Prizes are added and a new banner is on the first page.

Well then let's keep this ladder going. At the first of every month whoever is number 1 will get prizes. Starting august 1. I'll talk to ocho about it.

Quote:Well, the league format I got an idea of is giving everyone a 2 month calendar, and have everyone schedule their matches when they can. Depending on how many teams register, each team would have to fight each team twice. So it's like a hybrid of Ladder type scheduling with a League type restriction.
I'd set up a separate topic with dates at the length of 2 months. Like if we start now, it'd be from July 2 - Sept 2. In each date, people would sign up and get their fights in. Also, each date is not restricted to just one fight. A team can fight all their fights in one night if they want, lol. xD Also, this way, people can better track when their fights are happening. At least, theoretically.
So...if there are 6 teams, that's 10 fights for each team. Everyone's got 2 months to schedule in their matches. All matches not able to be scheduled, must be rescheduled within the 2 months, or it'll be auto losses. So..scheduling is also flexible.
I'd say 8 weeks is a reasonable amount of time to get at least 10 fights in. Obviously, the more teams enter, the more fights we'll have. >
Again, just an idea. :O
^------This.
Do you read? I said the damn schedule is FLEXIBLE. You can schedule your matches anytime as long as it's within the 2 month Season. I bolded the parts that you seemed to have missed. -

If people want prizes or a goal, just do what the old Test Ladder did, the team on top at the start of each month gets a prize. This at least gives an incentive for people to keep challenging and climbing the ladder. I'm not opposed to a League format but it's going to be hard to find a day everyone can meet to complete their league matches.

Alright.....I know we're in the thick of things now. I know people are pumped with challenges. However, there is a big question everyone seems to ask me..."When does the Ladder end?"
The answer is...it doesn't. It's ongoing. The problem with that is....people need a goal to participate. So what is the goal for the Ladder? Well bragging rights is one....but unfortunately we need prizes. It's hard to get prizes for an ongoing Ladder without it being unfair. For example....Team A has been undefeated all ladder long...until Team B beats them, but have an inferior record than they do, and they just happen to do it at the deadline for a prize..Team B gets it. It's unfair for Team A.
Therefore....this is not a proposal....but to gauge interest in the current teams IN right now....to change from a Ladder format to a PURELY PVP LEAGUE format. Meaning...there are deadlines and there is a time line for a season. The Timeline I have an idea for is 2 months or less, depending on how consistent people get their fights in, and 3 weeks after for a PLAYOFFS type format.
This way, there is an intended goal, and it'd be easier for me to get prizes for teams. After each season, we would be on a 3-4 week hiatus for offseason. Then, we'll be up at it again for the next.
Anyway...just a proposition. If everyone will agree....this would mean everyone would start at a clean slate. -
Again......we're gonna go back to ONE CHALLENGE AT A TIME.
ALL PAST CHALLENGES ARE NULL AND VOIDED except the following:
Facegrape vs. RunNShoot which has already been decided
Freakinasty vs. Facegrape (Which will result in AN ACTUAL RESCHEDULE or FORFEIT)
I ask all teams for future actions to PLEASE keep challenges to a minimum of 1 per team. We are all relaxed here but we need to prevent confusion like this from happening again. Again, rankings are updated constantly. There is no reason for FIGHTS NOT TO HAPPEN.
Any and all challenges that were made with whoever and whatever are officially voided except for the two that I just stated.
So if you challenged someone....challenge them again as a FRESH challenge. None of the cluster crap that just happened. ONE TEAM AT A TIME. -
Quote:Dark 0mega puts up a forfeit request. Captains must discuss the situation and vote if Rodent's team does not accept to forfeit or MEET rescheduling agreement.
• Challenges are to be made and responded to in the official Pinnacle PvP Ladder League topic.
• Challenges must be responded to within 72 hours and a match must be scheduled within a week of challenge acknowledgement or the challenging team is awarded a forfeit.
NOTE: This might be a relaxed type of Ladder, but courtesy should be given to people willing to accomodate. This is why I stress that Captains and CoCaptains always check this topic. If you Captain and CoCaptain, you accept and take the responsibility to make sure you're following said rules and following up on schedule requests.
Also, this is why a RULE IS ADDED by MAJORITY Captains vote. One challenge at a time instead of calling every team out. It's hard enough as it is to keep up with who is fighting who. Rankings are always updated, so there shouldn't be a stall in challenges at all. -

Quote:That would make sense. Also...depending on outcome of said matches, Rankings get shuffled all the time.Captains...can we take a minute and consider this? Can we possibly limit to one challenge at a time? Ssome of us have scheduling issues and for one I would like to either challenge or be challenged and not have to deal with schduleing two teams at once. If I am challenged great, or if I want to challenge great. If you challenge one team and then a second you may be taking away the other teams ability to challenge who they wish. There are plenty of teams to fight no need to fight them all at once.
Guess I would like to propose only being able to challenge one team at a time.
Just a thought is all. -
Quote:Just have the newer teams challenge the bottom team for ranking, makes it much easier. If a higher seed challenges them, they can move up one rung if the lower-ranked team wins.
Basically what you said.
Also more fighting please, BadBadGirl let me know when is good for TWSS.
Sounds good. :O -
Quote:I assume they'd go up ONE spot regardless, and we go down one rank. Essentially, the 0-0 team become 1-0, and we become 3-1. Once entered, the 0-0 team is usually the bottom of the ladder. If two teams are 0-0 and enter within a week of each other, whoever registers first gets the benefit of a higher entering rank (IE: Teh Arctic enters, they're at rank 7). But if both teams register at the same time, then both must battle each other to determine rank.We need to clarify this situation:
We (3-0) challenge the new team (0-0). They win, they arrive at the bottom of the ladder or do they leapfrog the already ranked bottom team?
Or we could just change the rule and say:
No teams on the higher rungs can challenge lower ranked teams that are not within 2 rungs.
And to seed, you must battle the lowest ranked team to determine rank.
PROPOSE! -
Quote:My team is about rdy 2 join this ladder but i just wanted 2 ask but can we list our 4 gobals and then like some extra gobals in case of emerncgy 2 where some of the main 4 gobals cant make the match? for example
team name
@ team captin
@ co capt
@ teammate
@teammate
reserves:
@blah
@blah
@blah
For now, we don't use any reserves. The server is as small as it is already. Reschedules can be made, and it's pretty laid back as far as scheduling goes. -

LADDER RANKINGS
1 Kara and The Hardpunchers 3-0
2 Facegrape 1-0
3 Team 320 2-2
4 Run N Shoot 1-2
5 TWSS 1-1
6 Freakinasty 0-1
Run N Shoot fought TWSS and won. TWSS issued the challenge, therefore Run N Shoot stays put in their ranking, since they defended it.
Team 320 Challenges a lower seeded team, TWSS, and lost. TWSS gains 1 RANK UP, and 320 Loses a RANK DOWN.
New standings are up.
NOTE: Higher teams can challenge any lower ranking teams. If Lower ranking teams beat higher seeded teams, when the higher seeded teams issued the challenge and higher ranking team loses, Higher Ranking Team Loses ONE rank down, and lower seeded team gains ONE rank UP. Had the HIGHER Ranking team won, they would've kept their Rank, and Lower seeded team keep their rank as well.
Good fights all around. I can't wait to watch the FRAPS on these matches. I'll have em up on PinnPvPTV soon enough. -
