The Scoop, in what I imagine as an all LiquidX format, would most likely be unprintable here due to the rating system in place. On the plus side, no worries, right.

Okay, I got 'Hate Posi's Voice Work' penciled into my calender.

But I didn't hate the voice over, it just felt misplaced. There was a wronginess to it. Hmmm... I think I have it. The voice used felt like it was coming from a college or high school football jock. What was anticipated was something more like the gritty voice of a sergeant. And before you ask, I have no idea why i think of sergeant's voices as being gritty.

I can honestly say that, at no time, was excluding anyone was mentioned. Well, ok, maybe except for this one series we're working on about SG's where we didn't want the guest writer to turn it into a recruitment article. But that's it.

Also, consider City Scoop "in beta". We've got plans and stuff. Also, in the interest of presenting every side of an article, Turg volunteered to be our guinea pig. What about Eric the Red as a counter?

I guess I shouldn't have avoided this for so long. Apologies. It just seems that I can't articulate what I mean some days so I tend to avoid things that could get flamey those days. Consider it a gift.

So, this whole interviewing certain people thing. Uhm, did any think that Teldon sent out requests for several different people to cover and he did the one who bothered to reply? That's what happens more often than not. For all the posts proclaiming how great Behind the Mask is, no one actually gets back to him when he sends the questions. Freakin weird, is what it is.

Second, on some things, there is a consensus about topics, other things not so much. See, I don't expect a vote for the horoscopes. I just pick a line from a huge list my little program spits out and that's that. And it's a real star chart program. PM me your DOB, time of birth and exact location and I'll try to get you a natal chart if you want.

Another thing, about covering people who are considered griefers. I'm so freakin sorry. I thought, and I was really hoping it would be that way, that by showing the person at the keyboard, by humanizing them, it would bring this whole touchy touchy feeling of community about. Y'know, "Hey, he's human too and there's actually something we have in common! OMG!"

Again, so sorry for being wrong about that. Really. Bipolar/PMS/whatever is gone now. This is sincere. Very sorry. And if that's not good enough, I really don't know what else to say other than write something and send it to Marcian or Hertz. Put your money where your mouth is.

It's ok, but you get lawls for it. Before this thread, there wasn't really anyone lawls for the horoscope which left me wondering if anyone did like it. I mean, why bother if no one likes it, right?

That's all. I was also kinda hoping if anyone had any ideas for something to add to the Scoop, they'd post it here.

We were also thinking of running the comic submissions that didn't win the contest, but with over 300 submissions, we can't get them all in before the next contest. There's only 52 weeks in a year.

I haven't really said anything, but it takes a couple hours for those. I think I showed you what the one horoscope from my program looks like. It's more than one edition of the Scoop. Trimming it down, making it relevant to the game world, all that... 12 times... ugh. If it's not that big of a deal, why am I putting a couple of hours into it?

Is the Scoop primarily a collection of puff? Yes. But puff has it's place.

Too much of the same kind of puff, however, quickly becomes boring. I already know I can expect the same old stuff in the Scoop -- fake horoscopes, a puzzle, art collector e-high fives, recipes, etc. -- and now I barely even skim it.

The Lord Stryker interview was the first complete article I'd read in weeks, other than the Market Report.

On the other hand ... there is a distinct air of cliquishness and favoritism about the Scoop. If you're not in "the group," then you're out. And cliques, for the most part, are don't have that much interesting to say.

Personally, I'd much rather see a wide variety of articles and topics, collected through a submission process that is fully explained and open to everyone.

Yes, I am that much of a flake. I have a star chart program. Each AT was entered into my star chart program with a DOB that corrosponds to a zodialogical sign. My program is more for making a full blown, lifetime star chart, so I had to use a year for the birth (the year CoH launched) and a location (lat and long of Providence, RI for heroes/ lat and long of Hispaniola for villains) for each AT/sign.

If you're really interested, the exact corrolation is Brute = Aries, Dominator = Taurus, Controller = Gemini, Defender = Cancer, Scrapper = Leo, Mastermind = Virgo, Peacebringer = Libra, Blaster = Scorpio, Corrupter = Sagittarius, Stalker = Capricorn, Tanker = Aquarius, Warshade = Pisces.

I'm actually getting kinda bummed that I've put a lot into the horoscopes and it's just doesn't seem worth the effort so far.

I've been trying to keep up with the overall EU sentiment since we had those two threads where we replied to each other.

That was pretty cool. I even asked Cuppa if cross-posting would be ok. Sadly, no. Since there are different divisions of NC involved that have little or nothing to do with each other, one account can not be activated in more than one community.
