Quote:Right, Nemesis == Sheild Breaker. Thankfully, I don't know of any Nemesis Farms blueside...If your bringing your brute over to blue-side to farm, then comparing SS/FA and SS/SD comes down to your budget in my opinion. As magikwand stated /SD's weakness is the fact that a slight raise in +ToHit such as Nemesis tears /SD apart. Another thing, it's somewhat tricky but achievable to softcap an /SD brute and go a little over for safety. It can be done, mine has it but it was a bloody nuisance to get it there.
Quote:- BM Farm: SS/SD should rip through them.
- Demon Farm: SS/SD same again, they have a small resistance to fire but you have a capped res to fire too.
- Council: I say SS/SD again.
Quote:Reason being, I find SS/SD much more easier to farm with than SS/FA because it's safer. If your farming +4's with /FA on a brute, it won't be hard for an alpha hit to wipe you, especially if for example a BM boss or Council boss melees you. However having said that, you can ensure that /FA will keep your 'Fury' bar pumping, /SD you just need to keep mashing out the attacks.
If your not going with set bonuses, obviously go with SS/FA, but bonuses included I'd advise SS/SD. If you make your SS/SD correctly, you won't have a problem with end. Even if you do you can always respec into the AAP: Power Mastery for the +recovery when GR releases. Foot Stomp with FF proc is more than enough an AoE imo.
It depends on your definition of nerf'd, I think. IIRC, the rewards were lowered some, but to me, that doesn't matter. If I can tear through them fast enough, I doubt I'd notice a difference...
Quote:And last I heard FM/SD for a scrapper is a big bank buster.Hmm... thanks for the tip... Guess I'll be doing Claws/WP. At least, until I can afford a FM/SD...
Thanks for the input, all.
One last question: Which one is most viable for Farmin' The Wall in Cim? -
You must have clicked them wrong. Try this link.
-
From your PlayNC Master Account, click the Support link near the upper-right corner of the page, and file a ticket. When the Support page comes up, click the Ask A Question tab in the middle.
Use the Question field to let them know about the problem. After you're done, you should get an automated reply about check these links blah blah blah. They're useless for this situation, because the Vet Reward Awarding System is broken. Eventually, someone will look over your account, and determine that you should have recieved the 9 months reward, and manually award it to you.
Make sure you have an up to date, valid e-mail address listed in your PlayNC Master Account (log in to your PlayNC Master Account, click on Account Profile on the right, then click on the UPDATE CONTACT INFORMATION link on the right hand side of the area in white). -
Quote:Correct. The server that has been labeled on the Server Select Screen as Training Room is in reality Training Room 02, and has been since around the time of the Dual Pistols Closed Beta, and maybe as far back as the testing of the 2009 Winter Event. The server that is labeled Training Room 02 on the Server Select Screen is in reality TrainingPool.[edit2: my temporary theory is that the shards are mislabeled on test : I think test 1 was showing up at Test Server 2]
You can verify this by the following facts:
1) Unlocked character slots were re-locked, and couldn't be re-unlocked without first having 11 or less characters on the server listed as Training Room. This is because Training Room 02 was wiped, and then Training Room 01 was copied to it. Unlocks apparently don't copy, though ocupied/used unlocked slots keep the character in them.
2) When looking at your Global Friends List, anyone who is online will have Training Room 02 listed as their Shard. The internal name for the server was never changed.
3) When you use a Server Transfer to move a character to Training Room 02, the server name will be listed as TrainingPool. -
Note to Villain Self: If VexXxa is headed your way, RUN the other way!!

The Badge info is already in the database, just waiting for I17 to go Live:

I hope Open Beta starts soon. I'm tired of being in Closed Beta...
-
Looks like I'm gonna be double fisting it...
-
So, what you're saying, then, is make both?
I'll do it... I will!!
-
-
Heh. Figures.
So, then, when compared via Sets, which one is the better choice? -
You have hunger pains from the infestation devouring your intestinal lining and making transdimensional interfaces into visual companions while enjoying pickles soaked in prune extract overnight betwixt thousands upon thousands of gleaming spectacles vomiting extremely vile copious bile onto unsuspecting sentient cockroaches, which oddly feels like a hot roast beef/salmon

Well, there's always the possibility that by the time I get them to 50, I'll be in a position to Set IO them out...
So, if that's what it's going to take to get a decent farming build, I guess I'd make sure I start saving... -
Come July, when Going Rogue comes out, I plan to make both a Scrapper and a Brute whom I will run the gamut with, taking them to the opposite side, and unleashing carnage as I go.
I've narrowed it down to either Claws/WP or Fire/SD for the Scrapper (and leaning towards Fire/SD). For the Brute, I know I wanna do SS as the Primary. However, I'm not sure if I should pair it with /FA or /SD. I've heard that both are excellent for farming, but that's also for farming redside...
At this point, I'm planning to use the Brute to farm blueside. Sure, I could make a SD/ or FA/ Tanker with SS, but I've been jonesing to take a Brute to Paragon ever since I got my SS/WP to 50, before GR was more than just another thing on our wishlist, like Power Customization...
So, which Secondary would I benefit the most from when farming the standard Hero Farms (Council, Freakshow, Demons, etc.)? /FA or /SD? I'm mainly interested in which will perform better with Common IOs at 50... -

Whoa!! That's freakin AWESWEETASTIC!!
Congratulations!! -
Quote:Made it a little less confusing. When I first read your post, I was like, "Umm... it seems to pick random colors, so that won't work...". Then I realized you meant the file that you save.Just roll a hero with electirc powers and open the power custimization file to see what color it is using. Then use the same one on your brute (if available).
