    Dont know really.Most of the insults i heard recently was from noobs insulting people for not standing still to hit them but the majority of the insults was not directed towards players but towards Castle.

    On another non scrubtastic note:

    After some more playtesting on buffing sets:

    - Buffing has become totally obsolete seems.This of course leads to removing any need for teaming or creative team compositions and builds

    -PFF: Seriously any blaster i see they are just perma in a PFF coming out just to snipe and then putting up PFF again becoming untouchable.What is this kind of dumb mechanic/power that Castle still hasnt fixed after all this time its been there.Its at least stupid.

    -Fly: Castle needs to wake up to be honest from his deep sleep and start giving -fly to every powerset out there.Otherwise its the same situation pre i13 with kiting but far more worse.

    -Control Pressure: No point anymore.

    -DR: although i have pointed out that imo is really bad one more thing i managed to see today its that DR has rendered pointless for highly specialised builds in zonal pvp.For example sniping builds,high accuracy builds,high recharge and so on and so on.Shame.

    I would kindly request take the irrelevant posts to PvE sections of the forum then because while some of us contribute actual feedback from PvPing you contribute [censored] like "i could show you but i cba" which come across as the usual noobness.I dont recall you showing anything pre i13 in terms of feedback or suggestions when it comes to PvP.So unless you got some hard evidence please go to some PvE thread where i am sure your math will be useful.

    I see it as well.Its because scrubs like yourself that pre i13 were getting wiped all over the place did a Justin Timberlake "cry me a river" act because the math wasnt enough to come on top and now this new piece of [censored] that has been delivered fits them well.Because its not about tactics any more,its not about reactions and fast thinking and ability to know every power range, every counter, every get away, every tactical spot on a map.Its about standing still and putting the math do the work like a scrub while you are having herbal tea and doing some more math in the other screen.Thats not PvP though thats Mids vs Mids

    If this goes through it will be another disaster finding its way in the game.At least if they want merits so much to come through pvp content allow the merits either through wins+ contribution in arena matches with new arena modes or through linking PvP reputation in its current form to merits which will retain a level of skill in order to acquire those merits through zonal pvp and not farming.

    My fear is that its more likely the merits for pvp IO's to come through PvE content.

    I agree and imo you are spot on.According to info in closed beta atm there are PvP only IOs.No idea how they are acquired but i can guess merits will be the way and if thats the case thats one more system that will be a failure.

    Well the difference is datamining for PvP is different.While TF's provides most valuable reward in end game PvP itself within the zones and arenas has no reward.And a huge drop in PvP zone/features usage will be very very obvious in regards to how effective those changes were.Its pretty obvious that the zones are empty you dont need to be rocket scientist to observe that.And you dont need to be a rocket scientist to see there is something very very wrong in zones when 8 out of 10 AT's that step in there are tanks/brutes/fortunatas

    Complain?No old ladies complain when there is no actual evidence supporting an arguement which is pretty much what you doing because some people dont just bend over at the devs soothing words.If people had followed the same "put your hands up in the air" attitude not even the i12 option in the arena would be available right now and CB i13 version would have rolled out unchanged.

    Once again no research.I have hit 400 PvP reputation on a AR/Dev blaster at level 37, couldnt get any more gimped than this as well as PvPed with a PB prior to buffing of i13.

    And if you are talking about i13, you kinda make my point.I13 is fail and unless you play Tank or Fortunata there is no reason pvping.

    So adapt to something that is broken.Get off the noobjuice.

    Rolling 3 tanks and 3 brutes and 1 veat in order to adapt to a system that blatantly fails is at least dumb.And thats what separates scrubs.Insta rolling the new uber haxxor powerset in order to be able to claim you are pro is not PvP.

    Demanding a system that works and not handicaps at least 3-4 AT's that were viable pre changes is not anything unreal.

    The current system is against any kind of teaming,defies the need for zonal control,pressure,debuffing and simply makes 8 man tank teams the ultimate faceroller until they are met with 8 man veat team.

    If you like to bend over and adjust quietly go ahead and good for you.

    I see your point of view.Its not the same however.While ED affected whole population the same and inventions as well,i13 didnt.Putting double the effort from i9 till i12 to manage perfect builds and i13 essenially kicked PvP population to pre invention system.This is not something small.Considering usually PvPers dont have a huge interest in PvE side of the game that was pretty bad change.If there was a system in the distant future this change should have been held back cause it was pointless to introduce it.It was either a bad development decision (if there is no future mechanic coming to balance it) or very bad marketing decision that essentially showed the door to the majority of PvP community.Now judging by the deafening silence of the developmet team, the 0 effort to settle the worries that were expressed and the final "you are not our target audience" statement i can say with certainty how this looks.

    You dont understand so i will explain it.I have nothing against fight club as a form of fight.However the 1vs1 option in arena was made for this reason exactly.The current PvP development only enhances the fight club attitude to be brought in zonal pvp and essentially bringing actual zonal PvP to a halt.It essentially disrupts zonal pvp as it should be.Fast,frentic,quick thinking,adrenaline pumpin.

    This has already happened.Zonal PvP numbers are down across the board.In US the posts of veteran pvpers not stepping into the zone anymore are common thing.5 people fightclubbing it under the globe all tanks/brutes aint exactly a sign of super access of the new system in place.

    There is nothing heroic about PvP.RPing is not part of PvP,cant be and thats what the arena is there for.Heroic fights can be done in controlled environment only because PvP is exactly what it says.Player versus Player and not In character versus In Character.

    PvP mobility in CoH was the one thing that defined CoH pvp from other mmo's pvp.Was what majority of the community worshiped about this game pvp,was a trait that only CoH had.In other words it was its advantage.While i understand that some people love to stand and mash buttons to see who dies first without any tactical thought or anything exciting the majority was in it for this reason.The adrenaline,the rush to remain one step ahead of the opponents next move and the unpredictability.

    EU and US pvp community has a lot of players that just plainly quit.Some hang around for a bit longer due to lack of anything better and some just come occasionally hoping that something has changed.

    No.Elusivity on PFF,SR's,widows,ice tanks and shields is utterly broken and game breaking.

    Removal or fixing of elusivity as well as reversal of travel supression would make things bearable and maybe open up more builds to participate in zonal PvP under current status quo.Not that great but still better than now where legions of Tanks and widows have invaded with binds that say "there are 3 rules about the fight club" etc.

    Please learn to read the whole post.I said leave it out and i argued ED just fine.PvP population has been double scammed because while PvE was given back the power taken away pre ED through inventions as you well said PvP players were punished and simply been given DR on IO sets.There is your arguement for the second time since you missed it.

    I like PvP.Period.I have PvPed since day 1,i have played with underpowered AT's in the PvP zones as well so i guess your whole arguement about moaning for not having it our way is void.I got the brains,the knowledge and enough experience to know when something is not working and failing and has been a bad decision just like when i can applaud something.Dont try and spin this with the usual [censored] arguement fanboys use that we dont have it our way.The PvP community in this game stood by the devs for 6 issues doing the best possible with little at hand.S4,X4 in and all kinda events were payer and community manager events.The ladder in US is player driven.Yet noone moaned but made sensible suggestions and kept providing feedback.

    Dont be ignorant.First of all PvP community in its majority doesnt support these changes.Second of all the changes that intended to fill the zones with casuals have failed obviously and third i might not own the game but just like every other person that supported the devs in the good and has been vocal in the bad this is bad and i ll be vocal about it like it or not just like you would be vocal when something would be bad and just like some other people around these boards were vocal when things went bad in other aspects of the game.

    No.Not so be it because this is the wrong decision.You might be a sheep that follows blindly what they feed it but i am not and i ll keep express my disagreement to this move which is only reinforced through game testing and speaking with other people in PvP zones unlike your arguement which stems from nowhere to be honest except blindfaith to some grand scheme of things.

    Stop being a sheep and learn to have your opinion through what you actually experience in the game.Not taking the [censored] without actally trying things out and bringing some hard evidence to the table.

    The fact are simple:

    DR in PvP: sucks.You wana keep DR in PvP?Fine introduce it to PvE as well.But this wont happen cause you know what the result will be.Even fanboys will turn round rip their clothes and scream murder

    Mobility change: Wrong solution to a problem that could have been solved through simple power secondary effects.Would have allowed the game to retain its unique aspect of twitch/fast paced PvP and end the issues of melee with ranged dps

    AT roles: This screw up is most likely due to panic effort to rebalance AT's and in a rush due to the flak being recieved destroyed everything.Balance at the moment is out the window in zonal PvP.

    EDIT: And for the record take a look at US zonal PvP forum and see how many people seem to like/accept/enjoy/find fun this divine intervention the developers did to PvP.

    Yes i do realise and the major fundamental change in closed beta at the moment as far as PvP goes is IO's used for PvP.Big deal.What about everything else that is [censored].Fix the archetypes before proceeding testing new mechanics.Fix the current mechanics in place before doing such changes that destroy feedback.

    Regen scrappers good right now?Nothing comes close to Defence sets at the moment.Melee is facing the same issue that lead to the decision of destroying mobility which was kiting.Blasters switched to fly and good game. Toggle dropping change has made blaster PFF equal to phase if not better and the party keeps going.Defenders,controllers,dominators,corruptors are just dog food now for tanks,fortunatas which prevail all around.

    Leave ED out of it.Although PvPers got double scammed.ED was brought in place in order to remove excessive power and to be given back in the form of IO's. PvPers got scammed by losing IO's as well through DR's and being punished for using IO's.

    Or maybe Castle and Positron get sandblasted again under current system and decide to leave in PvP only brawl this time cause its not fun for them.

    Bottom line is PvP solutions were offered from all the community and they were ignored despite being easy and sensible fixes without huge resource waste because the new vision of NCNC is too create awsome PvP in a 5 year old game suddenly out of the blue in the year that will see the biggest influx of MMO's.

    On another note just logged after more testing in RV.PFF is the biggest joke ever.How is it possible to have phaseshift,hibernate nerfed and not have this ridicilous power.But of course when they calculated the brilliant defense system in pvp the didnt think of this.Destroyed 90% of what was good for the sake of prolonging fights which supposingly makes it more fun for the nubs that like to make fight clubs under the globe.

    PvPers are not annoyed they just plainly left in their majority.A PvPer will always kick butt one way or the other if dedicated over casual gamers thats a universal truth.But there is no point kicking butt when the mechanics provided to do so are [censored].

    I am sure NCNC is super happy how i13 turned out with them.From a 1k concurrent subs rise from March to June 2008 they launch i13 and they are hit by an amazing 4000 concurrent users loss from June to December. (edited for accuracy)
