MARTy, to my knowledge, does not trample on any Civil Liberties. The Devs have and have always had the right to change their software so that it limits xp gain to 1xp/hr if they want. Also, to the point, they are making an announcement and not hiding it.
The new EULA, to my understanding (IANAL) does not give NCSoft any rights they did not previously have (or any rights, period, for that matter): they have always had the right to terminate your service for any reason or no reason. -
Soon Galaxy City will be a thing of the Ouroboros!
So let's all roll/grab newbies, head down there, and party like it's 1999!
(Probably mostly by mamboing on the heads of villainous street gangers)
Woo Hoo! -
I will miss Galaxy City, but I feel it's sacrifice was not in vain.
The roleplayer in me feels really bad for Back Alley Brawler, though. -
To sum up:
Death Badger wants to be able to buy permanent access to Incarnate Content as a Premium player.
I see no problem with him requesting this.
I'm sure the coming weeks will give the Devs data they will be able to use to determine whether to honor that request.
I think that covers it. -
What I want is a system where I can search for a player's name and see what arcs they rated 5 stars (or replace the star rating with a simple 'recommended or not' system).
Then I can gradually build my own list of arcs I play based on players I know to have similar tastes.
In addition, I agree with the idea of being able to tag AE arcs I create as 'story' or 'rewards' missions. The farmers can then search for 'rewards' missions and play those, while I search for 'story' missions and play those. -
Regardless of how you may feel about Freedom in comparison to other games, it is a gigantic improvement over the current situation.
And if sales indicate changes to the model are necessary for the health of the game, you can bet changes to the model will happen.
This thread indicates a couple things to me:
1) NCSoft may want to consider allowing Free players to reply to tells.
2) They may also want to create specfic Free and Premium channels to distribute some of the spam that will otherwise flood Help. -
Quote:I do not beleive anyone has said this.Everyone who states that Premium players would get everything that VIP players get and never have to subscribe
Quote:To create a more constant stream of revenue from premium they could make incarnate access purchasable per character and charge for access to each raid.
Quote:This would encourage them to produce new content that both Premium and VIPs could access. As it stands Premium players who want to stay Premium could be discouraged if they are constantly developing content for subscribers, and subscribers could be discouraged if they aren't developing content for subscribers. -
/em salute
I remember turning on every tv in the house, hoping against hope that it wasn't on every channel, that it was some sort of show. Then that it was some sort of hoax. Then that it was some sort of accident.
911, indeed.
My encouragement to all of the survivors. Which is all of us in this country and beyond. -

There is no way to change builds with a bind. You can only change builds at a trainer.
Also: Curses! Hmm, do I want to crusade for a build switch power? -
Thanks!
I seem to have missed out on Cyborg and Animal, plus the Going Rogue extra stuff.
My one real sadness is that I appear to have missed out on the Facepalm emote<tries to facepalm, but fails>. -

City of Heroes, of course (assuming that no harm comes to anything but human dignity)!
Barring that, I've always wanted to do a variant of Live Chess where the player tell which piece to move, but that piece gets to decide HOW it moves.
Let's see how chess works with all of the pieces trying to preserve their own lives, heh. -
Quote:Meant to get the critter pack, but just delayed too long waffling over 'wasting money on a PC game' when I need car repairs.Nope, you can see how many "perks" you bought maybe, but that's as detailed as it gets (from the accounts page).
You should be able to tell once the in-game market goes live though.
Also... I can't believe you didn't get the Animal Pack with its 9-Tail option.......
(I kid, I kid!!) -
1: Costume changes that include a phrase spoken in local.
2: Build/costume switch as above; I want something of an "Incarnate Mode" switch kind of like going (dare I say it) Super Saiyan.
Please? -
Okay; just making sure I wasn't somehow missing it!

Quote:Correct with the deducing. Can you list the ones you have and see if we can't fill in the blanks, or are you talking about deducing what you have from your PlayNC account page?
I'm pretty sure I haven't bought the Furry, er Animal Pack.
I definitely have Steampunk and several of the older ones, but I'm just not sure (and maybe the point is moot if they were removed pending Freedom).
"Billing Summary" Only goes back 3 months.
"Game Accounts" Just lists the accounts themselves, not goodies bought and applied. -
I'm not sure, and I'm having trouble finding them in the NCSoft store.
-
People just need to put "uses Knockback" in their bios and LFG quotes.
...only slightly kidding. -
Those look seriously sweet, Sam. Sorry about the threadjack, folks! Shutting up now...

There is something wrong with a superhero playerbase that hates knockback
One of my favorite things in any superhero comic, movie, or game is seeing enemies get knocked back. If only in this game they divoted walls and sent allies tumbling when they hit them.
By the way, just this week, I got my first 50... and energy/energy Blaster.
...I think that supports both sides of the argument -
