… I just can’t be led by a guy named Floyd.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    OMG I can.

<3 Dark Side of the Moon and Brain Damage... and On the Turning Away... and Shine On... and many, many more...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm rather partial to "Learning to Fly" and "Welcome to the Machine" myself.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think the only Floyd song I'll turn off is Money. The rest, pure <3.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can't turn off Money! It's a gas!

Hey, GFN, you all done with work? You caught up on tomorrow's work? All your housework in order? No dangling priorities anywhere?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Will give you a full update as soon as you subscribe to my monthly services.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Good answer.

I hope your boss doesn't play, though.

But yet Positron has time to post inane stuff like Photo 1,2,3 while ignore many people's repeated requests to address missing features that they have paid for.

    I'm just curious.

Ok, but I can't talk about Issue 11 or beyond... but that's pretty much what you guys WANT me to talk about so we are at an impass.

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Okay, how 'bout this:

Is there a Praetorian version of Lord Recluse, and if so, what's his name?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd bet his name is Captain Fancy-Pants, and he's the Praetorian World's most flamboyantly extroverted television talk-show host.

Today? Jeebuz. I saw it like...2 days ago. Catch up n00bs!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I saw it on Wednesday. The 27th. Nooblet.
  7. Hey guys, what's going on in this thrHOLY CRAP IT'S A SPIDER WHAT THE HELL OH MY GOD GET BACK IN THE CAR!!!1!1!!11!2
  8. My one comment, because I haven't worked up the passion to read it all the way through yet...

(and forgive me if this sounds a bit jerkish. It's a pet peeve of mine)

End questions with question marks, and statements with periods.

    [ QUOTE ]
    Melodia: So what's your power?
    Joe: I don't really have a power?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is Joe asking a question there? If so, what, and if not, why is there a question mark?

Sorry, that sort of thing just bothers the heck out of me for no appreciable reason. And it's an easy excuse for someone (like, say, someone who might be interested in paying for the work) to stop reading.
  9. That was beautiful. Beautiful, man!
  10. 'twas awesome. 'twas awesome indeed.

Liberty Server was home to a really interesting roleplayer who called himself "Cog Warlord" in the days of I1/I2. The Cog Warlord tried very hard, within the restrictions of CoH, to be a real villain, long before CoV came out.
He played using fairly high level Tanker, and in his "Warlord" guise, he'd announce via broadcasts as well as on the Liberty Forum here, that he was going to further the plans of the Clockwork King by leading a charge of mobs to area X in zone Y.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh man, I remember that guy. He was great.
  12. Well, not any more, Mr. slow-poke-on-the-killing.

    *munchmunchmunch*
  13. Gah! Kill it! Kill it before it eats our brains!

I guess you have to subscribe to watch it. I tried everything but that and couldn't find an option to watch your video.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm not subscribed to that site and I watched it fine. Methinks the problem lies somewhere else, matey.
  15. Zloth, I love you and would like to adopt foreign-born babies with you.

Seriously, manually doing movement in demos is one of my all-time pet peeves about the whole process. The villains running after the hero in "Your Superpowers and You!" ? I cheated, to an extent, and it was still a pain in the [censored].

I've got a whole thing planned for an upcoming movie that I was frankly scared of having to do. With this, even if the interface is enough to cause me temporary sterility and color-deafness in my left foot, it'll be a snap.

    Awesome work, dude. Simply awesome.
  16. [ QUOTE ]
How did you get it to look so detailed and with no names or other UI.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    One word, four syllables: demorecord.
  17. It's working good. The action is a tad far off, though. Hard to see what's going on. Scroll that camera in a bit.

    Good work on the editing.
  18. It took me for-freakin'-ever, but I've finally got WMV versions of my latest movie up on my site.

And while you're there, if you'd like to buy a t-shirt, you can do that, too.

BTW, for a limited time, all the proceeds from any t-shirt sales will be going directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Go Team!
  19. Ah ha, as Zloth has found, the codec I used isn't in quicktime 6. but it is in quicktime 7.

    And it's hellishly space-saving.

And for quicktime disusers, I am working on the WMV versions. I promise. Soon!
  20. [ QUOTE ]
I can't get it to play, either. Just updated my Quicktime and still no go. The sound plays but no video. Other movies on the site play fine. The YouTube works, too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm. Well, I was liking the H.264 codec because of the really nice savings on size, but I'd rather have people need to wait a bit longer to see it rather than not seeing it at all.

Maybe I'll put up a slightly larger MPEG-4 compressed version...
  21. After several long months of work, effort, procrastination, real-life interference, more procrastination, work and effort, my latest short, silly movie has arrived!

For your high-speed, low-quality viewing pleasure, The Recruit Part 1 and Part 2 are up on YouTube, along with the rest of my movies.

(YouTube is currently down as I'm writing this, but if you go there and search for "MoonHill", you'll find all of my CoH movies)

Both versions are at my website, as well as YouTube presentations of my other movies
There are also better-quality, downloadable versions (or even the whole ~10 minute-long saga in its original, undivided form). Feel free to wander around.

On a related note to the announcement above, I have a quick request to make: This coming October, my wife and I are going to be competing in a triathalon as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team-In-Training. In return for the training and support TNT gives, I'm tasked with raising money for the LLS to help fund cancer research. Our triathalon team members include many people with family members who are battling cancer, as well as cancer survivors themselves. I'm truly honored to be racing alongside them, and for so worthy a cause, and I need your help to raise as much money as I can for the effort.

If you've enjoyed my movies and have a bit of lucre to spare, please do consider heading over to my donations page and sending a little over. No donation is too small, all donations are tax-deductable, and every bit helps.

(If you'd like to make a donation, but do not wish to use a credit card, please drop me a PM and I'll happily let you know whom and where to send a check.)

Thanks for reading all the way down to here. Hope you enjoy the much too-long and not terribly visually interesting movie!

Pffft. I need to update a lot of the links on my page.

    Thanks for the drop.

    Demo Record

A demorecord is nothing more than a text file that tells the engine what to do (and is stored in your "client_demos" folder).

When you learn how to play around with the commands in a demo file, using nothing more than a text editor, you can do all sorts of stuff.

There are a variety of good guides linked at my website(in my sig)
