I was thinking the same thing.

The tension is absolutely explosive right now. Merle is still missing, Glenn is in serious trouble, Jim's tied to a tree and no-one's close enough to save him if he's attacked... and my bladder is nagging me! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!
  2. Norman Reedus has impressed me. Totally unprepared for how well he's carrying his role in this series. Bravo, Scud. Bravo.

    Poor Jim.

And Merle... man, I can't wait to see what happens with him next.

    Back on!
  3. Here we go!

    I has a happy.
  4. 25 minutes!

    Go potty now! Go! Hurry!
  5. Encore of episode three is showing RIGHT NOW. That means you have 55 minutes to settle in for the beginning of episode four!

Great things inspire great scrutiny, and even the slightest of imperfections will glare brighter than all the stars in the universe when the eye seeks them out. Those flaws emphasize what makes those things great, though, just as a diamond gleams and sparkles due to the imperceptible cracks, facets and inclusions buried within it.

And The Walking Dead is, truly, great.
  10. WARNING! WARNING!

The zombie apocalypse will resume in 22 hours! Stock up and dig in now!

I used to do Team Knockback nights with some other Liberty players. Captain Knockback would have fit in perfectly.

  13. Huh. I'm surprised to say that my judgment of Laurie may have been premature. Her complete rejection of Shane convinced me that she really had been lied to and used. I get the feeling that the marital problems with Rick will continue, and be compounded by Laurie's guilt, but I despise her less now that I don't believe she knowingly abandoned her husband.

Shane... on the one hand, I want to believe he's good, honest and truly trying to help as many people as he can, because he does seem to care about most of the survivors... but on the other hand, he lied to Laurie and Carl, he's set himself up as god and king of his own little nation and attacking Ed may have been nothing more than a way for him to work off his aggression over the confrontation with Laurie. There's going to be a reckoning between him and Rick at some point, but I could be convinced that he'll come through in the end, depending on his future actions.

Merle... ugh! Why didn't he cut through the bolt on the pipe, or the handcuffs? He snapped, I'm sure of it. He'll be back in the next episode, completely bonkers. Good setting for a lot of tension and drama with his brother, Daryl.

And now we have a second party of survivors to contend with. There had to be some out there, somewhere, but right in the middle of the city, not even very far from the department store... this will be interesting.

Only three episodes left... waiting for the second season to start is going to be hell. I suppose I'll pass the time by going through my bug-out bag and camping gear again, seeing what else I can pack or need to buy. Still need to figure out how to mount those 5L jerry cans to my moped... *twitch*
  14. Scud! Merle's brother is Scud! I knew I remembered the face and voice from somewhere!
  15. There's your archer, Swellguy! Looks like a 170-200lb draw.
  16. Wondering if there's redemption in Merle's future. The sheer grotesqueness of his personality is so overwhelming, it would make it that much more satisfying if he were to turn around and become a decent human being.

Beautiful reunion. But now I hate Shane and Laurie even more, keep hoping that they'll both get devoured. Shane looked disappointed when Rick appeared, and you could see the panic in Laurie's eyes as she tried to deny the reality of having to go back to her husband.

    On again, back to it!
  17. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand GO!

    SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
  18. TEN MINUTES! O_O

And the forum auto-correct anti-Caps Lock feature is annoying.
  19. Second episode is running, FORTY FIVE MINUTES TO EPISODE THREE!
  20. ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES!

AMC is showing the first two episodes again, right now. Rick, Morgan and Duane just left the PD (episode one).

Looks magnificent on my new 22" ViewSonic VX2250-wm LED LCD.
  21. THREE HOUR MARK!

Get your axes and canned food in position, boil up some water (coffee- or tea-flavored, as you prefer) and memorize the quickest route to the nearest commode!
  22. Just under six hours until the third episode begins! Wakey wakey!

It also makes sense that they would come to such a realization faster if they couldn't land a hit on their attacker versus if they were actually hitting them.

It's better that they try and run than be mindless sheep, isn't it?

New arrivals to this thread: The complaints tendered here are not about enemies running away under normal conditions. The problem is abnormal fleeing behavior or triggers, such as enemies running away without being attacked by or attacking the player, enemies running away and not returning at all, or only returning several minutes after they've completely dropped aggro (the time it takes them to walk back from wherever they ran to), or enemies running away after a single hit or debuff.

We're cool with "Crap, I missed nine times in a row" or "I've been attacking for twenty seconds and haven't hit yet, panic time". This is working as intended.

We're not cool with "Oh, player character in the room... cat's on fire, gtg" or "Hey, this debuff reminds me, my lunch is in another zone, bbl". This is NOT working as intended.

Tacking a disclaimer to the end of a statement doesn't automatically make that statement unassailable or unavailable to be addressed in a response. If you don't want a point to be rebutted, don't include that point. It's that simple. And that's what I was responding to, Sam, that point. Had I been addressing your post in general, or any other specific point contained therein, I would have quoted the relevant material and responded appropriately, in line and in context.
