Iv found that not to be the case.
Also judging from what has happened in other salvage theft cases, it seems just as many happen with people that have been in a sg a while.

No im afraid its you who couldnt be more wrong.

It happened to us too, and no one was more [censored] off than off than me about it.
However when you petition it, what i said is what you get told.
Of course you didnt give anyone permission to nick 800 bits of salvage, but the bottom line is still the same.
If they were of a rank to access base salvage,as far as this games rule go, you HAVE given them permission to take what they want.

There is also a glaring flaw in your keep salvage safe plan, it dont take long to earn enough prestige to get promoted, then nick your salvage.

Doing it like this at least gives you the chance to make so prestige out of would be theives before they try to rip you off and you will also find that people that are just joining to steal salvage will also quit the second they find out they cant steal (they like the easy targets and trusting sg's they feed off you)

There was a huge and very heated thread about this a while back.
And the bottom line is you gave them permission to take it, when you set the SG permissions for removing items from base storage.

I think it's one of the arcane control providers, maybe the equivalent of a tech super computer.

As it goes looking again its on the cieling so its probably the Arcane version of the Autonomous Expert System.
