    As i said it is my defender build slotting. So i am repeating it again just clear that for PFF defender and controller sloting is different. 3 recharges in defender build is for tanking possibility with PFF and have no use for controllers. Especially good holds of other sets and PA of illiusion set. So for controllers with FF secondary i suggest one defbuff or if you want to 2 defbuffs at worst in your PFF.

  3. You shouldn't tho. You are a controller. For all ATs here is a motto "My primary is my primary". People when invite you into teams mostly want you to controll enemies not heals or buffs. In search screen if people needs a bubbler or empath they look for defenders so put the weight of your build to your primary.

    One thing about your PBAoE bubbles; when you run PFF your team loose their bonuses also it applies other powers like Leadership pool powers etc.

    Sloting bubbles is easy. 3 defbuffs and one end rdx to Dispersion Bubble. If you planning to get Repulsion Field and Force Bubble put 3 endrdx to them. For PFF: it is even good without any extra slotting. But in my defender i put 2defbuffs and 3 rechrgs. Force Bolt needs minimum sloting also, 1 acc and 1 recharge should be enough. Only power in FF set you use cautiously is Force Bolt. Remember 2 rules: Never shoot tankers or scrappers targets and always look where you kb your enemy; if you throw him into other mob you can find yourself facing extra aggro.

    For Psy-knight i am more interested in Ghost Ship, as we (me and Doom claw) managed to get down some ghost the other day i want to finish what i've started.

    Isn't there a channel for GM hunters on Union? Or people are only in this hunts for badges? I hunt for the hunt's sake.
  5. Oh how many things can be change in a day. I decided to take Boxing/Kick combo but even for decent damage of the boxing the animation is lame. With a name like boxing and single hit animation looks kinda wierd. Weave's defense bonus is so tiny so don't wort to get it. Also will throw away hasten, i think SB do the same thing for me. I also noticed biggest trick of Mind control is not in my build; Confusion. Maybe for others confuse can be xp-killer power but for me it is big, friendly hold. As i will possibly kick/smack robots confuse will be my biggest weapon against them.

    Heh this is the first of my test builds for Project: Making Defenders from Controllers. This one is more like Melee defender other one will be more hard to do i guess. I will go for Mind/Empath. She won't be getting any damaging powers except forced mesmerize. I also planning not to get Fortitude and AB because they are more aggresive powers of the Empathy set. Sister Peace will be a healer everybody asking for everytime.

    Only bad thing about this fun builds is i can't play as much as i wanted with my mains. Psy-knight is going through the 28 but other two stucked at lvl 20 in faultline arc.

    Perma-Hasten is feasible if you can get to a constant +275% recharge buff via enhances, IO bonuses or (self-)buffs. This means that except for kins, controllers won't be able to get it by themselves (and trying to get close would involve some huge sacrifices in your build anyway). Same goes for PA really. I would say +rechg (including Hasten) is good for all controllers builds so get as much as you can from IOs, but not at the expense of a bad build or other bonuses (e.g. additional +def in the case of FF).

    I have near perma hasten/AM on my Mind Radiation controller. Not always up but for full team i can relase AM between everyfight even between fights. Not anymore unluckily, i forgot to put hasten into my build durin respec. As i can handle myself well without it for now, i will leave it to later stages of the build.
  7. Actually fitness pool choices depends on your travel power mostly. If you get SS, with hasten in your build it will be an economical choice, you will probably want hurdle and swift. With Fly also swift is a option to speed up your flight. With Super Jump you will also want Swift+Hurdle combo. Health don't recomanded by most for squishy types (blasters, controllers and defenders) but sometimes i will add it to my builds. You know every little bit helps.

    I don't know your exact build but if you can't squeeze SJ into your build try to get jump pack from KR bank mission or if you have Good vs. Evil extras, bonus jump pack will be handy for you.

    I had Invisibility + PFF combo on my FF/Psi defender which was my first hero, i love it. You are the king of ghosting now. As i always say with this combo you can even steal bad guys' undies while they trying to hit you patheticaly.

  9. Hmm i love my FF, TA or Storm defenders. But don't love these sets with controllers. They are more likeable in the hands of a defender for me.

    On the other hand, nowadays i am making toons with boring defender sets(kinetic and empathy) as controllers. This have two advantages solo-ability and having nice mind control powers.
  10. I saw couple of Ill/FF trollers out there, even i had one once. But i find it too boring to play. Ill never sound a true controller set to me. Actually only true control set for me is Mind. Lock, lock, lock and more lock down the bad guys.

    But suprisingly there ain't any other GM on Union last nite. We checked Croatoa for Eochai and Jack in Irons, KR for Paladin and iirc Solar checked Perez for Kraken but none found. I think all GMs taking a holiday after Double XP.

  14. After sometime and leveling Psy-knight, Wondergran's nice build in mind i decided to give a work to my melee defender build. Here's my mostly melee kinetics/mind controller combo. I go for fire epic pool this time, cause i wanted to try something else, have more damage of different type and making a pyrokinetic hero sounds fine.

    A one side not: this will possibly more solo oriented build if i will find myself solo more i will think about dropping SB and ID. But what will i get instead of them? Acrobatics and Total Domination maybe or Weave and Acrobatics.

  17. Is it a good idea to run 1st Respec TF on the Double XP time?

    I wanted to respec Psy-knight and make it before he gets much higher in lvls. He is currently lvl 26.

    If anyone thinks it is a good idea and between lvl 25-27 i am willing to form a team for 1st Respec TF tonite (28th. May. 2007) at 6 pm London Time.

  19. Fine. You must work over anatomy a little. For those pens i never see them but if they like the coloring pens i've used to use paper quality make a great difference on the picture.

    Good work and thanks for sharing. And if i'll find fairy wings recipe someday will give you a shout (without a charge of course; we are here to live our dreams and dreams cant be measured with infamy or influence). Hope Green Fairy is on Union. ^^

  20. And don't forget RAs. Especially Recovery one. Because even after Stamina you will find it usefull.

    You are right about Mind set, i can't leave a single power out unlike other Controller sets. Empath mind trollers more team dependent than my current one (Mind/Rad). On the higher levels you will face more robots, but luckily most robots vulnerable to confuse.
