I was told Mr. majestic was basicly superman so ya used that image to base mine off of. I also used a wolverine picture for the Agent Quicksilver I did. Sometimes it's just faster that way. Why? Is that a problem?

    [/ QUOTE ]

"Is that a problem?" Are you serious? It's blatantly obvious that you did more than use it as a so-called base. Anybody who has basic knowledge of Photoshop can overlay your copy over Jim Lee's image and will see that it lines up to a T. Of course it's "faster" to trace over someone else's hard work and skill than to actually try to do it yourself lol. But yeah, that's wrong, that's a problem. I think it's not only a huge slap in the face to Jim Lee, but to any real artists here in this community alone who are actually dedicating their time to learning and developing their art skills on their own.

    Hello

Yeah, he's a cool-looking character. Nice screenshots. Especially that Buddha-inspired spiritual scene one. I haven't seen that in game yet.
  3. Wonderful thread! Great advice and information.
  4. ^^ No problem, that can be arranged. I'll email you.
  5. I'm not sure how simple or complex this is, but Coppermine Photo Gallery is a gallery that I've seen used a LOT over the years. Categories, albums, thumbnails, captions and comment boxes, it offers pretty much everything.

Also check out HotScripts for loads of free scripts, including galleries.
  6. Aww, don't sweat it Archimedes. Yours is coming along very nicely! You'll see

Aren't your hands full already? How could you manage all three sites within schedules and deadlines? Are you going to subcomission your work?

    [/ QUOTE ]

First, we're not launching either of the two new sites until our current queue list is down. At that time, we'll be implementing a new queue system. Well technically, it's our old one. During the very first week we launched last August, we only allowed 10 commission spots at a time, and it worked very efficiently. We're confident that with that system in place again, managing numerous sites won't be a problem.
  8. LOL! I needed a laugh this evening too. Great presentation Monkey
  9. With the release of Katfood's latest pieces, came a few concerns that I'd like to address here as well. First let me say that if you ever have a question, comment, or concern, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or Jomaro. You'll always get a reply fairly quickly because we both practically live on our computers, lol.

Now in response to the previously posted concerns and assumptions, here are the reasons why we recently made the queue list viewable to clients only, and why there are occasional deviations in our queue:

1 - We receive several birthday/anniversary surprise requests. Most of these are all rush orders because of the obvious deadlines involved. Prior to the queue relocation, these pieces could not be listed on the home page at all in order to protect the element of surprise for the recipient (i.e. uMz, Celtic Bolt, Miss Foley & Mini Miss Foley, and Bishop - all non-listed birthday surprise pieces). As a matter of fact, some of those pieces were complete significantly earlier than the birthdates that they were posted.

2 - Sometimes return customers place what we call 'up in the air' requests. After a piece has been completed, a client may PM us or email us with another idea for their character and reserve another spot on the list. However, their new idea sometimes gets dragged out over a period of months due to costume changes, changes in the art medium they want the piece in, changes in how many characters they want or a different character altogether, or the delay could be for personal reasons they don't share with us. By the time they are ready to proceed, their initial reserved spot may technically have passed long by. But because they are a return customer, and we have an established familiar relationship, we just get it done ASAP for them when they are finally ready. So what may seem to be a brand new piece out of the blue, in actuality is a piece that was over 6 months in the making. This was the case for Katfood's latest pieces. As she mentioned, her plans for more artwork were made almost a year ago. But we didn't receive a definitive request until just this past Sunday. Sure, Jomaro could have told her 'Hey it's Sunday, it's my day off. You'll just have to wait'. But he decided to just knock both of them out for her because all she wanted was pencils, and technically she's had these plans in place longer than all the 25+ people in our current queue.

3 - Jomaro does not work on just one piece at a time. As TicToc and other artists know, after 12+ hours working on one piece fatigue or even boredom may set in. It helps to swap out projects to keep up creativity and motivation overall. Typically he works on 3-6 pieces at once. And depending on the type of piece they are, some just get completed faster. For example, the next in the queue is Technophile and Cross-Wire, a massive full color piece which has already been penciled. This week Jomaro has begun to ink it. But at the same time, he's had to stop to correspond with Amoria & L6 about some composition changes to their color pieces. And Starstorm & Rogue and Mime, the next orders on the queue, have both approved the first drafts of their pencil pieces; which means their work is already pretty much 75% done. By this weekend, it is more than likely that Technophile & Cross-Wire will be inked, Amoria and L6 will be penciled, and Starstorm & Rogue and Mime will both be complete because they are just pencils. It's not that they were started before the next one in line, it's that they were completed before the next one in line. It all depends on the complexity of your order.

Then there are of course, personal reasons behind delays. Jomaro is only one man and whatever affects him affects everything he's involved in. Over this past month we were out of state for two weeks. Then he was sick with the flu for a week and a half after that. And in about two months from now, we'll be moving. On top of all that, he still has to manage his graphic design company as well as MMOART. Jomaro is always drawing/designing/creating something as continuously as possible. That's just how he likes to work. It's no wonder he's a coffee addict, lol!

This is why we decided to limit incoming orders. The MMOART plate is full enough, and we are focused on clearing out all the pending orders that are currently in queue. So don't worry, your artwork is definitely coming!

Please be assured that there is always a reason behind every move we make on MMOART.com. And we do not at all intend to confuse or deceive anyone we work with. We are in constant communication with the clients of the works in production, so that they are aware of their progess from start to finish no matter what may come up.

We also received many questions about the upcoming expansion that was mentioned in Katfood's thread, MMOART Exotics. We're developing this new site to serve the players who are interested in fan art with mature adult content. Sexually explicit acts (that are found in Hentai for example) will NOT be promoted nor displayed on this site, however featured artworks will contain some nudity. MMOART Exotics is not intended for minors under the age of 18, nor for anyone who finds material of a sexual nature offensive. Basically, you can expect to see art content similar to the erotic fantasy works of Boris, Frazetta, Sorayama, Julie Bell, etc. only done in Jomaro's style. The new site will launch tentatively in a few weeks. However no work on Exotics orders will begin until a substantial amount of pending MMOART orders have been completed.

Again, if any of you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask us. We're always around. See, now it's 4 am and here I am while Jomaro is still drawing right behind me, lol. Tonight we're just insomniacs
