  1. Both times are good for me too. Saturday's even better as we can make it to 19:00 - 24:00 BST and such.

I can make a new WP tanker or use Defiant's Psy-knight whose at level 4 still.
  2. Depending on the answers to other thread here is the starting step for Psychic Patrol themed team.

What's required to attent that team?

Make a hero with psychic abilities and spare a night for attending team. For each AT here is a breakdown:

    Blasters: Psychic Blast/anything OR Anything/Mental
    Controllers: Mind/anything OR Illisuon/Anything
    Defenders: Anything/Psychic Blast
    Scrappers: Anything/Willpower
    Tankers: Willpower/Anything

Team starts this week or next week depending how many people will we have. I am thinking about Wednesday for weekly gathering. From 19:00 to 22:00 BST .

Starting from very beginning will be good. If you want to join with a higher level hero we can ex them down.

Plesae drop your hero idea, if you're not available on Wednesday's what time you are available and what hours you can join. Like this:

Fire/Willpower Scrapper and both times are okay.

Hope to see you on Atlas at starting date and time.

    Cheers,
    Knightly
  3. Okay it seems like it is up to me than. So i am opening a new thread for that Psychic Patrol.
  4. First of all a billion thank you's to all. That was fun.

We failed??? We just gave it up if you ask me. We're so close to end and only two things were remaining, taking down flyer, yellow pillar, flyer and Lord's sorry butt. But we were weary and sleepy (at least me ) so we just gave up.

As a first timer in State's TF i can say it ain't that hard (except lag) but requires team work most than any other TF in game. It reminds me DDO raids where everyone must act as a team.

So we can try it again on a more reasonable hour where we can finish it with out thinking how soft our pillows are.
  5. Psy-knight is still 44. If he will make it to lvl 45 before starting time i will send you a tell, if not good luck to you all.
  6. Thanks for answers guys. So let's do it this way; post your interested regular team idea and available days. We will decide which day is the best for intended team.

PS: If you want to join Psychic Platoon it will be nice to hear what hero do you have in mind.

    Cheers,
    Knightly
  7. Where to begin???

Well as some of you noticed i started to play on Defiant server too. As a Unionite at birth i finally found a great idea to warm up with Defiant server. Making an alternate universe of my Psy-troops but "dang" someone has a heroine named Psy-Queen and here it goes to garbage.

Anyway, unluckily i found Defiant Atlas Park nearly deserted. I run around in Atlas and Kings for couple of hours and with each passing minute my feeling about being in a ghost city increased.

I usually start events in Union but i want to give some action to Defiant. After reading Carnifax's post, seeing Ice/Storm team in action on Union came together with my idea of a concept team and here i am.

If as a Defiant server player you think something like that is unnecessary, well then i think my play times didn't match with Defiant action hours. If not here's my ideas about concept teams.

    Idea 1:
    Psychic Patrol
As name states it is about heroes/heroines with psychic powers. With I12 all AT's have their share of mental abilities so any character with:

    Blaster: */Mental or Psy/*
Controller: Mind/* or Illusion/* for an extent
    Defender: */Psy
    Scrapper: */WP
    Tanker: WP/*

Team Goal: This team's reason to be is showing people of Paragon City that heroes can fight fire with fire. We, as team can overcome Rikti threat with mental powers. So team's first and most important goal will be reaching the Rikti War Zone and Lady Grey TF.

    Idea 2:
    New Midnighters
All about magical heroes to help in recovery of Midnight Club and revealing the mysteries behind Rikti and upcoming threats.

Goal: Becoming Midnight Club members and able to enter Imperious TF.

    Idea 3
    Alternate Dimension
If you are an Unionite and want to give your main hero another look, powers and different history here's your chance. My main on Union is a Mind/Rad/Fire troller, as Psy-knight discovered his Pyrokinetic abilities at the final stages of his carrier, in this alternate reality he is a Pyrokinetic who can fuel his body with his psychic abilities.

Goal: Just having fun and maybe a bit of role playing/passing stories.

That's all came to my mind for now. If you want to give it a try, sign up.

    Highest Regards

Freedom? Ain't that an US server??? Re-roll him/her on Union and we have a deal...

    [/ QUOTE ]

*goes and re-reads the first line of the first post*

    Dang!

Don't think I'll be rerolling on the EU servers though, not a team-dependant build like Plant/Emp

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmmm... i am thinking about something for a long time maybe i should ask people about it. *runs off to Defiant server part of the forums*
  9. Freedom? Ain't that an US server??? Re-roll him/her on Union and we have a deal...
  10. I am not an expert on Scrapper builds but getting Focused Accuracy ain't a thing to worth consider?

It is toggle but you have enough recovery back up with Willpower.
  11. As i don't want to get deep into discussion i only ask one thing:

Is gender change too much different than logging in with a female heroine while you hang around with team couple of hours as a male?

I am easy with any changes that only effects players' self heroes. We have heroes running around in nothing but briefs, or nearly naked (skin color/suit color match).

Only thing that came to my mind is about quoted part. Siphon Speed anyone? It can be gained on a Kinetic Defender at lvl 6 which is one level lower than Super Speed. I think you should not allow this power to be used. If this will be seen as cheating you better point that out.

    [/ QUOTE ]
This power should be fine, since the mobs on the bridge will be around lvl 15 and ur only lvl 6. So first you need it to hit, GL with that at lvl 6 on a +9, and even if it does hit your most likly gonna die from the agro, so yea GG

I will definitely be showing up at a few of these events, more the pvp ones then anything but ill be there

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't think of that. So better give up Kin defender idea.

    Skyway City Dash Of Doom!

    Date: July 13th
    Time: 6pm
Information: In skyway city heroes who are not above level 6 (note: Your allowed a pool power at that level so choose wisely, swift or stealth? ) get to take part in the race of doom. Players will start at a designated starting point on the overpass and have to RUN to the finishing line. Fastest player wins. However paragon police have stated that there has been a high number of clockwork/trolls/lost lately on the bridge and have warned skyway hospital that most heroes will NOT survive it. There will be a number of people watching over this event to make sure no cheating goes on, if it does . . . . your out. Peacebringers/warshades not allowed. All other powers are.

    Prizes:
    1st place = 100 million influence
    2nd place = 50 million influence
    3rd place = 25 million influence

First of all i have to say, well thought. All events look very fun to join.

Good luck in your events and hope to join at least some of them if i will be around.

    Your Blasters...

Okay first of all i have to admit if people ask me about the only AT i can't play in CoH, answer is a blaster. I see people having so much fun while playing one blasters are too chaotic for my taste.

Also as blasters are most popular AT and many people ask about rarest one here's our chance to point a place for them.

Only ones i can declare are:
    Sonic/Elec (lvl 20 deleted)
    Ice/Mental (lvl 16 and lvl 14 deleted)
  15. Scrappers next.

Even i don't have any success in Scrapping i have two at the moment.

    Fire/WP
    Claw/WP
  16. After Controllers and Tankers now it's time for my first love in this game; Defenders. Altho i don't have any significant defender i still love the sets.

    My only current one is:

    FF/Psi

But i also want to mention my other defenders which are deleted but i always consider when i think about making a defender,

    Rad/(Archery, Sonic, Psi, Elec)
    TA/Psi
  17. Ummm i think Psy-knight couldn't make it to level 45 in time. After all this time since the Monday all he gained is 1,5 bars. Yeah i know i suck at leveling.
  18. Knightly

    Your Tankers...

    As i found a better concept for my Defiant heroes i changed my heroes there. So now i have a little;

    WP/Stone
  19. Wooooooo!

    Amazing. Nice team work.
  20. Knightly

    Your Tankers...

    Hi Tankers Society,

After Controllers research, i decided to go with Tankers next. Other than interests i stated in Controllers thread, i can't see many Willpower tankers around. As i love that set i wonder how many willpower tankers around.

Thanks for your answers before hand.

    Knightly.

    Here's my tankers:

    WP/SS
WP/EM (but i think i will change it to WP/Fire, EM has annoying mind buzzing sound)
  21. [ QUOTE ]

Personally I've only ever seen one other Grav/Sonic but looking at this topic there's several others have them

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah this thread is amazing me. I thought there ain't much Mind controllers and none Fire/TA.

Thanks for replies guys, after enough pages i will collect the data and put it as Most Popular Primary, Most Popular Secondary, Most Popular Combo.

    Highest Regards,
    Knightly

EDIT: Maybe i should start threads for other ATs.
  22. After reading this thread once more i decided to make a research about most and least popular combos in EU servers.

It will be very limited research as there are many more people in game than forum users but at least we will have a nice idea about common controllers and people can look at this thread instead of asking what's the rarest controller.

    Okay i am starting:

    Mind/Rad
    Mind/TA
    Fire/Storm

Thanks for your replies before hand.
  23. I will look to the sloting a bit with your insights.

I have Chance of Psi Damage on Psy-Knight's Domination and when it hits it does more damage than Dominations pure damage. iirc 86 dmg on a hit versus Domination's 40ish damage.

Only doubt i have is if should i get Ice arrow or not. It's hold time pretty shorter than my main hold/sleep. If i use it for containment i already have Entangling Arrow. When soloing i have 3 useful methods of disabling enemies. Versus 3 enemies here is the tactic i use: Confuse one, hold the one he is attacking and sleep the other one then confuse that sleeping one too. Hold confused mob, sleep the held mob etc. As mind's mesmerize even sleep bosses with one hit i can't see any real use for Ice Arrow. If it works better against AVs that will be it's only use for me. Holding AVs with mind, especially in teams is a pain.

Also other than Psy-ranger being a concept toon i think TA works better with less controling primary like Illusion. Even their first tier powers have a good synergy: Entangling Arrow + Spectral Wounds = One hit kill. (or + blind for Lt.). I wish i wouldn't find Illusion boring. I can make a good controller with that set.
  24. Hmmm if i can take Psy-knight to level 45 i will gladly join you.

    He is a Mind/Rad/Fire Controller.
  25. Heh that explains my containment theory, Jamie.

My flash arrow has one slot which has a - To Hit Debuff on it.

I get Flash just for that situations Carnifax. The extra aggro was from large mobs near the ones we fighting (they couldn't aware of the fight till i shoot them with flash).

Other power i mentioned is Oil Slick and its flaming up issues. Anyway here's the build i had in mind after tonight's respec.

First some info about Psy-ranger. Austin Hawke was an ordinary southern boy since the day he kidnapped by Crey and used as a test subject. Crey scientists implanted neuro-ampfliers to his head which give him telepathic abilities. Luckily devices that used on Austin was only prototypes and when Psy-knight rescued him from a Crey facility, Crey's telepath army dreams failed for a long time.

After his rescue Psy-knight took Austin under his wing. Tried to teach this young man how to use his psychic abilities. During his time with Psy-knight and other Psy-troops Austin found a bow that belonged a deceased member of the old V6, Beloved of Apollo. He exercised countless hours to become a talented marksman. His relationship with Psy-knight grew close and once lost young guy found a friend, a mentor and more in him. He settled with his new family and adopted "Psy-ranger" identity to help them to fight against Crey and Rikti.

However even with Psy-knight's best efforts, Austin's powers hard to control. His telepathic abilities so raw that cause pain even with their gentlest use.
