Quote:Who's Rathi? and why do you want me to kill him?I'm definitely interested as I did play Wing Commander back in the day. (And let's face it, for all their derivation of the Kzin, "Kilrathi" is a cool name.) I'm worried he might be biting off more than he can chew, though. But dang if those videos don't look pretty.

Quote:I knew there had to be B5 fans among the people at Paragon. Too many little references in your missions...like the Book of K'Gar instead of G'Kar (newspaper or radio...can't recall right now)Great video. It made me shed some tears.
I also love the Babylon 5 music.
and that television mission set on the B5 station.
Anyway...to D_R: That was an outstanding video, and I bow to your creativity and your technical ability to share your vision with us. -
Thanks to you and the Paragon Studios team for making such a quality mmo and environment. I started playing about a year after the launch and have stayed a subscriber ...even doing the 12+2 renewal back in July.
I will always have fond memories of this place, and for lack of better words, I'll let Mr. Vic Fontaine of DS9 fame express some of my thoughts about this game and community.

Quote:I had a similar issue when I upgraded my laptop to Windows 7. It turns out that I got it to work by disabling windows xp compatibility mode in both the coh_updater and City_of_Heroes executables and switching on administrator mode in the properties. Give that a try and see.I've been having trouble running the game since upgrading to Windows 7. I realize that's not too strange, except that plenty of other people seem to do just fine with it, and I'm not seeing many posts about it being a problem. Stranger, my roommate and I both have the same problem, despite not having anything related as far as computers go.
At any rate, my problem is that it can't seem to load any of my characters. It goes really slow after I select one, and then eventually fails. What's really odd is it works fine one time if I uninstall then redownload, but after that one time it then downloads something on my next try, and won't work again. The exact same thing happens to my roommate, even though his computer is a custom-built desktop and mine is an HP laptop. Anyway, just curious if anyone else has a problem like this, or any ideas. I've installed all updates, and new drivers. -
I managed to fix this problem by downloading the latest desktop ati drivers (7.4) from the ati site for vista. I then ran the mobility modder program at driverheaven.net and now my texture and gamma issues have been fixed.
I thought I would post this here, so other people who are experiencing the same or similar problems may try this out. -
Hello everyone.
I am using a laptop running Vista home premium. I am experiencing brighter than usual colors when I log in and texture flashing problems as well. The textures will flash at times and appear to be missing at other times. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before.
Everything else works well in cox, but the graphics issues are annoying.
My current system specifications:
Core 2 Duo 2.16 ghz
mobility radeon x1900
2 GB ram
1920x1200 resolution
100 GB hard drive
Driver Packaging Version 8.332-070108a1-039663E-FIC
Thanks for any help
