Not exactly. Blasters are the primary Archetype of power. They deal the most amount of Damage, and have the least amount of Hit Points. This Archetype, the Power Converter, Has more hit points, but deals less damage, as the Description I put down indicates.

Well, today's Charity Service was an excellent Success. (Even though there were a few people who kept insisting on getting more influence.)

I quite like your idea for the inherent - having a character who absorbs damage to become offensively more powerful.

There are plenty of examples in comcis, Sebastian Shaw foer example, and the Brute Archetype proves that this can work in game.

I especially like it if their defences are not Tank level, because that introduces some gameplay tension - you could get a sweet damage buff by taking that alpha, but you may not survive it. Or you could follow the tank in and get a lesser buff more safely.

I would rather see this applied to a new Defence set though, rather than to a whole new archetype. For example, an Absorption set for Scrappers and Stalkers that gives them resistance, no heal or rez like you say, mez protection and a toggle that allows them to convert damage into damage buffs.

It would be a fun new game mechanic to play with.

Here's an Idea I just thought of last night for a new Archetype. It's called Power Converter.

Power Converters are Are Kinda like a Small Mix of Tankers and Blasters. Here's a general Idea behind the Archetype;

Damage: Medium

Hit Points: Medium

Advantages;

1. Like the Tanker, they have Strong Damage Resistance to several different attacks. (With the exception of Psionic based Attacks.)

2. Like the Blaster, they have Powerful Ranged Attacks.

3. He/She is able to Taunt.

Disadvantages;

1. Very Few Close Range Attacks.

2. No Heals or Resurrections.

Inherent: Conversion

The Power Converter Feeds on ranged attacks. whenever The Power Converter's been hit by a Ranged Attack (Except for Psionic Based Attacks), they temporarily gains a Small boost in Damage to their attacks for a few seconds. The More the Power Converter is hit by Ranged attacks, the greater the Damage increase.

I'd like some opinions on this. Does it seem to powerful? Or is this an interesting Archetype?

To make it short and simple. I put up the list because I want people to know that it's a successful Charity Service this week.
