Quote:Hey, they have to look better than just recycling mob models. I mean, first time I walked into the D I started pounding 1 and wondering why I couldn't hit that.*The question should be, does the NPC look good, or does it look like the Merit Vendors, when it comes to outfits?
* I am terrible at jokes. I am so, so very sorry... -
That is a very strange but intriguing idea. Hm, they did lower the necessary level to 20... which is the same level you need for leaving Praetoria, if I recall right... Maybe A Praetorian police officer? Or one of the Syndicate. Or... or...
Oh dear, I've gone cross-eyed. -
As it's been said, adding NPCs to an area is an entirely different animal then fixing physics issues. "Slap in the face"? No. A little disheartening? Yeah.
Sure, I'd love to see a fix to enemies getting stuck in walls and my character getting hung up between scenery and a wall on certain maps, but it doesn't upset me that much. The bugs aren't game breaking and they don't show up often. They're just an annoyance, which, being an MMO, there are plenty of. =P
Now, another good question would be: What's the better idea, having the seasoned professionals poke around the code until they can figure out a decent fix quietly or making a big deal about how they're putting a huge effort into fixing it... even if a fix may take many, many updates before anything comes of it? Personally, the current situation sits better with me. -

Also, don't tell anyone you're 'just here for the badges'. I had a guy following me around (me exclusively) just to kill me.

It makes sense to host the contest in Galaxy or Atlas. Both have fairly open, large areas for everyone to gather without having to put up with mooks harassing everybody.

Quote:I've been distracted by assorted real-world troubles. Testing out medications, dealing with a short illness, updating all my software and running a Mutants & Masterminds campaign.Awesome!
We've still got a few people that aren't in the "RP Events" in-game channel. If you're going to join or be part of the event, please join the RP Events channel next chance you get!
But after tonight I'm free! (Well, not on fridays, but meh.) -

Quote:Must have been.Must have been a glitch because the level restriction to enter has been lifted. Only thing left is a level restriction to get vanguard merits or talk to the contacts.
And I haven't been able to check again because I've been downloading updates for... pretty much all the software I have. -

Quote:Strange. Just last week I tried going to the war zone with my (at the time) level 23 alt. Considering I didn't get in...For sure -- that was revamped several issues ago, I THINK with the addition of the AE to the Warzone. I've brought level 1 characters to the RWZ for that matter! It's a pretty neat addition.
Eh, I'll check next time I'm on. This is strange. -

Quote:From what I've seen, Siren's Call tends to be pretty empty. I'm pretty sure the most players I've seen in there at any given time has been three. With one of them being me.#2 -- RP location: Obviously we need an open location so that everyone can access the hotspots for RP. Ergo, we need to get into a co-op zone. Due to the iffy-ness on how rigidly placed the "no fighting" rule is in Pocket D and the fact that we're probably going to get swamped if we go there, my heart is pretty set on the Rikti Warzone, but if anyone has a better suggestion (maybe roll RP-specific alts and head to a certain zone in the City, Isles, or Praetoria?) please let us hear it!
Just a suggestion.
Edit: If I'm not mistaken, Siren's Call also has a slightly lower minimum level than RWZ. -

Well, I'm excited about it. What really stands out to me is the Leagues. Depending on how they're implemented it could make ship raids a lot easier without having to make a special channel for team leaders for coordination. It also shows promise for organizing big roleplaying events.
Really, it depends on what content will be compatible with them. Maybe an increase in maximum arena match sizes or TFs that allow up to 16 players or something. It's all conjecture at this point, though. Heh, not that I matters too much to mean. Last time I joined a ship raid my computer nearly melted and I spent the last few minutes of it unable to do anything.
But still, possibilities. I like possibilities. -
Not a problem for Pallid. You better not mention them, though. God only knows how'd she react to someone trying to chain her up. Probably poorly. Though it's unclear whether it would be a contained maul-just-a-couple-people poorly or a rampaging HULK SMASH massacre.

Quote:Yeah, but are they 'bite a chunk out of a guy and chew it until you don't like the taste' loony? On their first team mission?Come now sugar, everyone in this universe is a bit loony.
Plus the only reason she's Resistance is because they get to cause wanton chaos. 'Revenge' is her only motivation beyond instinct. Heck, she one attacked a protest and helped the Seers, not realizing she was until after the fight.
She really needs someone to hold her leash... Preferably someone who's Invulnerable, since, y'know, anyone in close proximity is going to get gibbed otherwise. -
If you get all that on video (probably from the security system), I will pay your dry cleaning fees.

And the real irony here is that I bought the animal pack and haven't used any of the costume pieces yet. The real selling point for me was the Beast Run power, since the animation really fits one of my (human but with a tail) characters: She's got roughly the same instinctual drive as a (really pissed off) animal. She runs around on all fours, she fights like a cornered raccoon and has zero problem taking a bite out of crime. And law, in fact. She's a very disturbed person...

Quote:I wouldn't be so sure. A Dwarf can take some serious damage if slotted right.Warshade: Try to shapeshift out if that doesnt work bash out and most likely die)
...Unless you're a human or Nova build, in which case yes, you will likely die horribly. (Though maybe get lucky with the human build, if you slotted their toggles.) -

Just for fun, let's assume you capture Keysmith. Rather than just port out of there, she'll take her capture as a personal insult (How dare you try to lock up the woman that can go anywhere? Foolish!) and instead 'port the explosives to other areas of your complex while remaining in her cell.
If you or your minions come to check on their prisoner she will swap places with you (or just any minion if you aren't present) then take off. Maybe poke around for a vault or valuable tech she can pilfer.
If you and your minions are too busy investigating the explosions then she'll get bored and leave without locking you up. Though she'll probably still try to take your stuff. Maybe leave a little present behind. Like a bomb in your personal quarters. Depends how she feels that day. Maybe she'll just install AOL on all of the computers in your security system. -
...Everybody has such great ideas, but... No, I still like the punch stuff and cause explosions approach.
