Me, I'm no good at organizing events in CoX (big thanks Luna, Mr E, Captain Power, Megpie, and Kotchie), but I figure we need to talk about when a good trial raid time would be good for all of us.
Tuesday evening? Earlier Saturday (and I mean a good two an a half hours prior to E's runs)? Friday's lag purgatory, but it is open as well.

Note: in order to emerit gain, and the likelyhood that each trial run will be an hour or less, the two hour time frame set for this will eventually be for both trials (excepting possibly moBaf trial run nights... easy to get moBaf if you do it in two runs instead of one).

Thoughts/opinions? This is either for Mo attempts or just running the alts ad nauseam.
I'm all for having a semi-regular raid schedule once a week. As far as I'm concerned, let it be a chance for people to work on alts. The MO-runs can be scheduled at specific days and times.

I *think* Sunday nights are free in that list Myr. CP has cancelled his event, and I'm not sure of any others that are running that night.

I'm not organizing this beast, cause 1. I've never played either trial, and 2. I'm exhausted as can be with 2 full time jobs, and the 1 event I do setup a week. I'd rather not go completely off the deep end yet!

But from my understanding, times that might be open are: Sunday (afternoon or evening), Tuesday evening, Wed Evening EARLY (say 7 or 8pm Eastern), Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and EARLY evening (again say 7 or 8pm Eastern).

I'm good for any of those but Fridays. I would love to get started on this. I'm a little intimidated at this point where everyone has played it a zillion times and are experts at it.

Shooting for Early June. It was going to be the last week in May, but I might try to squeeze in a couple more little tidbits to this run =P

  8. Thank you to everyone who joined last night. I hope you start feeling better soon E! Yeah The Faathim TF can be a bit of a beast, but we had the smoothest run last night that I've ever had! I really wish Faathim would get a cell phone... or psychic bat signal... or something. And while we're at it, he's 20 feet fall... there has got to be some way for me to get his attention other than finding the randomly moving 1 inch of his tummy that I have to poke at for him to talk to me >.>

    The team was:
    1. Golden Jade: Claws/WP Scrapper
    2. Queen of Underworld: Fire/Thermal Corr
    3. Saltier: Fire/Ice Blaster
    4. Robin Rogue: Dark/Kin Corr
    5. Takeo: Cold/Something Defender
    6. Luchs: Claws/Something Stalker
    7. Sevenpenny: Katana/WP Scrapper
    8. Stranger Flame: Brute (picked up from the chat channel. Thanks for joining!)

We finished in 2:39:30 with 32 deaths.

The Judgement power you saw Saltier was Goldberg on Takeo using the Fire one. He said it took him about 4.5 runs on trials to get it. It definately helped! It was up often, and it helped us clear out the mobs much faster. I think as more people unlock the AoE powers, the pets, and the team buffs, that it'll become even faster to take down annoying TF's like Faathim =)

Luna will be in charge for tonight & I will run this TF again on the back-end of Heroic Wednesdays for Reformed Villains once we finish up the remainder of the events.

    Have fun tonight.
Hope you feel better E. And note this starts at 10PM tonight everyone. See you then!
  10. As I mentioned on Facebook, I'll be along. I've got a few toons that need some shard loving, so they'll be the ones I'll be bringing, in this order (depending on how many runs we do):

    Queen Fire Fae: Fire/Fire Blaster
    Midnight Gale: Ill/Storm Controller
    Azure Emp: Emp/Psi Defender

And no, I don't feel comfortable leading an MO team. Sorry! That's just not my specialty. I'm good at following directions on them, but not at dishing them out.
  11. I've not been in Praetoria on Freedom in awhile. The last time I was there, there was lots of teaming opportunities. But I agree, if you've not done the story arcs, they are very enjoyable =) and the levels fly by in Praetoria!
  12. Thank you to everyone that was able to join us last night. It took a little bit of a shuffle, but we was able to squeak out 2 teams of 6 for the night. Thank you to Goldberg for leading the second team in MB's absence. Thanks also to Megpie, Jack, Ex Iferis and King Sac for switching teams and/or toons to make the second team work out. I really appreciate it!

    The teams:
    1. Soothesayer Talona: Mind/Thorns Dom
    2. Myred: Elec/KM Tank
    3. Bleakest Death: Necro/Dark MM
    4. Torrtuga: Fire/WP Brute
    5. Double Shot: DP/Fire Blaster
    6. Ragypt: Fire/Storm Corr

    1. Whitner: Mind/Cold Controller
    2. Paragon: Dominator
    3. Megpie: Mastermind
    4. Super Love: Brute
    5. Crimson Soldier X: Soldier
    6. Jack: Rad Corr

My team finished at around 1:20, and I know Goldberg's team was done at least under an hour.

My team did okay until the final boss. The +1 we was set at made Lord Recluse a bit too nasty for our mostly squishy team.

Next Monday will be an ITF again. I'm trying hard to get all the lowbies yanked up to 50 before we hit the "Big" final Task forces (Baraccuda, Lady Grey, Lord Recluse) so that you all can get the special shards at the end. So until then, I'll be tweaking the order of events trying to get us all up to 50. A few of you all that have missed a lot might want to run some TF's outside of Monday nights.

    Thanks for joining everyone!

Yep, push everything from mid-March on out back a week thanks to the ITF we ran. This week's event is going to be the Third Hero Respec (44+) followed by a possible ITF if enough people are up for it. This was confirmed by Mr E last night.

If the upper level TF's are led by a 50 you can get shards to drop. The more eb's and av's in the TF, the more likely you are to get shards. In *my* personal experience, ITF's, Dr. Kahn's and Lady Grey's are pretty good for shard drops if you clear the bigger mobs. I'm sure some of the others will come in here and offer their more biased opinions shortly.
  21. Thank you to everyone that came out to join us last night! As Turg mentioned, he was unable to make it (Get some sleep!), but we did end up running with 2 mostly full teams!

    My team was:
    1. Soothesayer Talona: Mind/Thorns Dom
    2. Bleakest Death: Necro/Dark MM
    3. Torrtuga: Fire/WP Brute
    4. Double Shot: DP/Fire Blaster
    5. Motorpsycho Nitemare: Psi/MM Blaster
    6. Myred: Elec/KM Tank
    7. Ragypt: Fire/Storm Corr
    8. Super Love: Brute

We finished around 1 and a half hours with a lot of deaths. We did Scirocco's third arc "The Spirit City of Hequat". I LOVE the unique map in there with the Goddess Wall.

Once I realized we had a 50 on the team with the missions, we ran Mydinn's version of the arc. Thanks to that he got an incarnate shard, and I got a Purple recipe I needed for my blaster (Squee!)

Next Monday will be the 4th part of the patron arcs. My team will finish up Scirocco, and MB's team will finish up Ghost Widow. After that we move onto the final respec, and all of the upper level task and strike forces.

Thanks for joining everyone. See you all next week!

    I'm not old....

I'm not sure what times of the day you are looking to play, but I agree with Marvel, check out the forums here for events you might be interested in, and if your schedule allows, get involved!

It's my opinion that anyone who is willing to take the time to setup events on the forums is also willing to help new or returning players get used to the game. It's the Pick up groups (PUGS) that are usually full of teenagers and early 20-somethings are all into the min/max OMG you don't know how to play n00b crap.

    Have fun and welcome back!

    Luna

Oh, and I forgot to mention, Paragon Wiki is full of great stuff to read up on if you have any specific questions on how things work in the game now:

Well, I've got some shards to get. I'm tempted to go to Mender Ram with Saltier, my new 50 blaster, since Spiritual and Cardiac make so much sense to her. Plus she's really fun. And she has around 1k vmerits, which I'm thinking might be one of the easiest way to get shards.

And, geez, if i knew that vmerits were good for real stuff, I wouldn't have picked up that giant robot.

    Thanks guys, you're great.
Yeah some of my toons it is OBVIOUS what path I need to take them down. But on others, none of it really fits. But I need something, so I pick the one that at least gives me some bonuses. My main toon Luna is that way. She's already pretty well balanced thanks to the sets I've slotted in her. Thus she's been kind of neglected in getting slotted so far.

But other toons that the alpha abilities will help, they have been awesome to work on. So I think you should take Saltier to Mender Ram as well. Plus on TF's or WST's, if the team is too heavy on one type of AT, you can switch to another and still get shards on them.

Oh, don't worry about spending Vmerits on the robots. You'll want those for the Apex and Tin Mage TF's...... trust me! I think I went through 4 of those in one night on my rad.

    =)
  24. REMINDER! This is Tonight! Probably just run 2 teams since we've not had a lot of interest for the story arcs. If you're an auto sign up, and not able to make it, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Obviously Incarnates are much more powerful than I thought, too.
Well for the Tin Mage and Apex TF's people who don't have something slotted in their alpha slot are actually penalized by the game. Normally these TF's are level 50(or 50+) characters fighting against level 54 enemies. But if you do not have something in your alpha slot, you'll actually be fighting at the equivalent of level 46 going against level 54 enemies (including a ton of EB's and AV's). I've been on a few of these with people who were not slotted, and usually we've not been able to finish the TF because basically that person can hit nothing and dies very quickly and very often.

Here's some info on the wiki on how to get it slotted:

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Alpha_Slot

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Alpha_Slot_Abilities

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Incarnate_Component

So basically decide what boost you want to work on. What area does your toon need more help in? Sometimes the tier 1 ability might not be what you want, but later up the tree might be something you do need. So take the time to look at your tree's and see what area you would like some more help in. Then look and see what pieces it says it needs. Then look at that last link I posted and see where those pieces come from.

You can also get "Generic" Incarnate Shards to convert into specific parts if there is an event you don't want to do, but you need the part for. I've done this a few times for the Cathedral of Pain piece. A great way to get generic Incarnate Shards is Rikti Mothership Raids.

Once you create your Alpha Slot ability, make sure to Equip it. I've seen a few people who have made them, but not equipped them. I hope this helps. If not just let us know =)
