Quote:Nope, I've got a Zotac card. Are you by any chance running the EVGA Precision tool or any of the other tools based off of the old Riva Tuner?
Those are known to cause problems when trying to change your graphics settings.
And I didn't install anything for it except the drivers from the nvidia website. WAY too many hardware companies these days pack in all kinds of garbage-ware along with the base drivers on their install discs these day. I don't trust them. -
Well, I'm still getting crashes.
I can open the costume window now, but when I try and adjust the graphics settings it locks-up and crashes CoH.
This is crazy, it was working fine a couple days ago. And I was able to tweak all my graphics settings to adjust the new card to a sweet spot for frames-per-second, and now it just dies inexplicably when I try and turn anything off or down.
I do turn my computer off during the day while I'm at work, so I know it's not a reboot problem. I may be just stuck wiping and reinstalling everything again... -
Quote:Just noticed that the posters that are having issues have a driver date of 7/9/2010 while I have a driver date of 6/7/2010. Wonder if you roll back a version if your issues will go away?
Unfortunately, driver versions prior to 7/9/2010 do not support my graphics card. Support for the GeForce GTX 460 was added in that version, which is also the latest version.
I just installed the video card last week, and have been running just fine until 9/28. I also did a fresh install of Windows 7 when I put it in, so I've got a clean up-to-date system with latest drivers.
I notice that Kheldarn also has that model card. And a couple of your guys not reporting the problem, are running some variant of 9800's. I don't know, but it might be significant.
I checked the patch notes, and there was no mention of graphical changes. And yet this patch seems to have borked something with ultramode graphics settings. -
I too am experiencing graphic problems due to today's patch.
I was able to play yesterday without problems, for several hours. Even did a Rikti Ship Raid.
Today though...
I crashed when opening the costume window, and crashed when trying to adjust any of the graphics settings.
I checked, and I HAVE the latest graphics drivers, haven't changed anything since yesterday, and have not installed anything new. Today's CoH update is the ONLY difference.

Does anyone know a way to make the mouse cursor bigger onscreen?
I have a large monitor and set my resolution rather high, which looks great and makes plenty of room to see everything with all the trays and windows open, But my mouse cursor has become ridiculously tiny. I have to flail my mouse around wildly and try to find it if there's much of a battle going on onscreen. It really sucks if I need to click something, like a door/elevator/glowie/specific-enemy, and I can't find my mouse to click it.
What I'd really love is for a way to make the cursor a couple of times bigger. 2-3 times normal size, nothing crazy.
Devs, if you're reading, Feature Request! A slider to change the cursor size in the controls or graphics options, Please?!? -
I have an alt that I haven't touched in almost 2 years, because I've been playing other AT's, but I've finally come back to them.
However, when looking to revise their costume at the tailor, I noticed that the toon's belt was missing. I looked through the list of available belt options, and unless I'm mistaken there are several fewer choices then there used to be.
Most importantly, the belt that that my character currently wears is missing from the list. There is not an alternative name for it or anything, it is just gone from the tailor and the game. I even tried making a new toon, and could not find it.
Belt in question
Other costume options that have disappeared before have been renamed, replaced with similar items, or placed in a different body slot. But this belt is just no longer available at all.
Until it reappears in game in some way, I can't alter or redo my characters costume, or it will disappear permanently.
Help/ Suggestions?!?
