    Name: The Derelict

    Theme/Concept: We are the crew aboard the derelict starship CMF Rho Majoris. We work closely with Earth's defense forces to protect the planet and fund the reconstruction of our ship. SG members are considered enlisted crewmembers and registered heroes.

    Currently Recruiting: We are currently accepting new members of all types and leadership. We are also looking for sci-fi and heroic roleplay Supergroups for coalition.

    RP Level: RP-intensive. We have an OOC channel for discussion, all conversation is considered IC when not in brackets. We promote roleplay on our forums. OOC gameplay activity is allowed.

    PvP Level: Undefined. We do not currently have an SG-based PvP initiative.

    Activity: We are currently down to a skeleton roster, coming out of hibernation. We are anxiously looking to rebuild and reach active momentum once again.

    Coalitions: No active coalition groups (current coalitions have red-named). We are looking for sci-fi and heroic roleplay Supergroups for coalition.

    Requirements for Membership: Must be interested in active roleplay of a science-fiction nature, and wish to play aboard the crew of a starship. Must be a registered hero unless a compatible roleplay justification dictates otherwise. No activity requirements, as the supergroup is currently coming out of stasis.

    Other Details: This is a great opportunity to enter an exciting supergroup on the ground level of a renaissance reboot. Base plot is being renovated, new room layout has been established and is being redesigned. Players with engaging initiative and roleplay proficiency will definitely be considered for leadership positions. Thank you!

    There's also the pivot value of supply and demand. Some of you are talking hundreds to thousands of US dollars for a base build, but now your clients are only people who are willing to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a construct that they do not legally or even virtually own (thanks, TOS!). And while I'm aware that this market exists, it does not represent the whole of the accessible playerbase for these exchanges.

    I find it more accessible to work off of in-game values, and so I will continue to consort with players and builders who do exchanges based on influence and in-game items. Maybe Paragon Points, if they introduce a system of player exchange for them.

    I hope this doesn't derail the discussion at hand, but City of Heroes is a private service run by a business that operates by its policies, and your actions are not protected by law. They can suspend your account if they feel you're in violation, no matter how justified you feel. Your only retaliation is to sue, and well, good luck with that.

    Charging real money is playing with fire. You can try it, others have succeeded, but don't trick yourself into thinking it's condoned.

    Virtue based supergroup The Derelict is looking for a seasoned or ambitious base builder to help construct a derelict starship. Pulling from various space themes (Star Trek, Firefly), the desire is to have a spacious yet thematic high tech ship, with clear signs of wear and battle damage (likely using sewer objects). Stacking techniques will be required for creating the aesthetic, but aside from the occasional catwalk this base can be a single floor. A modest amount of prestige is available - only decorative building is needed.
