It's not the proportion of the breast, it's what's inside that counts...
(sowwy was too easy to let go...) -
Thanks Kilo, normally I wouldn't do something this involved as a "single character" piece, but it was Turbo's concept that made the thing come to life, no pun intended. When I read her toon's bio, I knew I had to go for it... A single shot would not have done this character justice!
Up next, a poignant side of the Scythe Wielder you're not use to seeing...

Thanks Kilo, before launching I should have waited a day to finish your piece first... I might have to put people on a 24 hour hold, it's too good to keep you waiting.. if I don't say so myself... and it shows people I can do a classic comic cover!
See you tonight for my hour's worth of RAVE TIME!

Thanks T, and yes Ransim, they are great, right now I have altered my que based upon who has sent me screens and payment, this way I am constantly finishing work, and not holding up others...
The Que is on my DA journal, but enough about that, back to my first piece, which I am really excited about. Though I will have to allow the client to be the first to show it to you all!

Cool, when I get back, I'm opening up for business officially, no more delays! -
Guess I didn't make it, since they said they would only notify those who got in...
-
I don't know about saving the day, but here's the ink! Gonna take a lunch break then off to color...
-
Yeah, the original is great, the first alt has been done to death, no pun intended, though I kind of like the undead Caesar look... which would have made a cool name.
-
I need a warm up this morning, this is perfect... here's the preliminary blue sketch, off to ink, then color...

Wonder what they did to get so many beads?

Yeah me too, and I've had Illustrator for frickin 2 years, then one day my wife (who uses the program for her own stock art and taught me how to use it) says, "honey just unclick that box if you want the line to be unselected"...
Doing that basically allows you to draw in the same way you can in Photoshop, but with Illustrator each line is editable. So you can move it bend it twist it... It's like drawing with the pen tool in Photoshop, without having to make all the selections in between and then deciding on your line weight.
Illustrator allows the line to be modified so much that you can lay it down, then fix it instantly, it cures the shakes big time! I'll have to do some screen grabs to show what I mean...
But I love drawing this way now, the funny thing is people tell me I've improved so much, but it's not really my drawing that has changed, just the shakes, and well yes I have learned to color more efficiently...
See why I LOVE my wife! -
Illustrator CS2, I use the brush tool set NOT to keep selected, and I decrease the nodes in each line to 2 or 3 with the smooth tool. Sorry if that sounds like greek, it's basically drawn and inked in a vector program, and then colored in layers in Photoshop.
But yeah it gets rid of the "shakes"... -
I love the Rikti, this is amazing Doug...
