So I downloaded a US trial because I was told the European servers are pretty much empty. And now I'm thinking of purchasing the game. Steam has a sale right now with a good price. Thing is, I live in the Europe. If I buy the steam version, does that mean I can only play on European versions? I'm guessing that the steam version when buying from the UK is a European version see. But does that matter or how does that work? Do I have to try and get an activation code from a US version or does any version work since I've got a US trial version?

Actually now I can't log on to the game :P My password/login seems to not work now. I even changed it and tried again but nope, not working.

Seems to have worked wonderfully. Thanks!

Heya. Couldn't find a technical forum at first so I posted in the wrong forum, so just copying from that thread cause I got some answers.
I downloaded the trial version and ran it once, worked fine so I turned it off to finish what I was doing at the time. When I try to run it again it tells me I need to run the game through the updater. Fair enough, WoW does the same thing. So I do so and it starts to download the game again. 3,1gb once more. What's going on here? I can only play it after I've gone through the download process again and again? Any advice is appreciated, looking forward to trying the game but this kind of stuff is annoying.
It's downloading at the same speed as it was the first time (and normally does based on this connection). So it seems as it it's downloading the entire game once again. Anyone got any clues? -
Oh sorry, I looked but totally missed that forum.
But it's downloading at between 100-200 k/sec which is about normal for this connection. So it's exactly like it downloaded the first time and it's the same size file (3,1gb). Not entirely sure what to do.
ETA: I'll make a new post in the tech forum, thanks for the directions. -
