1. This youtube video, huh? I thought it was from that one, or the other one.

(You forgot to include a link.)
2. LadyMage... I agree that what you describe is a useful distinction to make. I have never heard it as the difference between "tattling" and "telling", however. Where did you get that definition form?

...wow. When I look it up, at least on M-W.com, it has nothing to do with either. The site describes it as merely about gossip, and neither bad behavior nor authority figures are mentioned. I wonder where they got their definition, too.

LadyMage's principle (about which behaviors are problems and which are not) stands, of course.

auto powers

I have found, on my characters with click mez protection, that if I simply put Hasten among my attacks on my power trays, I will notice it recharge just as promptly as I notice my attacks recharging. But yes, I do prefer to have Hasten on auto.

I'd say it's roughly as needed as a pair of fuzzy dice in a Ferrari.

[/ QUOTE ]

bad example, because as any real Ferrari owner will tell you, the dice ARE required, as they add an extra 100 horsepower.

[/ QUOTE ]

And Flame Decals add a extra 50 mph to the top speed.

[/ QUOTE ]

Kinda like Speed Holes! (Sorry, wish I could find a video link.)
5. [ QUOTE ]
It does contain both, but the Height shouldn't be part of it. It's been asked for probably as long as power customization.

What good would the boosters be if they didn't have stuff we really wanted? That's what makes them worth paying for. People have more than $15/month that they're willing to spend on City of Heroes, and I don't begrudge Paragon Studios trying to maximize their earnings. I could wish it were all available for one price, but I could wish the same of anything I pay money for. I wish it were all free. The good stuff always costs extra.

I've never "needed" Hover on a Teleporter either. Neither have I needed endurance or range enhancements. My point is only about the relative importance of Hover versus those enhancements. In my opinion, Hover is more important (has a greater impact on ease of travel) than those enhancements.

Just clarifying my point, as multiple opinions can of course coexist.

EULA Question

I don't really understand how they could "happen across" private conversations that were not petitioned without "snooping". And you don't know what their job is unless you applied for the position. Personally I think if their job is actually zero-tolerance enforcement, someone in the company made a poor decision. But as far as any of us who are only players know, they might be under instructions to enforce things liberally (any time they see them) or conservatively (only when petitioned), strictly (any violation by the letter of the law) or loosely (only cases that actually offended someone). You can make your guesses and I can make mine, but only the GMs know for sure.

I wouldn't touch TK even if it had Lucy Pinder's body.

Lucy Pinder can hold me and press me up against a wall any time.

...what? It's what TK does!
9. Okay, I have a related "Player Question"... does the Spam button actually report spammers to anyone, or is it just an easy "delete + ignore" button? I always thought the latter, at which point I would suggest just using Delete if you're just going to unignore the spammers to make room for others. Does Spam actually do anything useful, or has the high turnover of RMT accounts rendered it useless?
10. IronYeti

EULA Question

Only for a particular interpretation of "their job". Their job is to reduce complaints and keep the game a civil place for players. Snooping on private communications that have generated no complaints and censoring people who are having conversations that offend no one doesn't seem to me to fit that bill. I can only imagine that increasing complaints, which is not their job.

I don't know for certain if they will or won't, but without actually working there we don't know what GMs are prone to do and what, exactly, the company policies allow and/or obligate them to do.

OK .. I have searched topics, and even though some posts talk in general about this, I sure would like a definate answer to this ...

Every time I log on to my main,or other toons that I don't paly with as often, I get anywhere from 3 to 15 e-mail spams from various a**holes that are trying to make a quick buck. Sure, I do agree that this is something that will happen in most popular MMOs .. what I would like to know, is what is being done about this.

Its really getting out of hand. If I don't log my main for a few days, I get so many in-game e-mails about services that I really don't care about. I spend anywhere from 0 to 15 minutes, clicking on the mail spam button, then, since I know these accounts have been flagged and most likely have been deleted, I spend even more time deleting the global ignore accounts, since there is a limited amount of global ignores that can be managed at a time.

Seriously, I really don't want to spend my first 10 minutes in game managing my e-mails ..

So, with this, can anyone tell me that something is being done with this. It doesn't ruin the game for me, it just slaps around, the begining of a good run.

Not to mention that, in the middle of a SF or TF, my e-mail starts to glow red, and I must stop and check it, thinking it may be a friend that has a question or something. Very annoying!

Its a pain in the behind. So, again, I ask, is there someone out there that has an answer to my question .. Is there anything that is being done about this major violation of out beloved game?

Please don't flame me, I did search, but, I still can't find the info that I need.

Thanks all, happy playing.

Your complaints are valid; the email and spam-filtering systems need a lot of work. Nevertheless... how in the world does it take 10 minutes to hit "spam" or "delete" 15 times?

Also, if your friends are using email to ask you questions that they expect immediate responses for, teach them about tells.

Don't forget the most important enhancement for Teleport: Hover.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've never needed hover on a teleporter. (And, in fact, can't get it (directly) on a Warshade.)

If it's a character that might be doing ranged attacks, I *might* do it for the sake of positioning (and even then - hello, jet pack, why waste a power?) - but "needed" or "most emportant?" I'd say it's roughly as needed as a pair of fuzzy dice in a Ferrari.

[/ QUOTE ]
YMMV, of course. Personally, I find Hover invaluable for Teleport when getting around amidst obstacles -- navigating around or between buildings near a destination, for instance. I don't have to pick an immediately convenient landing point, I can stay in the air and pick my direction in my own time. I never said it was needed, but I still consider it the most important. Maneuverability and time to stop and think are, for me, far more important than 20% range per enhancement or any reduction in endurance (after all... I can just Hover while Stamina works its magic).
13. PFF and Jump Kick, 6-slotted for knockback distance. It is the only source of True Win.
14. My understanding is that the booster contains both: body type changes and height sliders. Perhaps that was not clear, or you have different information about the booster. I can't find the original link where I saw that, though I haven't looked very hard.

Don't forget the most important enhancement for Teleport: Hover.
16. I really like Dark Melee as a "generic brawler" set. Whenever I have to rationalize the dark effects, I just consider it a cartoonish manifestation of fury or angst, rather than an actually visible effect. Of course if you want a chipper speedster, DM is not the way to go.
17. The height slider / body-type changer seems to be one of the main features of the Super Science Booster. It would defeat the purpose of making it a booster if they gave one of those features to the core game.

Well, Blind has to be stacked for bosses too... I would keep Deceive if I were you. First of all, if Spectral Terror isn't covering the area of a fight, or if you start a new fight before it recharges again, alternating Blind and Deceive will help you get lockdown faster than just Blind alone. Second, some targets have high Hold protection but not high Deceive protection. Third, Deceive lasts far longer than Blind. Fourth, Deceive can be hilarious. There's nothing quite like confusing a Council lieutenant, only to see him kick his own minions in the head and one-shot them. (Don't think of it like you've lost some XP... think of it like you've gained a free show!)

Ill/Sonic pve

That can be said of any two control powers -- Blind isn't as useful with Spectral Terror, either. Nor is Flash. Controls have a very binary nature; either something is controlled, or it isn't. The only exception is Containment-setting/using powers and stacked controls, but (except for Blind and Flash) Illusion doesn't have much of either.
20. Technically speaking a "macro" is a custom button in your trays, and a "bind" is a keystroke. The distinction is important mainly because they have different commands. It looks like you want:

Code:[/color]

/bind H cce 0 CCLightning
/bind J cce 1 CCSpin
/bind K cce 2 CCPrestoChango

I don't think they were really replying to you with those comments, but more people like Not Rhino, who likened people reporting petitionable characters to blackmail and extortion.

I honestly have no problem with people who don't want to petition other people. That's fine. So you're good. The people I do have a problem with are the ones who call people tattletales and the like because the person informed a GM that they were breaking a rule.

Up until now, the only time I've heard the term "rat" used to describe someone who reports bad behavior is over-the-top criminal stereotypes in movies. So my advice to you is... leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
22. There are several things that may have been keeping your damage low. For one thing, many electric attacks deal Damage Over Time (DOT): many small "ticks" of damage rather than one large "bang". If you deal 4 damage 10 times, that's 40 damage. Second, you may have been SK'd up, but if your difficulty was high the enemies would still be higher level than you. That makes them take less damage. Third, at low levels you do not have access to the higher level enhancements (DOs, SOs, and IOs) that make your attacks do their maximum damage. You also don't have all your attacks yet, like your pet (Voltaic Sentinel) or your nuke (Thunder something... HO!).

Once you actually get to 50, you should be doing a lot more damage. But if you want your single-target damage numbers to be really high, you would do better with the Ice or Sonic secondaries.
23. I don't remember that issue.
