Sorry I missed it, nice work on the GH piece, your toon's pretty cool looking.
-
Eddy says and you have to imagine his smooth thick liquid gold Aussie accent: (down Cashoo, down),
"It's just a hardbrush. I set the opacity from 30-50-75%, the higher the more saturated. And the flow from 10-40-60%, the lower the softer edged the brushstroke will be."
And that's it. The rest is normal layering, flatting if you already do that, and of course there is " some " natural drawing involved. -
Quote:What?? How did this awesome sketch end up framed on my wall above my computer where I can (and do) admire it daily?? The mysteries of the world...
You're a PK? What other toons do you play? I was a Sisters of the PKs for a few months waaaay back in 2007. How are Gray and Lady? -
I am loving this Photoshop technique of yours!
I have fooled around before in there on other portraits. But never knew it was this simple. Can't wait to do more, but for now I present:
Gray Huntress
About an hour's worth of time... but I rushed things.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, GH, this is a freebie for waiting so long... -
Just to sample a few of the 781 people I follow on DA (though some of their accounts are inactive
, and in no particular order:

Kuroitora
Kerembeyit
And some joker named, Adam Hughes, but he's not very popular... -
Hola Ms. K... nice to see a familiar face. I drew you once waaaay back in 2005 or was it 2006? Anyway I was just starting my COH fan art... I may have to draw a new one, I've come a long way. You can find me in TA's artist thread under "baquitania".

Actually a little longer, maybe 40, but I was being rush by my family who were waiting to go to dinner. I wanna rework it a little, the leg highlight is horribly rushed...
However this WAS fully painted, didn't do a flat layer, just separated by colors: red, yellow, skin, background, and a sword layer. I just erased edges as I went along, even though flatting would have paid off...
I want to give a BIG thanks to Eddy Swan (Ben) for his very cool hardbrush, lower flow technique. A LOT of fun... -
There will be no poking here, I get poked enough on Facebook.

Quit lying down on the job and get back to work... sheesh! you call yourself a scientist!
-
Oh gees, it took me a while to figure out you wanted a place... obviously I haven't played in ages. (gonna change when Ultra Mode comes out) I thought you were asking for a sketch of your toon, and I was gonna volunteer... oh well, don't mine me. Pyro's got it covered!

Oh yeah? Well then I will send a bigger 32bit file.
Edit: uploading now, just a little over 21 megabytes, if you have the patience for it. -
Do you see a "james t. kirk" on my shirt? I do not sleep with green women.
-
Not a problem. I sent you 3 versions in 3 emails, too big to put in 1...
1) 16 bit color, print size 7 x 10 - just under 8mb file.
2) 24 bit color, print size 5.3 x 7.4 - just over 10mb file.
3) 32 bit color, print size 4.2 x 6 - just over 9mb file.
These are set at 300 dpi. -
PM your addy again Jophiel, and I will send you a TGA of Polish Princess. She is already 300 dpi, but I will see if I can increase that a little, only problem is getting it under 10mb to email on Gmail.
EDIT: I had to save it at 16 bit color as a targa file to get it under the 10mb cap. The image went from 7 x 10 to 5.7 x 8... at full size it was a little over 18mb at 32 bit color. My only other solution is mailing me a little thumb drive. I put the full file on there, including all the stages, and you can print to your heart's content. -
Here's one for the non-clickers... a slightly altered cropped version.
-
Here is your full version gift from Macskull...
Remind him to send you the HUMONGOUS versions... or pm your addy, and I will send them. Hope you like em, and I'm glad this one is 2 months late from when I should have finished it, but a few days early before your real birthday!
All the best!

Larissa, you have to stop carrying your artistic snacks around... btw, great crystals Alex!

Thank you Scooter, Star & Vex! I forgot to include my emotive reference for that piece, the woman who's eyes and mouth I borrowed from...

I think that your orchestration of the website and a possible logo, will get you the kudos such a gesture deserves. As for getting your friend motivated, Starwind is correct, having her input will force her to get things going. Just giving her it all, keeps her out of the loop. A website isn't something unless she has that type of background, she may want to devote time to... but the logo can inspire any number of ideas.
Brainstorming... it's not just for Halloween night anymore. -
Stages can be seen here... and the Final here!
Thanks again Rob for being so patient! Hope you like her.
