My personal opinion...


Start out with a fully manual film camera.


You heard me right. No digital, no auto anything. This way you learn exactly how everything works. THEN you can upgrade to something with bells and whistles.

Yes, it can be a pain, but learning the basics of how to do anything is well worth the effort.

I'm hoping for this textures thing to enable us to do exactly what we want with floors instead of using desks. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

That and real water effects.

But I will say that in having to be creative to make what we do, there have been some amazing instances of sheer genius I've seen.

Wish I could but I can't play to farm enough this week. Ahh well.

It was a blast and I want to thank everyone who showed up.

Thanks for the advice. I tried that, still no go, so I started deleting piece by piece in the room until it worked. Spent the rest of my time replacing the deleted items, but all is good, now!

I can't get a section of my floor to lower. I've made certain there is nothing on the floor.

There is nothing around the floor area

I went through every object in inventory in the room and verified there is nothing "hidden" in the floor.

I don't get it. Any ideas?

Under the lighting tab, Bonfire, placed beneath the floor.

I'm going to try VERY hard to make it. I may be a little late, depending on if I can get the hubby to watch the kids.

My top items in no discernible order:

1) Real water effects.
2) Fountains.
3) More tech and sewer items, especially catwalks and walkways, bridges, and balconies.
4) Wallpapers you can apply to the floor tiles so you can change the appearance (no more just grid option unless you stack a lot of desks on it).
5) Parquet, wall-to-wall carpet, and slimy stone floor pattern options.
6) Ceiling fans. With and without lights.
7) Real beds. Beds without restraining straps. Medical beds. Bunk beds. Barrack-style bunk beds. Comfy Queen/King-sized beds and various headboard options.
8) Circular stairs, wooden and wrought iron.
9) Torches that aren't hands.
10) Fireplaces.

Yup. Luckily we were *just* able to end our mission, but still...

Wow, thanks for the videos (and I rarely go to YouTube). I'm just learning base building (and becoming addicted) and the last one really helped me get one thing done I wanted to do.

Now I need to completely redo an entire room.
