My two favorite pieces of Star Trek music ever, and some seriously awesome CGI treatment of my favorite version of the Starship Enterprise.

  4. I'd have posted it in a "General Chatter" forum, so everyone can see it, but there isn't one. Maybe it's Virtue? Anyway, tell 'em Hardcover sent ya...

You done with desert duty Kant?
Almost exactly like that, in point of fact.

And yes, I'm pretty well done with deserts. In fact, I'm back home in Michigan now. Woo Michigan!

    Windows Vista...

    Switch back to XP?

Well, you asked. But in all seriousness, about the only thing I can think of, not having much experience with Vista myself, is to go through and turn off as many of the extra shiny graphical options that Vista comes with - IMHO, it's enough of a resource hog without them. Personally, I'm sticking with XP until after Windows 7 Service Pack 1, at the earliest. (Of course, when that happens and I pick up Windows 7, there's a chance I'll end up making the jump to a 64-bit processor, but that's neither here nor there.)
  7. Two words: Mothership raid.
  8. Blarg. One of my cats heard me rolling over at about 0530 and decided that that must mean I was awake and available to feed them, as the first thing I remember this morning was thump-thump.... "mwrp?" and opening my eyes to see a fuzzy face a couple inches from mine.

Really need to get a fan for my room - I'm just not used to this humidity after four years in various deserts.

    Sorah is back!

(Nah, he's not being serious, either. He just likes playing up the campy supervillian schtick, and I have fun playing off of him. Matter of fact, he and I did that a lot a while back - I think I was his arch-nemesis at one point, even. )

    Sorah is back!

Time to open up the ol' anti-Logan kit. Sorah, since this is your thread, you get first picks.

  11. Gah! Git ye over to the RWZ, Sorah! (My highest villian is 11. :-P )
  12. Pics or it didn't happen, Stryph. :-P

Now, you've forced me to unleash one of my ultimate weapons!

  13. If you're in the RWZ, lemme know. Modern would be more than willing to beat up on some Rikti with you.

    Sorah is back!

Bah. You see her all the time on DA, Bayani.

Wait, so do I. Stupid logic. :-P
  15. I'm with Fedor. This cannot end well.

    ...

    I'll get the popcorn.

    Sorah is back!

I've got your back, Fey. I even busted out the GameCube and played Rogue Squadron this afternoon, so I'm all practiced up with recent combat hours in my X-wing.

    Also, Sorah!!
  17. Outstanding. When I get on tomorrow I'll /gfriend you guys to see when you're on so we can knock this sucker out. Also, if there's a good time (like this weekend) that we can meet up, I can make it happen. Absolutely any time is good for me this weekend - biggest thing I have going is I need to do laundry.
  18. Okay, I should note here that I suck at putting together groups. I honestly don't like the process, but damned if I can figure out a better way. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good group as much as the next guy, but recruiting for one? Forget it.

Anyway, I figured if I was going to do this, I might as well try and snag up some folks I know as much as I know anyone in this game, and so I come to you, the fine denizens of the Virtue forum.

My hero main, Modern Samurai, has worked his way through the "Saving a Soul" Carnie arc on his own, pretty much to the end. However, his one weakness is psionics. As a katana/regen scrapper, he has no psi attacks, and little defense against it. So the third appearance of the Madame of Mystery in that arc is a formidable challenge for him. Despite multiple attempts, for whatever reason, I can't get Modern to do more than budge her health bar. And she just stomps him good. Granted, Modern takes a lot of stomping, for a scrapper, but she can dish it.

So, before I put a fist through my screen in frustration (especially bad idea, as I use the very same screen for my computer as for my TV and Xbox 360) I decided to recruit help. Modern's low-to-mid 44, the mission is level 43 or 44, and I'm looking to set up a date to do this. I don't have any particular requirements as to when, though obviously the evening is preferable during the week. I don't demand a full team of eight - even if there are only one or two more interested parties I'm willing to make a go of it. It's just that this time, I think even Modern, the epitome of crazed scrapperhood that he is, would admit that the situation calls for some backup.

    So... any takers?
  19. /me wanders in, grumbling.

Computer still refuses to connect to the internet. I think I know what the problem is, I just can't seem to fix it. *shakes a fist in ineffectual rage* Hopefully when I go drop off the computer at this place my dad swears by, they'll listen to my griping, nod sagely, say they know what the problem is, and they'll have it fixed by Monday morning.
