  1. I've been away for a little over a year. Been back less than 2 weeks, and so far it's been a mixed bag of fun and disappointment.

The game was slowly getting more unstable before I left, and now it's at the worst it's ever been, with random crashes most people are blaming on their cards. Then to see that now server maintenance is done in the late afternoon when people are getting home, versus in the morning as I always remember...

If this is so critical it can't wait until morning, then maybe it's critical enough to give some information.
  2. Uberguy did a great job explaining the possible reason for this situation. Inflation has gotten pretty bad. Just came back from a 15 month break. It's been disheartening seeing the loss of population, but no surprise the market has inflated many times over. I will wait for 2xp and winter event chaos to balance out for a true tally, but as of now my base that had roughly 3 billion in storage then is easily worth 10 now, and thats a rough guess. Items I had bought during hiatus were all fractions of going rates (stack of respecs for 24m). Then only a couple purples were 100m +, now some sets are all 100+.

Inflation will only continue with new ways for earning recipes, and some remaining only feasible to purchase with inf. Add on a playerbase of longtime vets and newbies where the inf is either overabundant or in short supply, toss in items with limited supply and stupid prices, and welcome to now.

So, screw the honest players if there's any chance of someone getting more reward than they should?

I apologize if this sounds harsh, but if you (general you, not you specifically) are using an expoit, knowingly or not, then you are wrong.

    Just wrong. Period.

It's not up to us as the gamers to decide what is or is not an exploit. It's up to the developers. It's their game, and they get to decide such things.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If badge credit for crafting base salvage into brainstorms was an exploit, then crafting base salvage into anything else should have been considered one too.
People used base salvage to continue getting the same reward towards a badge as before, but suddenly it's an exploit, even though most viewed it has one last reward for holding on to base salvage?

As far as the topic goes, the reasoning for stealth fixes and their notes is fine. But the way it was handled with crafting, by issuing a stealth nerf and then a few days later slapping a sentence in the GMOTD to explain it away seemed like a way of saying "Oh whoops, did we not mention that? Our bad," when it clearly meant "Deal with it."

Wow, I haven't had issues as severe as multiple billings or my CC company going ape on me, but I am having issues trying to transfer a character.
I had to recently change the CC # on my account (thanks to someone getting a hold of it for fraudulent charges). The new CC has been billed, yet every time I try to do a transfer, it tells me I have no credit card on file. Which is funny, since NC has billed it without any hassle.

You have to enable having a credit card on file for anything other than subscription billing.

    Look in Billing Summary.

No kidding, I guess when I updated the card info I didn't click that box. I was too caught up thinking it was a technical issue since I made a transfer on my 2nd account with no issues to double check something like that.

Thanks for getting me cleared up on this!

  6. Wow, so all this stuff is pretty groovy. Weapon customization is at the top of the list of things that get me amped.

However, reading about new recipes just makes me want to bang my head on the desk. "Super Rare"? Hmmm, I'm certain we already have those, but they're called "Rares that are useful to more than a fraction of the userbase." I'd hate for my hard work on a TF to be rewarded on a remotely regular basis, but I'd love to have more stuff that I'll probably never earn as a drop during my time playing.
