I'd rather see them get a complete overhaul, really. Psyche's costume is particularly, in my opinion, ugly and offensive - the superhero equivalent of nipple tassles.
The New Praetorian looks are all pretty awesome, I'd like to see the "classic" NPCs get a similar update. -
When this argument was had, long and drawn out, in the beta forums of that other game which took the other approach I said the same thing I will now:
In essence, what is the difference between being Dark-Childe or Dark Child@Global Name, or whatever other means is used to provide the "unique non-unique name?" Either way, the name's not really unique, doesn't function that way, etc. You're still remembered by the unique string and mechanically function through the unique string. All it does is make names longer and uglier. If you want to be Dark Child so badly that being Dark Child@Global Name (and forcing everyone else to be the same) is a fine solution to you, that option already exists in City of Heroes. -
Call me crazy, but I actually like the music in CoH. Even the old-school 4 synthesized instrument ones. I love how each area has it's own tune to define it's character.
I don't love how they play for a few seconds and then fade away to silence. Is there some technical limitation to simply looping the music? Why is there no toggle for those of us who are fans? -
Interesting suggestions. I really wish I could get home to the character editor and mess with power colors.

I searched, I didn't find any promising results.
As the title suggests, I'd love to play a psychic ninja/Soulknife/Psylocke type character. Unfortunately, City of Heroes does not offer Psychic Melee as a powerset (and doesn't seem likely to add it in the near future, although it would be awesome).
This leaves me needing to get creative. So far I see my options as:
1) make a Martial Arts/Willpower or Martial Arts/Super Reflexes Scrapper and set the power customization colors, where available, to pinkish purple (CoH's default psi color). Set bio flavor text and tell myself and others that the character uses tactile telekinesis to improve their strength and speed and limited telepathy/precognition to anticipate attacks. SR seems to reflect precognition/enhanced awareness better, but Willpower actually has psionic resistance, which seems appropriate to a psychic character.
2) make a Psychic/Mental Blaster and play them as a blapper. This seems questionable to me, as even activated in melee range, a lot of the powers are clearly ranged/blasts.
Surely I'm not the first to try this. Anyone have tip, insights, or other ideas?
Are there any good sets for a scrapper that would add psi damage to attacks?
Thank you. -
When I am running CoH I cannot use push-to-talk for Ventrilo. I can hear everyone else in Vent fine, but no one can hear me. If I alt+tab out it works fine, but within the game window: no dice.
I have push-to-talk bound to Mouse5 which I don't see bound to anything in-game. I also tried binding it to ` and v (unbinding v in game) still to no effect.
Even if I set Ventrilo off push-to-talk (just always on) no one can hear me when I'm playing in CoH but if I alt+tab out it's fine.
Has anyone else had this issue? How do I solve it?
