  1. I like the guide, and it may convince me to try a Sonic/Kin in either CoH or CoV. I'm surprised to see defense slots in Stealth, though - from my experience and reading, the defense buff is 2.5% and half that if you're attacking. If I'm doing the math correctly, that's an extra 1% defense from 2 SO's, or 1/2% if you're fighting back. I could see those slots being more useful as EndMod in Transference or in a patron power.

I tried to update my Joe Chott hero planner with the text you have above and it doesn't work anymore.

I get "typo" error messages when starting it up now.

Another possible problem - if you save the original file to make sure you don't permanently cause damage, move the original file to another folder instead of just renaming. The program will grab both "defender.txt" and "defender_orig.txt", creating all sorts of confusing double listings.

Not too mention... Influence is supposed to be prestige, not real money (I know not everybody will agree with this statement but I think that is the way the devs see it).
Then, ok, I understand you loose influence when you buy enhancement ( What, BlackLight bought a damage enhancer? Guess he is not that powerfull then if he need to relie on such gadgets...)
But I don't see how the bases fit there... Having a cool base would (arguably) grant you prestige instead of costing...
Not that advocate this option, but I would like at least basic bases to be at a fixed cost...

In a way, the value of influence should decrease over time. The hero who saved the world five years ago isn't as 'influential' as the hero who saved the world last week. This could be another way to make the 'rent' concept make sense - if your SG sits around doing nothing, you're no longer on the tips of Paragon's collective tongue, and the rent costs may eventually feel significant. On the other hand, if you're full of active high-level heroes, the rent's a nominal charge because you're gaining more influence every day. (That is, always on watch for evildoers.)
