  1. My lv47 PB is currently doing the last few missions of our 45-50 arc on Defiant. There are two missions left - 2 AVs and 10 Shadow Cysts between them.

Now, I *could* get a normal team or solo them, but I figured it might be fun to get a team of all-Khelds to take out the leaders of the Nictus once and for all. Does anyone with a Kheldian on Defiant want to join me? I'll probably run the missions tonight or tomorrow night after 7.

EDIT: Gah, forgot about the Hami raid tonight. Not tonight. Wednesday then.

    Hojem Hits 50

I teamed with her today and enjoyed every minute. Grats on the big 50!
  3. So that's three tanks and three /SR scrappers.

    Should be interesting.
  4. I'll join up for this, can make it with a MA/SR Scrapper (Leese) or a PB. (Alice Travers) Would prefer Leese.
  5. Gratz Seraph on your 50!

BTW if you still want to hunt Fake Nems, I have a mission that should spawn lots of them which we can farm.
  6. Good raid, thanks again to the raid leaders (and another thanks for taking the reigns with all previous raids.)

See you in I9 if we don't get another raid before then!
  7. Leese

    Crazy SG idea?

I want to give this a shot too, send me a tell!
  8. Got my PB to 45. Will be there as her.
  9. I'd like that, maybe I can get Alice to 45 in time for it.
  10. Looks like you're full but if space frees up, Leese (50 MA/SR scrapper) or Alice Travers (43 Human/Nova PB) would really like to join up.
  11. I was under the impression that they self-stunned, as I think I remembered reading that somewhere. But I've never had a blaster over 32, so never tested it myself. Guess I was mistaken.
  12. The character I bring will probably be Razorslash, the Kat/Regen scrapper.
  13. Oops. I do have build up. Just forgot it.

Thanks for the advice. I've never got a blaster to 32, but I was under the impression nukes stunned - guess DS is an exception. It definitely looks like a better choice.

A +def power is also a good idea. I'll look at the available ones and pick one. Maneuvers might be good because then I could pick up Tactics and help my accuracy, though that might put a strain on my end. Guess I'll need to try it and see.

Which leaves probably Glowing Touch, and Dwarf Form if I don't get Tactics.

EDIT: Hm, looking at it again... Combat Flight+Maneuvers+Tactics = 0.5 end-per-whatever. Which is the same as Fly, and my end always drains very quickly when accidently fighting from fly. Tactics doesn't look like it'll be practical without more endred slots. Its looking like CJ may be the best option. Much less end cost and doesn't require slotting.
  14. I'd be interested. Got a PB, Grav/Kin troller, Kat/Regen scrapper or Archery/Elec Blaster I can put forward.
  15. I finally hit 40 on my Peacebringer today. Practically all my powers are slotted as I'd like them, and I have all the ones I was sure I wanted. In one level's time time I'll hit 41... and I don't have a clue what I really want for my final few powers. She's a Human/Nova with an emphasis on the human side and no intention of PvPing.

    Powers I already have...

    Luminous Blast
    Luminous Bolt
    Luminous Blast
    Bright Nova
    Radiant Strike
    Incandescent Strike
    Pulsar
    Photon Seekers

    Luminous Aura
    Incandescence
    Essence Boost
    Reform Essence
    Shining Shield
    Conserve Energy
    Quantum Flight
    Restore Essence
    Light Form

    Speed Pool
    Hasten

    Fitness Pool
    Swift
    Health
    Stamina

Anybody got any bright ideas for what I should take for the final 4?

    I'm currently considering...

Glowing Touch - I'm not much of a healer even on a proper healing character, but having the option to heal someone would be a bonus.
Dawn Strike - Not taken so far because I hate the idea of the end crash and stun, seems far too risky.
Thermal and Quantum shields - Shining shield feels quite limited against many villian groups now.
Boxing and Tough - Not taken so far because I hate wasting a power pick, and I would probably never use Boxing. (... unless that's the one that stuns. Would that stack with IS's stun?)

Ones I've dropped in the past...
Dwarf Form - I'm not crazy about tanking, making it effective took too many slots, and it didn't fit concept. Now that I have Light Form I don't feel I need it.
Solar Flare - I use Combat Flight for KB protection, maneuverability and concept reasons. You can't use Solar Flare while flying
Leaping Pool - Fighting in Combat Flight removes the need for Acrobatics IMO.

What do you think I should grab? Anything I'm missing?
  16. Leese

    Origins

Most of these details would come out in the story I'm writing, but what the heck.

    Leese:
    =============

    Class: Scrapper
    Origin: Natural
    Security Level: 50

    Primary: Martial Arts
    Secondary: Super Reflexes
    Epic: Weapons Mastery

    Name: Leese Stewart
Date of Birth: (what year is it ingame? Assuming current year ingame is 2007, Leese was born on 14/8/1992)
    Place of Birth: Westfield
    Height: 5'1"
    Weight: 95 lb
    Hair: Blonde, cut short
    Eyes: Blue
    Marital Status: Single
Current Residence: Salamanca (in an apartment in the building with a bridge outside it)
Occupation: Full time student, in middle school
    Identity:

    Powers:
An intuitive and inexplicable knowledge of most forms of martial arts, everything from judo to scimitars. Even though she is very competent with them, her handlers at ELITE decided it would be best not to let her carry weapons due to her young age.
She also has enhanced strength, fitness and agility, suspected to be the result of a subconcious ability to manipulate chi.

    Limitations:
She tires easily in prolonged fights, can't take a hit when it lands, and sometimes has trouble keeping track of whats important in a battle.

    Talents:
Very interested in all forms of sports. At Westfield, she was the backbone of at least four of the school's sports teams.

    Nemesis:
Clockwork: Leese's first day in Paragon was spoiled when her mother, and friend and her were ambushed in Galaxy City by Clockwork.
Crey: A spy from Crey Industries conducting industrial espionage got her father in trouble and caused the family's move to Paragon City.

    Contacts:
(ingame SG) Generic Supergroup 101 / SGS 50s
(in story) Apprentice, a SG set up to ensure teenage heroes are properly trained and supervised, partly to save lives and partly to make sure they won't move to the villian side (becoming Outcasts, etc)
Very close friends with Alice Travers

    Biography:
Leese Stewart is the only child of a fairly wealthy family. Her father is an executive in Polarcorp, a company that hit it big in the Rikti War: the Rikti had established several bases in the Arctic and Antarctic, and Polarcorp's expertise in creating robots that can function in sub-zero temperatures made an enormous, profitable difference in destroying these bases and brought a lot of Rikti technology into Polarcorp's hands, through less scrupulous methods perhaps.
Unfortunately, her father was framed of sabotaging a critical project. At the last moment, before the company decided to press charges, he made a backroom deal with the CEO, who decided to test his loyalty - go to Paragon City and oversee an extremely dangerous project. With his head on the chopping block, and despite Leese's objections, the family had no choice but to move.

The move to Paragon was devastating enough for Leese, as she had to leave all her friends, her school and a town she loved behind. Worse was to come however.

On her first visit into the center of Paragon (with her mother and a friend, to pick up the uniform for her private school) the group was ambushed by Clockwork. Leese did not do anything out of fear and because she was told to do nothing and wait for a hero by the friend. Unfortunately a hero never arrived, and the clockwork got away with a number of their valuables, including a bracelet Leese's friends had given her as a going-away present.

Stewing in her anger, fear and a strange feeling of shame, Leese went out that night to find where the clockwork took her bracelet and get it back. She eventually found them in Galaxy City, at a number of large piles of scrap metal. Since the clockwork seemed to be concentrating on building something, she thought she could sneak close to one of the piles and find her bracelet, but was discovered.
Suddenly surrounded by Clockwork she attempted to fight her way out, and pulled off many attacks and acrobatic feats she would never have guessed she was capable of before, because she'd never tried. Unfortunately there was no end to the number of clockwork attacking her and she eventually started taking hits, but was saved as a hero - a woman who could control gravity - turned up and rescued her, lifting her up and flying away to the roof of a building.

Leese ended up watching from that rooftop while the hero and an enormous group of other heroes took on the swarm of clockwork and prevented them from building a massive robot. Later the woman - Spritely - would encourage her to become a hero and introduce her to Apprentice, and Leese would help destroy another Paladin and even bigger threats to the city - but this bio is quite long enough by now I think, especially if I'm wanting to actually write this.

If this was actually interesting, maybe I'll do Spritely, Alice or Razorslash Yes, Leese was inspired by anime characters such as Sakura Kasugano (Streetfighter) and Anita King (ROD The TV)
  17. I started writing Leese's backstory some time ago. Every time I start working on it I start up the game to check the layout of Salamanca or something, and an hour later I'm dinging 38.

If I can find the time to stop playing the game sometime, I might get back to work on the story.
  18. Spritely (32 Grav/Kin) or Alice Travers (36 Peacebringer) would like to join up!
  19. What? But I can fly in real life. Here, I'll show you.

    *climbs up on roof*
  20. I don't remember the exact sets, but Knockback protection is definitely covered by Set Bonuses.
  21. I'm in, Leese (lv50 MA/SR/Weapons Scrapper)

We should probably ensure at least one member has Fly and Recall Friend. (Leese does but only at Level 50, so in this case she doesn't)
  22. I helped explain things in a new raider team at the last raid and would like to again.
  23. It was a good raid, and everything went smoothly from my point of view. Great job all.

Whos looking forward to the new hami? :P
