be honest, because I have the cash to blow... but with it ONLY saying "perk" in the description on your account... how can people know whether they HAVE paid for something or not without actually going in game and looking for the "results" of the pack?
And what's to prevent people that aren't so smart from clicking to buy the same pack over and over again and totally blowing their money for no extra product?
I honestly believe this to be a serious flaw in the NCSoft store... am I the only one that thinks this way? Or do the "idiots" really deserve to be parted with their money without getting any benefit from the loss?
