  1. I had a similar problem earlier this week; all I did was load the game on another machine, then copied the COH updater over to my game machine. Worked like a charm. Thank Mkosc82 if it works, I stole the idea from him.
  2. Yeah...I knew that...honest....<cough><cough>. Ah well, I like to make people laugh. Anyways, turns out copying the Updater from another machine fixed (or at least bypassed) the problem.
  3. BY JOVE! It worked! So it looks like the problem was in the updater all along. I loaded CoH to a 2nd computer like you did, and transfered just the updater to this one. Works like a charm. I'll name my first born male child after you for this!
  4. Did as you suggested, game client still unable to connect to log in. Ah well, guess on Monday I'll shoot off a question to Cryptic, see if they can figure it out. Thanks anyways.

  6. Updated Vista to SP2 and updated vid card drivers. Nada happened. On the plus side...at least I'm able to catch up on my comic books.....
  7. Are you getting a message after inputting your password that says the game client can't connect to the login server? I've been getting that since yesterday afternoon. Getting verrrrry annoying. I'm on the East Coast also, Virginia. Could that have something to do with it (he wondered, ominousely...).
  8. Not to much information to give. Double click COH icon; it loads up normally to the password screen. Type password, and I get a message that the game client can not connect to the login server and that the server may be down or my firewall may be blocking it; neither of which is true. I haven't done anything to my computer in months and was playing normally this morning. Here is CoH helper info, if that helps anything.

  9. Last few hours I get as far as the log in screen, type in password, then several seconds later get a pop up that I can't log on. Worked ok this morning and I've done nothing to my system today. Using windows vista. Any ideas?

    Public Banter?

So, does your soda themed crimefighter have nuclear powers? Sounds like he'd use nuclear Fizzing to pop the bad guys upside the head....
  11. Kamui_NA

    Public Banter?

I recently came back after a couple year sabatical and one thing I've noticed is there doesn't seem to be any more banter on virtue. Once upon a time the broadcast channel would be full of the likes of Ascendant, or KillerWhale, or Kamui (cough cough) making quips and generally just bantering back and forth. Heck, who else remembers Ascendant and his telephone calls! Nowadays, though, when I'm on it's dead air. Or people LFGing. Although I HAVE seen some people role playing in broadcast (which is nice since this is the RP server afterall, even if unofficially) not to much witty banter. So c'mon folks! Lighten up!
