  1. The only thing that this change does is making the game less fun for some players.
    PLing is going to happen weather you like it or not, and its happening everywhere, after running through all the story arcs its fun to have the ability to skip to the parts of the game that one prefers.

    This is an unnecessary restrictive change, if anything, then its going to make everyone less happy about the game, for the simple fact that the players who think that PLing is some sort of bad behaviour are going to still see it happening since there is no way to prevent it completely and they will still be unhappy about it, while the players who dont mind skipping a few levels where they feel like it are going to get disappointed and of course find another way.

    rez powers reducing the debt would be so horrible, i can see all the selfish people refusing to go to hospital and insisting to wait for a rez that might take a long while to recharge, in addition people will start asking for payoffs for casting rez... it will be very very bad for the game.
    anyway, debt is so meanigless, it comes and goes so quickly at whatever level you are.
    I think the corrent system is great and would hate to see it changed even slightly.
  3. With the new nerfs(Elude, SS, SJ) this thread should not be forgotten or silenced.
    The way those nerfs are introduced seems to me very much like a divide and conquer strategy.

    Not to mention that if your team keeps on fighting while you're on your way back to the mission you might lose the final xp reward/badge for the mission itself.

    I for one remember getting debt on purpose at levels 4-9 just to be able to get all the mission badges/souves.
    this is going to make it much harder.
    anyway, imo upto like level 30 debt is pretty meanigless since the levels go so fast... but I guess different players have different play styles, seems to me that if the lowbie door missions in the hollows will no longer be in the red zones players will get much less debt, oh well.

Hopefully, there would be a rez from another Defender or Controller available, but if not, that Kineticist is going to stick around to see the outcome since there's virtually no way to make it back from a Hospital in time. Giant Monster goes down 70 seconds later. What then? 70 seconds later, the Speed Boost they used is still active on their team. It's a two minute buff.

    because now CoH turns into pvp game and if you dont deal damage you dont count and cannot possibly be helpfull to a team or deserve xp.

    I realy hope this will never get to live, it will ruin the freedom that is the fun in CoH.
  7. A warning about the Damge / Range HO:

    never put those in Energy Torrent or Phantasm it will cause a very annoying Bug, the range will get extended but the power will only damage things on the regular unenhanced range, for some reason this bug hasnt been fixed yet.
  8. I wonder if we will start seeing messages about being too far away and not getting xp(like the instanly annoying SK messages).
    If not then there sure need to be a way to know you are still in range of the team.

    This change still sounds pretty horrible, I would hate to see it go live.
