    "Are you a god?"

God are extra-dimensional being with awesome powers that can become worshipped by earthlings at some point of time. A few of my characters derive some or all powers from creatures like this. Being able to gain more powers from these beings and as such becoming incarnates if they wheren't one already.

    - Nightseye is the incarnate/avatar of the Egyptean cat-goddess Bast. She was always meant to be an incarnate. So that is a no brainer.

    - Elizabeth Bathory maybe a vampire... but she made deals for power with the Dark Lords the N'Garai. Being Lovecraftian here. Demon gods like that can bestow more powers in time to their channel/focus on this plane of reality. Making Elizabeth somesort of incarnate.

    - Desert Princess is a living prison for an all-powerful H'Djinn. Evil as it is it is hard to control and she is still learning more and more control over his powers. It is a no-bariner that she will gain even more control then she would have thought possible. Becoming like an incarnate of the H'Djinn itself.

These are only three I can explain with ease. Ofcourse i could make my Werewolf an incarnate of the norse wolfgod Fenrir in time. etc... but these three are my most important toons and easiest to explain an incarnate status.
  2. And that can be solved by Tenebrous/Soul Tentacles... I love writing these magic battles...
  3. E4, The Abandoned Insidium Plant

The group of undead soldiers and werewolves finally reached the Insidium Plant. Jack tried to make out if it was used for viral storage. He had experience from working in the Sharkhead mines after all. The group was stumbling and any stealth they might have had in the beginning was long gone.

“Ok maggots-for-brains and pack… This is a possible place. I want this thing burned to the ground and the leftovers destroyed! Find a good place to start.”, he howled… then started up his flamethrower and nodded to the zombie knight carrying the other one to do the same.

The few knights with guns got primed to guard them during the attack…

D4, Just inside The Old Insidium Mine

Suddenly Vladimir got run through by a huge katana blade! The shock made the ancient dark sorcerer drop to the floor… his instincts clearly reacting more then his mind as his body was dead already and would get up from a wound like this.

Elizabeth looked up to what she was facing… trusting her Shadow Fall to hide her. In the dark it was like the wall was moving but with two blades flashing at the far ends. “Dark lords!”, Elizabeth uttered… “A Golem!?” Then she got hit by the side of its arm and dropped backwards… painfully realising that her ability to hide in the shadows wasn’t working on this thing. “Dimitri… keep it occupied!”, she yelled to the knights who drew their swords and blasted the thing with dark energy.

The vampire queen rose from the floor by lifting her body in the air and floated to Vladimir. “Get up fool! This body can’t die that easily.”, she looked at how the three minions where being knocked around by the huge creature without doing any damage at all. “We need to come up with a way to destroy that thing.”

“I am sorry mistress…”, the dead voice from the lich stumbled out. “Yes, we cannot pass it!”

The wraith Elizabeth had summoned to be of use spying was suddenly appearing through the front of the creature. Its Impervium plating not able to stop that what was intangible. “Mooooooore liiiiiiiviinnggg oooones aheeeead…”, It moaned.

She moved her long dark hair to the side and her eyes showed a determined expression… “Then we let the N’Garai take it.” She put her hand on her shoulder-wound which was healing but was still bloody and threw some of the blood on the floor beneath the creature. Then started to chant in a long dead language… her amulet oozed black energies that went to her hands and from there to the blood on the floor. Vladimir realised what she was doing and joined in…

It became colder in the room… and cracks appeared in the floor and walls. Then holes appeared in the cracks, an eerie red light coming out of them. Out of the cracks tentacles appeared who grabbed the armoured legs of the mountain-like creature. The creature fought back which resulted in the three minions being thrown with force against the two knights who fell back and crashed against the wall of the mine.

The cracks became wither… and the room filled with the light coming from them… The tentacles grew bigger and grabbed the top of the being. It span on the spot without moving its legs and started shooting its twin chain-guns mounted on its back. Targeting the cracks and tentacles… A loud inhuman scream came from them and the tentacles started to pull with more force. Slowly the huge almost indestructible creature was being pulled down, down into the dimension of the N’Garai. The demon lords that gave Elizabeth a lot of her dark powers.

The whole process only took about ten minutes, but the battle seemed taking much longer. All the time Elizabeth and Vladimir maintained the spell... only to change the incantation to a binding spell the moment the top of the creature had disappeared inside the cracks. Slowly the cracks closed! And then there was nothing left aside of some rocks spew up where the cracks had been.

Elizabeth her hair was dropped partly over her face… her expression showed exhaustion. More then she would like to reveal. But the way was free.

Ok.. wanted to post... Ok with obliterating this 'the Lance'... But I cannot find where it is precisely, how it looks like and what it can do. I need info on that before Liz runs into it.

Can someone help me out here?
  5. Happy Birthday!!!

  7. Without reading much of the discussion here I want to point out to the title...

Are bases content? A theoretical excercise.

Content, in my opinion, is things to do within the game that can keep you busy for hours. Stuff to do that makes you keep your account/sub active.

For all basebuilders this is the case here. I spend more time in the base editor then I have done in taskforces. So to me bases ARE content!

As you automatically make links from names you linked from... and the names should be written precisely how they are. That would go a bit strange. I would have to make a alternative link for every page I use with a special character. Of course I can do that.. but I cannot make sure everyone in the wiki does that for my pages.

Or that everyone making a new page with a character like this will do that.

Names with special characters should be as easy wiki-able as any [[word]] within a text. Without discrimination. I am not being difficult here FFM.

That didn't work either... I left it in the mids of testing... But I got it working again.. Strange though. Oh well....

  12. Missed some... rp went fast last weekend. Edited the last line away... she now goes in with zombie posse in shadow fall. Someone with strong senses must be able to see her.

    C5, Road to the Mine/Plant

The road here is for the most part undamaged, the jungle is below with a steep cliff face leading down, to the south the road bends around the mountain, to the south east it might be possible to see a large metal and concrete building complex (E4) through the ash that falls like hot flakes of snow.
Jack and Paul saw it first. Their wolf eyes helped to pierce the ash the best. That structure looked like a possible storage. A little to the left was also something... and there was movement. But it was hard to see what kind.

He looked back to the zombies following him. Their damaged leatherlike skin was covered with ash... the only thing very visible was the enchanted glow coming from their eyes. Like blood-red lights in the dark. The rest of the pack didn't seem very happy. Paul was still out of balance missing his arm. The wound was fully closed though. All of them tried to get ridd of the ash from their furr... and the occasional irritated growl was heard.

"I think to the left is subterrenean... let us try the plant first. This way! And watch out for the cliff!", he ordered. No sound was heard but he knew they had understood. (Passing D5)

    Quote:
D5, just beyond the entrance of the mine and shaft down.

The elevator headed downwards, downwards and even further down, rock shaft turning to re-enforced grey metal. Then the elevator moves down into a wide open area, it glows a blood red, with a series of clear tubes pulsing with a red glowing liquid flowing around the room. Large cylinders made of a dark metal and glass like substance contain people, well parts of people, the figures within missing their arms and legs.

A poster on the wall reads “Now entering Viral Lab Alpha. Please wear protective clothing. Those found without proper clothing will be staked through the heart.”
Elizabeth was thinking about where to search next. This was the first structure she passed... a structure that could hold a lab or a lair. The wind carried the ash their way... She blew some away and shook her hair to get it out. This was not something she liked. And she had to start somewhere. The signs at the entrance showed others where probably already in. So she re-formed her shadow fall and went in. Urging Vladimir to take point with the knights as last to cover their backs.
  14. Quote:
    Across the island.

The earth roars and shudders, if people are looking towards the mountain they will see the top of the mountain… explode!

Moments later hot ashes will begin to fall on every outdoor location, as mount Inconvenient begins to belch flames and molten rock.
D5, Three km above the mine entrance

About three kilometer above the mines Elizabeth heard the sound of earth rumbling... the airpressure dropped and the and her servants did so too... for about 200 meters before she could stabilize the spell again. Then she saw the cause... The top of the mountain trembled and exploded!

Stones came their way in high speed and one hit the blood countess in the shoulder... dislocating it. She gave a soft scream and Vladimir uttered a shocked "Mistress!?"

"Don't worry about me! Use a dark torrent to repel whatever is still coming... NOW!", she yelled while she used her strenghth to pull her shoulder back in line. She knew her regenerative ability would take care of it... but that didn't take away the bloody pain.

Vladimir his dark spells kept the rest reasonably safe although not in one piece. One of teh zombie minions was scattered with small stones in his back and a knight had heavy burned sides. But these servants where dead already... a small inconvinience like this was not stopping them. Still this was not the place to stay.

There was a high point close to the entrance of the mine that the lava would never be able to get to. "We land there... That looks like an entrance. I want that secured!"

Elizabeth ordered her knights to cut down some trees and have her minions to build a wooden wall with it. Just in case... This would for now keep the entrance to the mines safe.

    Quote:
B6, the main road to the plant

Rocks would fall, rocks and burning chunks of wood and goblets of melted stone as the mountain above the road exploded, looking towards B6 in a matter of minutes you'd see a river of molten rock would start to ooze its way across the road. Detonating several road side IEDs.
The earth trembled and the wolves fell that there was something wrong.. seconds before the erruption... "No!, Jack screamed... "Paul, Luke, Jason! Get to high ground.. follow the road but stay...", his voice cut off in the explosion and stone and fire landed around them... Big rocks too.

One of the knights yelled "Fire!", in his rusted dead voice. The wolves looked up and saw the stream coming. "Get the platoon up on those rocks... fast!", Jack ordered. "That is coming our way!"

The zombies formed a protective line for the wolves.. small stones and wood didn't harm them... although some lost some skin... and one even lost a left hand when a big part of melted roch hit it in full. Then the real danger unfolded as the stream of lava activated all the hidden claymores. Explosions followed and the zombies holding back the scrapnel where torn and ripped. Crawling and jumping, in which the wolves used some of the zombies to get on top, the platoon moved from rock to rock...

Then a bit of luck came their way... the rock they where standing on moved down the road on the lava stream closer to their destination and came to a standstill against the trees (C5).

  17. A discussion place for my main arc. As some asked for in my comments. This is especially needed as I (as European player) cannot send tells to globals from the NA side of this game...

    Rise of the Blood Countess

This arc is meant as horror and definatly 16+. You will encounter a lot of bloody things. It is long... and it has some special challenges. Don't be afraid though. They can be overcome. But you cannot head in fists first in some of the situations.

I did however nerved a lot! Why? Because people kept dying and didnt like that much. The arc has been remade so many times since the beta of Architect that it should be done by now. But it never seems so.

Send me idea's or errors I missed. And maybe I get it from the 4-star rank up to 5-star one day.
  18. The Island

    Quote:
There would be a brief moment of darkness over the island as if a cloud had just passed in front of the sun. The more mystically aware characters might feel an ancient presence has passed through the area. The undead might feel a sense that something ‘rejects’ them.

The whole event just lasts a half second, long enough to be noticeable.
Three kilometer above Elizabeth stopped in her tracks. Vladimir looked worried and the rest of her 'servants' had a scared look on their usually emotion-free faces. Elizabeth didn't like what she felt in what to her seems like an eternity. It was like she was watched... and judged at the same time. And it was not something she recognised.

Then it suddenly went away... the feeling and the darkness. Was it something Tomb arranged? She needed answers and the little girl might have them. Her eyes followed the jungle and looked over the island. There where lights in the ghost-town on the far edge... and some commotion on a hill. But where to go to find the lil' bratt!?

    B5, Jungle border

The commotion was great... Jack tried to organise the whole thing. But some of the zombie platoon where only staring up to the darkness that was passing.

    Quote:
As each of the crystal spiders are broken, they do so with splashes of potent acid.
The more active ones had damaged skin... even the older ones who's skin was almost as hard as dried leather. Jack undid his tank fast to check for damages... But his seemed fine. They had to be careful as there where only two flamethrowers.

    B6, Following the Main Road

    Quote:
More conventional traps litter the way south, claymores, spike traps, bear traps and falling spiked logs, treated with moss and water to mask their smells.
Quickly they ran round the jungle border more inland... But maybe a bit too quick as the wolf senses missed a wooden trap shooting spikes. Paul cursed... wood... that was something they couldn't smell out. Not as easy at least as the explosives in the claymores they passed. The first wolf was hit in his chest hard... several deep wounds. If he was a vampire he would be dead by now. Instead Jack descided to hold up here for another hour. The wolf his regenerative ability would kick in and he would be out of immediate danger then.

The road looked like a way to travel faster. but that would have too many traps on them. Following it a few meters next to it would be way smarter. So that is what they did... It would end up at the plant anyway according to ancient old signs. And that was the most likely place for a viral storage. The mountain domed up over the undead platoon.

Scurrying quickly the crystal spiders scatter, heading towards the Courts party in a multi-vectored path.
    B5, Jungle Border

Suddenly Jack stopped... and so did his fellow pack members. "Something is wrong...", he growled. And a slow nod from the pack was his ensurance that he sensed it right. "Incoming!!! MOVE, you useless bags of meat!"

But it was too late when the two first spiders reached the end of the row... shots where fired and crystal shards scattered. The zombies who shot where completely overpowered though. Some shots removed some spiders legs... but they where both in p[eaces. Their arms still where attacking and firing... but without eyes their aim was terrible.

Seeing the other two spiders coming in from the flanks made the werewolves go wild. Jack saw the dissolving effect on the zombies and screamed... "Don't get to close to them!" That was not going to work on the first and most eager one. Paul was his name. Young and willing to proove his worth to the pack he jumped a spider with full force ripping it apart. But being so close he got caught with his left arm in the jaws and a howl of pain was heard. "Take them down all.. now!", Jack ordered. For a second he looked at the sky from where they came from and thought he saw a black patch with the countess in the middle. But it was gone fast. A broken off crystalline leg hit him and he remembered that he was in the middle of a fight.

The high pitched squeeee of the spiders still sounded in the air when the battle was over and two almost dissolved zombies and a young werewolf without an arm where left. His regenerative ability had closed the wound fine... but that was all. A grim howl of pain and a determined look was seen on his face. One of the knights picked up the gun and ammo left on the floor. His dead eyes looked at it and re-loaded the thing.

"The plant is around the jungle part... here to the right. Follow me and be careful", Jack said while a few acid marks in his fur where regenerating.
  21. B4, Jungle Border

Jack gave a short gnarl back to Lucard... "Fancy coat and a smart mouth!", he said in a growling voice. "I don't have flyers in this zombie platoon."

But he had to agree that the refinery would be the best place to find large quantities of viral infected blood. Or whatever the stuff could cling too. So he signaled the platoon under his control... Three young werewolves... then zombies, some slightly damaged, including the one with the flame thrower he had walk in the middle. The few with the guns took the end of the line. Then walked south, their senses scanning whatever was in front of them.

    Cap Au Diable, Castle Bathory

Elizabeth and her undead servants stapped through the portal... a fast glance over the throne hall before the darkness consumed her. To be replaced with the sandy beach of the Jungle border. Not that anyone could see her as her shadow fall was hiding the group perfectly to all aside the most sharp senses.

She saw Jack and the cleaners platoon leave just behind a bunch of trees. The werewolf knew his task, it was better for her to remain unseen for now. So she lifted het servants aided by Vladimirs magic and followed the spectre who was checking if the sky was safe in front of her.
  22. B4, Jungle Border

Jack also noticed the zombies being pulled away but couldn't care less. They where after all just meat. Then he remembered the countess her final words... and he jumped after one at lightning speed. Only to grab his flame thrower and rip it of the soldiers back before he disappeared between the now burning trees.

He strapped the tank on his back and gave a quick howl to the zombie knight carrying the other one. A quick burst of two flaming cones set the border alight.

Jack growled and jumped to Lucard... "Vampire, my senses say that that jungle is one giant death trap... Unless you are sure there are viral containers hidden inside I advice to go around it!" In the corner of his eyes he noticed one of the Abominations falling in a puddle and slowly but silently dissolving. And many where damaged. Not that that would stop them though.

    Cap Au Diable, Castle Bathory

Back in Castle Bathory Elizabeth growled at the sight.... "Fools, of course get around it! For now... Lucard send flyers over the woods to check for containers. I will try and get replacements."

With that remark she went down the dungeons... Vladimir folowing her. To re-appear twenty minutes later with several zombies and a spectre following her. It was time to get involved personally.

    H3, The Ghost-town

As her army of light dissolved Suraya placed a mental block on the one she had deceived before. "Oh no, you are going nowhere friend...", she said with a friendly but determined smile. "You are going to tell Blade whatever you know..."
  23. Jungle-border, B4

As the area around the mirror gate was cleared by the abominations back in Castle Bathory a small host of 15 zombie warriors joined the three werewolves still in the hall. They where all suited up in dark armor and helmets... Some of them had swords... others where armed with old-fashioned machine guns. But two of them where packing flame-throwers.

In one line they walked through the gate to end up next to Jack and Lucard. Vladimir followed them as last... casting a shadow fall over the platoon of undead. Not that it helped much as the werewolves where obviously not in the mood to go stealthy.

Elizabeth once more repeated her instructions... "Take out the virus containers... Vladimir, make sure Lucard isn't infected!" At that moment the werewolves noticed the movement in the jungle borders... and a howl was sounded as warning.

    ---

    Ghost-town, H3

Back at the ghost-town Suraya had summoned her light army. They where cutting away through cover snipers... taking bullets into their invulnerable animated mass. She blasted one of them with her powers and the deceived sniper turned around to hit a colleague in his face with his rifle.
  24. B4, Jungle-border

"Lucard... I gather you have control of the nosferatu?! In no way they should spread out... yet!", Elizabeth explained... "You know we need to destroy the blood virus first... be careful. You, me and the Nosferatu are vulnerable to its effects!"

She turned to the werewolf... "Jack, the beach needs to be cleared first. Best thing is to use brute force. Stand clear I send in something to manage that."

Back in Cap Vladimir directed three zombies... rebuild and enhanced Abominations... to the portal. "Countess.. the abominations are ready!", the Lich said. "They will not be stopped by a trap or two."

The three creatures stepped through the portal and started sweeping the beach almost instantly... Three meters of Jack one activated a anti-personal mine and its leg was blown off. The creature just crawled further doing its best to find more traps while the werewolf was holding his hands on his ears. The sound was just too much for his senses.

"Lucard... secure the perimeter! I intent to send more over then this.", the blood countess screamed out over the sound of the screaming of the abominations... and the occasional explosion.

Over the Amulet communication, Blade sent a quick communication. "Pious, we read you, we are almost set to move on the ghost town, we are just seeing what we can see". As he said this, Blade looked out over the ghost town, trying hard to spot any movement. "will update when read".
Suraya knew that the lasting time of the cloaking device was much longer then her spells usually last. Still the Desert Princess felt passed a bit.
