OK, for someone better with this than I am:
I have a camera at coordinates x1,z1,y1 and I want it to "look at" the coordinates x2,z2,y2. I want the formulas to get the proper pitch, yaw and roll in a way I can enter them into Excel. Any takers? A link to an Excel file uploaded somewhere that does exactly that would be a huge bonus. -

Shoo, Leandro, and take your well edited commercial with you! I don't need the competition!

Okay, what about I post a badly-edited one instead?

Direct download link (Windows Media 9)
YouTube (low res)
This was a failed idea from the start, Recluse's voiceover doesn't really work as the only sound element, the transitions between clips don't really work and the lack of text doesn't help. I'm still uploading it because at least this way I can put it behind me and try to come up with something better.
(To make sure there's no misunderstanding, Giant Trouble is still my entry) -

leo, while your entries are awesome, I need to point the rule out that says- only one entry per person--- so you need to pick one... sorry.
i hate to be you tho, i hate having to make sucha tough desicion.
[/ QUOTE ]
Tough? You mean between the one with the shaky camera and the lame typeface and the one with a bunch of giant monsters? Okay, okay, so the first one shows i11 stuff... I still pick the second one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAlK4MOm4Kw
Note that I might feel like posting another one or two before the 16th. I like editing videos, I just don't post them. -
OK, my second attempt took me seven hours, about four of them spent looking for giant monsters and for people to take them down, two editing, one looking for a music track that didn't suck from COH's collection. And now I have to work in 10 minutes!

If you have trouble watching the video in w00t's page (it shows the video in the wrong aspect ratio even when it loads OK), you can download the Windows Media file from: http://www.w00tstudios.net/seyretfil...l1w06zt2mr.wmv
It will also show up on my YouTube channel shortly: http://www.youtube.com/user/LeandroPardini -
Here I am with a freshly reactivated account to confirm what Turg say, and also to give the link to the w00tpage for the video, that doesn't seem to work in Firefox but is requried by the rules I think:

Nice comic, Chase! Minor nitpick, though, *Positron* is the one who always cries at weddings. That's why he wouldn't take the helmet off!

I already missed every other double XP weekend for different reasons, so if I happen to get locked out of this one, it's no big deal. The XP curve smoothing that's going online next week is likely to make double XP weekends obsolete anyway.

"Freedom Chat" does not exist, "Radio Freedom" is the chat channel for the Freedom server. However, it's completely full most of the time.
"Liberty Kheldians" is for PB/WS help and build discussion, started in the Liberty server, but generic enough to work for anyone regardless of server. -
<Maybe I'd get it if reading the OP didn't make me twitch and remember plenty of horror stories about Scrappers acting exactly that way and being way more trouble than they're worth. Maybe I'm a little tired of Empathy being treated like the moron kid in the buffing block. Maybe I should have slept more than 4 hours last night.>

Don't ever tell a Regen, "I'll rez you." They don't need your rez. Especially don't ever tell them that your rez is recharging.
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't worry, my empathy controller doesn't have a rez. If you were stupid enough to get yourself killed by not staying close enough for buffs, I'm not pulling your butt out of the dirt. -
[ QUOTE ]
EDIT: maybe ill just fortitude and adrenaline boost that nice energy/energy blaster over there, she is offing her targets faster anyhow, and her knockback attacks make the scrappers sputter so...
[/ QUOTE ]
Absolutely. While I was attempting to get the Master of STF badge on my main, I made the huge mistake of having scrappers on the team. Twice, I failed the MoSTF requirements because of one death -- the scrapper, going to melee Ghost Widow after being told to just sit it out unless he had a ranged attack.
In one MoSTF attempt (after I had gotten my badge), I had a blapper. He went to melee a completely debuffed and helpless Lord Recluse. I said, once, "<blaster name>, get the <bleep!> out of melee!" and he did, immediately joining the team. Even if the risk was minimal, he knew better than to risk anything when we were one minute from completing the TF with a badge. Scrappers just ignore the "be careful" command because they "can handle it". -
[ QUOTE ]
So, here's the thing: award a hidden badge, invisible to us players, to each and every character on an account that has applied at leats one full retail code, or which has paid for at least one month of play-time.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what I said two weeks ago :P -
[ QUOTE ]
Granted the first Vet Badge is for 3 months.....unless they want to slip in a One Month vet badge that offers a costume token (retro rewarded to long term players of course), then have the system designate accounts less then one month as not having in game email capacity.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suggested something similar to this before. We have hidden badges (that are awarded but don't show up on the list) to track several things already; I suggested a *one day* veteran badge, hidden, that would enable email/trading. That way you can't use those functions on your first paid day ingame, but you can every day afterwards. 24 hours is not too much to wait. -
I really don't see why people find it slow to level. Lady Grey task force earlier today, went from level 42 to 43 in 2 hours and a half (10 or 11 bars of XP). And that TF works for anyone 35+, even if the contact says otherwise. One level in under 3 hours sounds pretty good to me.
-
If this means I get to have my badge list online, always updated, without having to download and run herostats to verify them... YAY!!!

*ties Manticore to a chair*
And now, Meeester Fish, you will tell us all!
... about the story bible and the fifth column and the butt kicking reichsman and the evil kheldians and who ms. liberty's father is and what incarnates actually are and what happened to Weaver One and what you and Recluse were up to in Bogota and who the Coming Storm are and whether there'll ever be a sighting of the Battalion and and and

Or just scan the story bible.
Please.

Why scan a bunch of text when we can go right to the source?

BRAIN DISSECTION FTW!!! -
Actually, here's more fuel to the flames: an UK magazine called PCZone gave away COV accounts not long ago. And now, having COH "given away", they're getting both games for free.
Cue the hysterical "It's not fair!!! I demand compensation!!!"
(Probably with lots of caps, leetspeak, and UniqueDragon's grammar.) -
I find it funny that I looked at the announcement discussion in the European boards, and nobody there was complaining about people getting the game for free and asking "compensation". The US population is being a bit too noisy over something that's not a big deal.
Cultural differences ftw. -

A serious question here: CoH/V was developed and maintained using the proprietary Cryptic Engine and toolsets. Is NCsoft NorCal doing to be licensing these applications from Cryptic?
Or does NCsoft Norcal plan to develop its own toolsets to develop for CoH/V?
[/ QUOTE ]
"As part of the agreement, NCsoft is licensing Cryptic's engine technologies for use with future games." -- crypticstudios.com
Here I take "future games" to mean COV-like expansion boxes which may be in the works and they could market as separate games. I don't think NCsoft would be releasing another game based on this engine, but what do I know. -
[ QUOTE ]
I suspect that means paid expansions or CoX 2, for some reason this is really making me uneasy. Maybe its just the whole no sequel ever outdoes the original kinda thing (generally).
[/ QUOTE ]
If that means a fresh start in badges and I'll get to be one of the vets rubbing in my face that I'll never have the 6 badges to catch up with them, sign me up! -
[ QUOTE ]
I need to get my forum title changed (-_^)b
[/ QUOTE ]
Do you think NCsoft will buy you a bigger box now? -
Surprisingly low amount of DOOM in this thread. I'm impressed that no flames need to be put out so far.
The only issue I see being raised is from people who bought both games asking for some "compensation". Let's think about that for a minute. In my opinion, if you bought the "other half" of the game over three months ago, your reward is playing that half for that long.
But what about those who bought it recently, say, last month, or the month before? What would you like as compensation?
A free month of gameplay, added to the free month you got with the box? That sounds pretty fair to me.
Influence for your characters maybe? 1 million for a level 1-15, 5 million for a level 16-29 or below, 10 million for a level 30+?
All costume recipes unlocked in all your existing characters?
Shoot some ideas, and remember to keep it realistic. -
[ QUOTE ]
I would guess that we'll eventually see at least one blast set that uses the Combo mechanic and maybe more melee sets.
[/ QUOTE ]
And maybe a controller set! Let's see... summon pets+single hold+group hold combo = all targets of the group hold are hit by 1000 damage! *drools*
Yeah, I know, not gonna happen -

but why not one Arachnos costume?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because you can get one through Agent G's arc in Faultline, and since issue 11 will have Flashback, chances are you'll be able to get THAT costume whenever you want.
