  1. What about a costume spotlight, done from the view of one of the Tailors/Facemakers? It could show a different hero and/or villains costume each time, highlighting the different fashions prevailant throughout.

I've got an idea for puzzles/games whee!

    [/ QUOTE ]

One of the puzzles should be a maze, where your task is to guide Lord Recluse past all the pitfalls to the end, in order to steal candy from a baby.

Y'know, like the old diner placemats.

Got mine last night (I've been out of town)--very nice.

    Thanks, Ex!

So, is it just the standard Statesman CCG card that's signed, or is it a limited edition version?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not only is it a CCG signed Statesman card, but it is riddled with Ex Libris fingerprints.

    Aha!

*now what to do with all these cards*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Dang, now I'm wishing I could have entered. How am I suppose to clone you and use an army of Super-Libris-es now?

    So, onto the posssibilities:
-A villain group returns = 5th Column Return. Lets say, led by the Reichsman.
-An old friend returns as an enemy = Hero 1 Leads a new Rikti invasion of Paragon and the Rogue Isles
-Enemies become friends = Co-Op Zones dealing with the above. At an extreme, perhaps cross over, but I consider that doubtful

    [/ QUOTE ]
By jove, I think you've got it.

Or we will both be wrong.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd bet really good money on the return of the Reichsman and the 5th leading to a Hero and Villain team-up.

I mean, think about it... The Reichsman is not about to play second fiddle to anyone, the Fifth Column Loyaltists would still be smarting over the Council taking over, and the Reichsman is just as powerfull (If not even more so) then Statesman. And, considering that Lord Recluse wouldn't be able to manipulate Reichsman as well as he could Statesman, he'd know full well that Reichsman would be a grave threat to his desired future.

Suffice to say, Reichsman will be a major player. I bet dollars to donuts on it.

Player A1 puts up a Level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.

Player B1 puts up the same Level 12 TO for 1,000 inf.

Player A2 (trying to transfer funds) offers to buy that level 12 TO for 5,000,000 inf.

Since player B1 wants less, and is obviously trying to move his items faster, his "for sale" is processed first, so he ends up with 5,000,000 inf (minus fees).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I like this. This means you get what the buyer thinks something is worth rather than what you think it's worth. So if I put it into the AH for 5000, I'll get any offer 5000+. IMHO, ingenious. I'll always get my personal minimum without having people buying my stuff only to "play the AH".

I know that I always had issues with AHs in other games because the items I needed would be outrageously priced. And I'm not talking that they were outrageously priced because that was the worth of the item. I mean that they were outrageously priced because players didn't want to sell within reason.
For example: A while back in WOW there was a "supply event" where you could turn in stacks of hides for items and cash. Well, that sucked for crafters because the price of hides suddenly increased out of proportion. I know that's just "supply and demand" but it caused a standstill in the AH after a week because noone was selling hides for less than a gold piece. It would be like a DO suddenly selling for the price of a HO.

In COH's new system, I like how you can't see what other people are selling for. That means there's not going to be outrageous prices for salvage because people aren't going to know the market value of a particular item is....just what NPC vendors will sell for and what you want for profit over that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pretty much my thoughts on the subject. The problem here is that some people are upset because it makes it harder for them to transfer influence to their alts, despite the fact that this is NOT what the auction house was designed for.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
No idea why they just won't put a simple mail system in like other MMO's. Then you can cross erver mail itesm and inf to other toons.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Theres no guarantee that they wont, nor that there isn't already the ability to transfer influence cross-servers currently in the works. All Positron posted was an example of what would happen if someone tried to do it using the Consignment shops. NOT "Oh, and we're never giving you the ability to transfer influence cross-server, either. So nyeah!".
  15. Dear Ex_Libris,

In order to truly become the new community coordinator for City of Heroes/Villains, you must first correctly answer these questions three!

    1) What... is your name?

    2) What... Is your quest?

    3) What... is the mean airspeed of a Batarang thrown by Batman, as he is descending upon a group of criminals (Who are known to be a superstitious and Cowardly lot)?

It could also just be a change in animations for a claws or spines power.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or it could be the Nemesis Staff seen from a strange angle.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Okay, fine. It's not the Nemesis Staff.

It is *not* a new powerset or a re-do of spines or any other powerset. Sorry to disappoint.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My money says the Samurai is either an NPC that joins up during Statesmans task force (Thus making it a Signature power)...

OR it's an upcoming vet reward temp power.

I beta'd and played release for a few months if that counts. :/

Still the greatest game soundtrack ever IMO. Beautiful, beautiful music. To bad the rest of the game was broken beyond belief.

I know. I played Horizons myself for about a month or so before I cancelled. It's a shame the game was so horribly busted, as it really had a lot of potential. (Especially with Dragons)

Yep, edge does that effect in Irf. I remember when I used to use irfanview. Some cool effects in there.

Then, I moved my photo skills up to "The Gimp" which is is freeware and is pretty darn good in my opinion.

I made this from scratch in The Gimp. It's easy to learn and doesn't take long to learn how to do well. Take from this signature I made for myself what you want.

My sig on most forums that allow pictures
Note: The picture is kind of gory, and the blurry arms is telekinesis. It's made for an anime called Elfen Lied (One of my favorite animes of all time). Probably not my best signature, but it's my favorite because of the anime I made it for.

    <3s,
    Shinobu

I've used Gimp before, actually. Back when I was messing around with doing sprite manipulations. I may download it again, just because while my drawing skills suck rocks, I like messing around with all the different filters just to see what crazy things I can do with the screenshots.

I like that look. I don't know if I would have done the cape, but I really like the look.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It looks better from the back, as it's just the single shoulder cape. So really, it looks more like a really ornamental scarf.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
Oh wow. Neat! How'd you do that?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I took a screenshot of my character using the Pocket D transport power. Then I stuck it in Irfanview, sharpened it, and used Edge (I think) filte.
