Congrats everyone! Sorry I had to miss out. I was just exhausted. Hopefully all should be good for me to join next weekend for these. I really should get the badges for Luna on these.

Quote:Thanks for posting those Marvel! I've used a few of them on some of my toons, I just wasn't sure which one was which, and didn't have the time to research it. Thanks! =)Watchman Badge= Elusive Mind Self: +Defense (Psionic), +Resistance (Psionic) You have gained the ability to deflect and protect yourself from mental invasions of all sorts. By focusing your mind using this technique, you gain strong defense against Psionic attacks and are moderately resistant to Psionic damage while this power is active. It lasts for 60 seconds per use. Recharge: Very Long
Steadfast Protection-This enhancement also provides a 3.0% defense bonus to all attacks.
Impervious Skin-This enhancement reduces the duration of status effects on you by 7.5%. Up to five of these enhancements can be slotted (in different powers) to provide a total reduction of status effect duration of up to 37.5%.
Impervium Armor-This enhancement provides a 3.0% bonus to Psionic Resistance.
Aegis-This enhancement provides a 3.0% bonus to Psionic Resistance and a 20.0% bonus to Status Resistance (Hold, Immobilize, Stun, Sleep, Confuse, and Terrorize). These function as set bonuses and are always on, even if in a toggle that is turned off.
Maybe some of this will help :-) -
Quote:I'm a slacker when it comes to slotting, but isn't there a proc out there that lets you slot to improve mez resistance?
I need to find out what badge I got which gave my other main In-something-able Mind, a click mez resist to psionic. Man, I need any kind of mez resists I can get. I can hyperphase if it's just damage I'm getting, but mezzes take me out. I could always carry a bucket of break-free's.
(and that's my off topic morning ramble of the day) -
Sounds good to me. Just remember some of us haven't bothered with trying the beta out, so we'll need to learn as we go on the who, what, when, where and why of the new events =) But usually for people who are interested in badging it, we're a good crew to pay attention and listen to instruction.
-
Quote:Yeah, cause I'm going to be on my Ill/Kin, so add even more pets to the mixtureI'd like to get in on this.
I'm planning on taking Saltier, my lvl 46 fire/ice Blaster.
I'm really digging Saltier now that I have 1.3 seconds short of perma-hasten. (I had to respec into the concealment pool to get enough powers for 5xLotG7.5s, and those who witnessed my massive goofiness on Sunday with Bonfire, will be glad to know I don't have it anymore.)
Edit: removed possibility of my scrapper. Too many pets. But hey, Speed Boost, so even better chances of you having perma-hasten
-
Depending on day and time I'd be interested. I've not done any of the new Trials, so it'll all be a learning experience for me. @Luna de Nocturne

Thank you to everyone that joined us last night! We had a couple of people not show up, but we also had a couple of extra's from the chat channel, so we was able to run 3 full teams! Yay!
My team was:
1. Luna de Nocturne: DB/Regen Scrapper
2. Cold Satisfaction: Ice/Dark Corr
3. King Sac: Energy/Energy Blaster
4. Torrtuga: Fire/WP Brute
5. Miss Heavenly: Grav/Bubble Controller (I think)
6. Motorpsycho Nitemare: Psi/MM Blaster
7. U.S. Customs Agent: Invuln/SS Tank (I think)
8. Marsil Oberson: Fire/Rad Controller
We finished in 1:12:19 with 27 deaths. Most of those occurred in the final mission. I tried to break Romy, but I was not successful =(. I think I got too close to the platform before it triggered the cut scene. So we had a bit of a slog taking down Romy. The nictus and ambushes took down a lot of our squishies.
Thanks for joining everyone! Next week's event will be a return to the Patron Arcs we've started for part 3 of them. -

Quote:When we go to "break" Romy like MB did last night, whoever is near the platform can sometimes be viewed. It depends on how close they are to the platform when the cut scene starts =) I've often seen Teal Tabby picketing near the platform. Last night when I went to break Romy on Captain Powers team, my character was viewable floating in mid air near the mountain. You couldn't really tell it was her other than a blueish floating spot =)Had a blast on the runs. Got some great drops and quite a few shards.
Maybe I've just never noticed, but I don't recall ever seeing a teammate in a cut scene.
Well there on the steps in the background behind Rom when he says "by the dark gods" was Teal Tabby and two other teammates on the hill.
A glitch, a trick or normal?
I tried to a screenshot but hit the wrong key -
Quote:Yeah that was a cut/paste error from last Mondays Ice Mistral run. I've been lazy in my postingHmm.. that might have been a copy/paste error of some sort (maybe left over from the Numina thread?).
The character I'm leading with is currently lvl 44, so my team will have access to all powers (except Alpha), unless I give the Star to somebody else on the team.
You should have at least a couple of 50's on your team MB, so if you trust one of them enough, you might want to have them take the star so they can get shard drops from the TF. I'm switching off to Luna for this run because my Monday night character is a 46.5 so I feel comfortable with where she is for next week's event (level 45+). I think Myrdinn's toon is already a 50, so his team will be set for that as well. -
REMINDER: This is TONIGHT! I've switched off to my main character for this because I want the shards. If any of the regulars are switching off, please let me know. We'll be re-running this in May on the Monday night runs in case you are worried about getting the badge on your Monday night characters.

Imperious Task Force -
I was just informed that one of my SG mates wants to join as well. @Mane is his global. He's the husband of @Miss Heavenly. Not sure what he's bringing. Assume a scrapper or tank. He's not familiar w/ the TF, so he should not be the main tank.
-
Mr E, Please sign up my husband on Kromlech: WP/Mace Tank. There's a slight chance he might back out or not make it, but he seems to want to come along, as of right now.
Edit: And please stick him on the same team as me. I like to keep an eye on him =P -
Quote:Scroll up to around post #6 in this thread for a description of breaking Romy. Basically we trick the game into breaking his pets (the nictus) off of him so that they do not bug us while we fight him. He then kills them himself each time he rezzes.OK, what do we mean by "break Romulus?"
So...people aren't killing the heal nictus first anymore? I've only run it twice this week and we didn't either time. But on one we were 8 FRads, and hell, I'm not sure what we did but it all died.
Edit: I finished my second build on Trixi Chalk, so I can be put down as in, or just as a eager alt.
And as you can see above, there is much debate about which way is better or what not. There's not really a better way one way or the other in my opinion, it just depends on the team makeup and the players. Just the way some of us tend to do it, and E was mentioning it so that the team will know what to expect. =) -
I'm in. Assuming we are running this twice, I'll bring Golden Jade: Claw/WP Scrapper and Lady Nocturne: Fortunata to the runs. If we need debuffs I can switch off to a frad. Before things get nutty, I'll say that I don't feel comfortable leading a "Master of" team, so you'll need to look for another leader if we end up with more than one team.

Quote:I think he was hinting more that he was off this weekend and Monday, and he was up for more than one run.... and he was seeing if you was running it more than once Sunday night.Well, since the title of the event is called.....
Super Strike Sundays
I'm pretty sure it's going to be held on Sunday every week.
No offense, but you continue to question how I handle the event and you keep making suggestions on how I proceed to run the event, if you don't like the way I do it, you are welcome to create a different event, The Weekly Strike Target is not exclusive to Sunday, it can be run all week long. So forgive me if I don't honor your personal holiday. -
Quote:Ahhhh, you shoulda said something about wanting to watch it. I didn't know. I just didn't want the whole team rushing the platform while I was trying to break Romy. =)I enjoyed our run with Luna, I got to see the different mechanics of the run a little closer up (although she wouldn't let me watch.....=P......wow, that didn't come out right.) So I could see how the Mo run will work on Sat.
I've run this TF the most out of all, and it is always my favorite, although some of the other TF's have a better story or game mechanics, this one is always the most fun for me.
Thanks for the fun run E and Luna!!!!
Thanks to: Captain Power, Ex Iferis, Sevenpenny, Caliburst, Bluman, Storm Claud, and Psilox for a great team. I didn't write down the specifics, but I think we finished in 1:36 with around 42 deaths.
The way I ran it is about how we run it on an MO attempt CP:
Mission 1: Stick together, let the tank/brute grab aggro, free the chics. Once outside, fly straight up, let the brute/tank grab aggro, clear the side of the platform closest too us. Don't go past the center portion, otherwise it tends to aggro the novas and dwarfs. Free the yappy priestess, exit as soon as you can.
Mission 2: Stick together, take down the cyst crystals LAST. Watch out for pets exploding the crystals too soon. Watch that squishies stay away from the crystals. Grab the ambushes before moving on.
Mission 3: This one is really up to the team leader how they want to run it. I've been on teams with E where we've run it several different ways. I'm not sure which method he's going to use on the Mo. What I did last night was have everyone fly to the computer first in an attempt to stop ambushes chasing us around the map. On an MO attempt, we stop and take down the robots at each wave. Since last night was not an MO, and I like chaos I had us push thru. I've seen the computer get taken down many time without bothering to fight the robots. We were just a little too low damage for that. Depending on what kind of heals and buffs we have, we sometimes stand up near the computer (like last night). But sometimes the squishies stay back to the side while fighting. Again, just listen to what E has to say on how it wants to run it. Then I had the AV's pulled down to us, and we took them down. I then had us go back to the bridge. This is probably where E will have us fight the Generals at.
Mission 4: Again, it's open to how Eman wants us to fight it. Usually we clear the first bridge like we did last night. Then someone will go and attempt to break Romy before someone else aggros him too soon. We usually do it early in the mission just in case. Then the team either fights Romy and clears rooftops, or they clear the bridge up to the left to the platform (what we did last night) and then takes down Romy. I like that method because it avoids the laggy rooftops. It's slower, but more Bosses and EB's for shard drops, and less extreme lag.
Now this is my understanding on how to break Romy. Again, you should probably have MB instruct you further, cause he is the king of it. I've only attempted it 3 times and so far I've been successful each time. But I always doubt myself when I try it =P
One person goes to the hill in front of Romy. As soon as they are close enough, the cut scene triggers. Once the cut scene ends, that person goes up to Romy, and whaps him with a single target attack and then backs off. Avoid taunts and AoE attacks. Basically this breaks his Nictus from following him around. Now you have to be careful when you go to attack him again that you pull him down from the stairs with a single target attack. I've seen the nictus kind of get reattached to him when people have used taunts and AoE attacks to pull him. If he is broken, his pets will stay on the stairs. Be careful to keep Romy in line of site of his pets when he is defeated. That way he can use them to Rez. If he is out of line of site of them, you'll have to take the pets down yourself, and that can suck! Last night Romy disappeared for a good half minute after the cut scene and I got a little worried that it didn't work right. But he was broken when we finally got back to him. When fighting Romy, get out of line of site of him when he rezzes if you are squishy. My favorite method is to back down the stairs. That way I can see him jump up in the air after he rezzes, but he doesn't stun me.
Hope that helps CP =) -
-
:Smirk: Yeah I saw that after I posted my comment lol. I'm not confident enough to lead an Master of Team for this, but I do guarantee lots of death and mayhem! =) And hopefully shards!
-
I'm assuming with the interest in this TF in general, that I'll be leading the second team tomorrow night. Both toons I'm parking in the zone will be 50's who can lead.
Either ArtemisMoon: Archery/MM Blaster or Project Trinity: Earth/Rad Controller
And as a general warning, if you want a speed run, make sure you ask E to not put you on my team, cause I'm running it the same way I always do! Fight through to the objectives -
Thanks to everyone that joined last night! I'm sorry we had a bit of a delay in getting all 3 teams started. I was super tired and my brain was not up to the usual task of getting everyone sorted out right. I think I mistook a semi-regular for an alternate account of Tormentor, and that just caused a big mess! =P We had 21 people running across 3 teams, so I think it was a great success!
My team was:
1. Soothesayer Talona: Mind/Thorns Dom
2. Cold Satisfaction: Ice/Dark Corr
3. Super Love: Brute
4. Torrtuga: Fire/WP Brute
5. Double Shot: DP/Fire Blaster
6. Xort: PB
We finished in 1:26:18 with 18 deaths.
Next week's event will be an ITF, so make sure your toon can get into Cimerora ahead of time! We'll be re-running the ITF in May just as an FYI.
Thanks for joining everyone!
