Just one question about the rules, and I'm not trying to whine here.. but can you elaborate as to why Monkey cage, Caves, and office map are not allowed? I understand that these maps put many "squishies" at a disadvantage, however in the same regard, the other maps put meele fighters at a disadvantage, would it not be more fair to allow all maps regardless? I believe that many meeles have been looked down at simply because the maps which are not popular happen to give hand to hand combatants a stronger chance of being effective, just my two cents.

And of course I'm posting this because our team is all meele. lol

Actually several reasons why those maps are not allowed.

First, some of those maps experience major bugs and exploits that will unbalance the pvp exoerience and the competition by those teams that know how to exploit them. For instance, in the monkey cage you can be held or TK'd in certain areas behind lights or caging that stops you from getting unstuck. Thus leading to easy farming in those situations.

Melee toons on those maps would actually be the MOST disadvantaged due to TKing and what storm teams could do to them.

The other maps are also easy to exploit in terms of strategy. On smaller maps, storm teams will easily shut down teh competition to the point where its almost pointless. There are other reasons as well and I know some of the other PvPEC members and ladder experts can prob cite more.

Oh but King likes the monkey cage, his pet scrapper puts caltrops on the pool tables and tp foes people into the little gap between them there with the red rope blocking one side and thier whole team blocking the otherside so the only way you can possibly get out is by phasing or tping yourself away.

Dont see why they should disallow them unless the buffs are strong enough to make a noticable impact.
And if they are then just kill the pet.
