Yup, this seems to be a repeating theme for some - either taking money and not doing anytng... or simply taking years to get it done.
YEARS!
MONTHS!!
Come on, this just doesn't make sense to me. Why even take any money until you've started on the piece? -
Maybe in about 10 years - it seems I've aged him a bit. lol
-
and I had been kind of telling them to hold off for a bit.
But anyways, HERE is me opening up my store again.
Hope that's good news for some. -

We have those "mannikins" Juggertha, they were about $20 each and are pretty could if you light them a certain way, you can get decent shadows... They're better than the old wooden kind. I'm thinking you want one of those beefed up collector toys... you may wanna check Toys R US if they have the equivalent in Korea.

Yeah, all I'd really like is one male and one female collector posable figure.
Kind of like these, but the bigger the better. -

Other than those wooden posable mannequin deals, the only ones I've ever seen that were anywhere lcose were actually the super posable action figures....some have a number of anrtculation points, like a Spiderman with over 30, etc.
Not sure if that's what you're looking for or not...
[/ QUOTE ]
Yup, got any links for them?

This is something I've found in my searchings.

VERY close to what I'm looking for. -
Does anyone know of any cool posable large detail figures? I've seen the mannequins, but I'm looking for something more... super.
-
Agreed, but that's a little different of an area than I'm used to.
Is that the print/products through DA? I've never used it before and am not sure on how they are processed. -
Ok all, I'm running yet another contest. This one though is personal (well, for me anyway).
I'm putting up for grabs $100 for the first place, and $25 for the second, for whomsoever can give me the best, rip-roarin' picture of my pet project Captain Corea.
All are welcome to enter, but just a few rules..
-Remember, he's a patriotic KOREAN hero.
-All submissions need to be emailed to me at efoychuk@hotmail.com and titled "Captain Corea Contest"
-All submissions are due by March 31st.
((Just an FYI, I will be picking first place, while my <Korean> wife will be picking second)) -

As someone who has tried many a time to run contests on this forum - I wish you good luck Snow.

Thanks, that means a lot!
As it is, I think I'll have to modify the idea.
I am seeing that some either don't have the time, inclination, or the background to do this.
I am hesitant to run a parallel "theme a month" just for the scoop because I don't want to take away from your contest. I think that would be rude.
So looking at the idea again, I am pretty sure that I could come up with an illustration on a monthly (or so) basis. So it might end up as "here is my take on X art style" and if people wanted to respond by posting theirs then those could be considered for inclusion in the Scoop.

I find the best way to get people involved is to offer prizes. barring that, it's got to be an organized show.
I've offered cash/commissions i the past to previous contest winners, and I know that Speedy was really successful with his contests for his characters.
Without any major incentive, you have to play on people's interests... and there in lies the difficulty. -
I'll be stepping back into that soon enough.

The immunity thing just means he can't get voted out of the competition, Tricky can still win this month's challenge, and get immunity for next month, but if he was a bottom scorer, he won't be out of here.
At least, that's the way it works on Project Runway...not that I watch the show...my wife does.... <.<

Pretty close to th mark on that one - but the voting might be a tad different next month.

I have to ask, did my entry for January spawn this idea?

Ok all, my wife was nice and let me play on the comp today, so here's my entry for this month:
Kickin' things off with Ghost Widower

well so much for drawing up a male version of ghost. Besides juggy, your version is way better than the one i was thinking of.
guess i'll just have to fall back to plan "b"... after i figure out what that means.
nicely done.

ha, I've heard from a few people that I've 'stolen' GW. Ah well, that'll just make you all get creative. -

Ok all, voting is CLOSED.
I want to thank everyone for their input, and for all the great comments. There was a lot of effort put in for this month, so cheering fans are always appreciated.
That being said, there's gotta' be a winner for this month...
And this month's winner is - Tacky Tricky (and he carries with him immunity for the next round - provided he submits a piece)
Grats man! -
^^^ Woops, must have missed that - my bad.
Ok, I don't think you guys have used The Cerulean Legion Wallpaper I did up. -
Ok, it's close all... and there are a few hours left.
So get out the vote! -

Well since Arctic's link is broken and I can't find his deviant site, I'll log a vote for Projectionist based on the criteria of the OP.

Wow, wonder where it went. -
Yeah, I think you guys basically have the idea.
