  1. When he was awake earlier, I did mention the outpouring of love and thoughts from everyone, including the CoH community. I even mentioned the Sat Mat named after him, and he asked what it was called. Upon telling him, he smiled, and threw up the rock n' roll horns. \m/^_^\m/ he was really happy about it, even though he won't probably remember, and need to be reminded, his first instinct was how awesome it was.

Put me down as an alt, because if he's still as knocked out and out of it, I might MIGHT log in and play around some. And I'd be on Nuke'ler Vepon a rad/kin Corr.

Minor setback today as he was rowdy enough to pull the drain tube out of his head... -_-;; so they have him sedated quite heavily for the next couple of days. He did NOT do any damage to himself however, and the doctors are still very optimistic. He's just a PIA patient.

Little update as I can... he's doing better... and rowdy as ever... fighting the IVs and such every time he comes even a little outta sedation.

I'm very lucky that Arwen's family is letting me stay with him overnight, so I'm feeding info as it comes. And as she said, the doctors are all very optimistic about everything.
  4. Missi.... you just made me cry.... again.... ::glaces behind her at Phantom:: He's doing better slowly... he's a feisty one... can't keep him down for long....
  5. This goes double for everything that happened Tuesday... Hope everyone is okay... :-\
  6. Phantom Enigma/Wit's Razor-

I love to fight alongside you, my Katana glinting in your electric light. I hope to do so for a long time to come, defeating all who stand in our path. <3 Life is much brighter with you by my side, and I'm so grateful to have met you.

  7. Thanks for all the Birthday wishes! I had a great day off work, just relaxing, reading... some CoH, and computer part window shopping.
  8. Well, not exactally sure what happened...

I finally got tired of it all and went to go to uninstall it, only to have it say that something (I think Norton, which was not running at the time) was using the files. This had me very confused, so I restarted my computer, deleted the temp file, the patch file, and for good measure (and on TJs recommendation), the checksum file. Re-copy and pasted the uploader to the desktop, again for good mesasure, and started it up.

It went through the checksum, then proceeded to *fix* over half the files in the game, taking close to an hour... though, when it was done, it worked.

Still not sure what happened, but happy it's working now.
  9. Tried both... nothing yet. Still the same error message...
  10. This might be a few days off, but I haven't logged into game in a couple of days either.

Went to log in, and noticed that the updater downloaded a patch... no big deal, it was tiny.

When it went to the second step (applying the patch), it was stuck on the "infinite" time to apply the patch... moving the top updater screen showed me the error message that had popped up.

(I'm running Win7 on a laptop. Norton is installed, and has never had any issues with City before, and I'm running the game as an Admin on the system. If more info is needed I shall get it when needed)

The Error message is as follows:

    Quote:
    failed to rename C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.exe to C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.old
    Some help please?
  11. Merry Christmas, everyone that celebrates it! Hope it's going well!

I'll probably log in shortly and be good for about an hour or so before people start showing up. :-)

  14. TOO cute! ^_^ Sorry I had to miss the antics since I was helping Dad an Guill make it there! ^_^
  15. Gratz Mekk!

  16. I whole-heartedly agree with Phantom. I'm home, but sad to be here and away from the awesomeness that was a glorious Justice-filled weekend. ::tackle-huggles everyone::

Yeah, it was the big surgery, no laprascope for me. Haven't really had much pain luckily, except when I try to get up from laying down flat and that's mostly resolved now that I'm at home and able to sleep in my recliner again. It was mostly the raising and twisting at the same time that was getting to me.

10 pound weight lifting limit won't come close to being touched if I can help it. Luggage has wheels, I'll just be paying/begging for the lifting help. I'm carrying nothing on the plane but me, so no worries about the overhead bin and will be checking my luggage at the curb (if it's available in Austin) or having one of the Continental people lift it when I check in if my sister doesn't insist on coming in that far with me just to handle the luggage (very possible).

I'll have fun with the security anyway, with the extra metal it may take me longer to get in and out. Unless they accept the note from the doctor and do one check on me then wave me through the other lines.

When I mess things up, I do it big. My biggest worry Friday was that I was going to knock myself out of the trip. Yeah, I know that shouldn't have been my biggest concern at the time, but it was anyway.

    I gotta get a life.
You take care of yourself, and I have the driving taken care of. The only time I won't is from the airport to the hotel since it looks like my Uncle is taking me from the airport to go have lunch before meeting back up with everyone at the hotel.

Be careful you, and I hope to see you Friday morning!
  18. I'll join a team! Whomever wants me! lol
  19. Awwwwww! I'm so sorry to hear that! Hope his last days are peaceful and full of lots of love!

So rg, please disregard my earlier disregard and please add two more to the list!

Also, we'll be driving from sac and can offer carpooling for 2-3 people (depending on how cozy folks can get).
    SQUEEEE!!! Awesome news!!
