  1. Yeah, some of my favorite powers for Khelds are the ones that don't require addition slotting. T__T
  2. All these views and no suggestions? It must not be too terrible.

    New PB

There are quite a few guides located in the aptly named Kheldian Guides topic. I suggest you read through them; they can give you a great starting look at powers, slotting suggestions, tactics, and even keybinds.
  4. I don't see the utility of taking Hurdle at 50 and skipping hasten entirely. Some people hate hasten but even so, I'd choose stealth over hurdle at 50. Or put hurdle instead of swift and still take stealth at 50.
  5. Circle of Thorns has both fire and ice damage. I don't know how often you'll be fighting those, though they seem to pop up fairly often for me, all the way to 50. Carnival of Shadows has those one chicks who breathe fire. Crey has members who do fire and who do ice damage. A few of the Tsoo have fire or ice powers.

I can't think of any more off the top of my head. CoT seems the hardest to avoid to me.

As for slots.. well I'm no build expert but here's a few thoughts. Quantum Flight? Way overslotted. It recharges in a minute naturally and while it eats endurance, I'm assuming you'd use it to run away and, once safe, could eat some inspirations or take a rest. I'd suggest taking those extra slots off and putting them in some attacks. I don't see any reason why Gleaming Blast should get more slots devoted to it than radiant or incandescent strike unless there's a specific set bonus in ranged single target you're going for that you can't get with a melee set.

Similarly, Restore Essence. Do you really need 3 slots there? It can take sets but the 3 bonuses are fairly weak. I haven't gotten high enough to try it (new to Khelds) so YMMV, but in mids it doesn't seem to enhance the heal any with enhancements in it, and doesn't take end mods to help with that. I'd try one slotting it with recharge and putting those two extra slots in either dwarf form or human attacks, depending on which you want to spend more time in. There are some excellent recharge bonuses when 5-slotting some attack sets, and recharge is very useful.

You might look at reform essence and glowing touch. Touch slotted with heal IOs, you heal basically 35% with glowing touch, but are you really going to be playing healer? If you're solo reform essence is going to be much more handy, able to heal yourself for more (if not as quick). If you're on a team, I'd hope you had a dedicated healer and you could just afford to throw out patch heals if you really wanted to. It's up to you, but if it were me I'd steal those slots from glowing touch to put on dwarf attack powers or even add to essence boost, reform essence, or any human attack power.

Also if you've gone 49 levels without gleaming bolt.. skip it. Photon seekers might be a good replacement. I'm not sure which does more dps, probably bolt.. your attacks should be fairly full without the need for bolt and seekers might help when you absolutely need to kill something quickly.

Just my thoughts. I'm new at this so take it with a handful of salt.
  6. I'm not a build expert, but I did have a question or two.

First, why do you have swift three slotted and yet none of your dwarf attacks slotted? Is there something I'm missing? iirc swift doesn't even take sets, so are you just hoping to throw in some flight speeds to speed up your flights? With two slots devoted to energy flight already I'm not sure I'd bother.

Is there any reason why build up is taken so late? It's such a useful power, particularly for quickly destroying voids/quantums in the early game.

If you want to drop restore essence or quantum, I'd probably suggest quantum. Both are only situationally useful but I just assume if you can play 49 levels without quantum's panic button, you might be able to keep playing without it afterwards?

    Going Rogue?

I wouldn't be surprised if going rogue were limited by character level the same way a level pact is. Sure, some old players might be miffed they can't take their level 50's to the opposite side to do whatever, but maybe NC thinks they can sell some more character slots or even accounts to people who think they'd like to play a blueside brute or redside tank. If switching sides is a one time deal, similar to how EQ2 was originally (not sure if it's changed since launch) then they don't have to worry about the markets or what to do with inf switching nearly as much.

I think Flux Vector has a point.
  8. Hello!

This is my first kheldian ever, and I am very inexperienced when it comes to making builds or slotting sets. I was hoping that some of you build gurus could take a look and make any suggestions you feel would help the character. You can feel free to post any builds of your own that you think might help, too; especially where slotting is concerned I'm sure it would help!

She's just hit 25 and beyond a sewer team to 5 and a single AE mission, she's soloed all the way. I primarily solo but occasionally duo with a friend, hence glowing touch. I am not averse to groups doing missions but I'm not very fond of AE farms.

So far she's soloed very well! Endurance is her only real problem at this point. This build was made before I rolled her up, and I've left it intact for you to shred. I didn't realize her powers would be so slow in recovering. I'm also thinking of ripping those last two slots off Conserve Energy but I don't know where they should best be applied elsewhere.

    Thanks!

    Bad PUGS

All my bad PUGs experiences have been joining groups that do absolutely nothing. In fact, I'd say 5/6 of the AE teams I've joined were that way, but it's happened a lot with radio mission teams too, blueside.

Want to do blahblahblah? Sure. What I don't want to do? Be invited to a group who takes 45 minutes to pick an AE arc, or 45 minutes between radio missions as 3 people train, 2 run off to buy DOs or SOs, 1 wants to make the shiny new IO they just got after the last mission, and 1 is probably busy ERPing or something since they stand outside of the last mission door doing nothing, saying nothing, never going afk but never responding to tells or teamsay either.

I don't like to rush, I solo as many of my arcs as I can so I can pause and read npc speak, clues, etc. without a team blasting through things. But I play the game to play, and could be enjoying some solo missions or roleplaying with someone rather than standing around waiting for something to happen.
  10. SB needs a huge nerf. If it weren't so awesome sauce then people wouldn't whine about having it all the time. It's the Clarity of CoH.
