  1. H'taed was in direct control of his brainwaves and thought patterns due to have excelent control over electrical synapses, and so the Fear power did almost nothing to him.

When Nether charged forward and used Shadow Maul on him...

H'taed took the blows directly. He grimaced as she put huge dents in his armor. However the tribal runes in it negated most of the Negative energy. A few more hits like that and the runes would deactivate. He continued to pull Alex towards him.

He raised his free hand and planted it on Nether's chest.

    "See you in hell, shorty."

When he removed his hand, there was another electrical mud bomb glued to her.
  2. H'taed hit the cement with a thud. He looked up to see Alex stumbling away.

"Oh no you don't..." He growled.

An electrical beam shot from his hand, and wrapped around Alex's legs. The beam started to shorten, dragging Alex back towards H'taed...
  3. ((Nope...was the right one. So H'taed is still about to cut Alex's head off. Sorry bout that. :P))
  4. H'taed suddenly found himself being shoved forward by an invisible force.

Unfortunatly, his electrical blade was still poised at Alex's throat. That little nudge Garret had just supplied could very well be her undoing. The blade was less then a second away from cutting off her head.

The moment Lord H'taed realized he had been attacked, he despelled the electrical blade in his left hand, and conjured an electrical mud bomb. The mub bomb was designed to polarize in contact with electromagnetic body signatures, then detonate after a period of 3 seconds. If the electrical mud bomb hit Garret, it would stick on him, then explode in a violent burst of energy.

H'taed tossed the little red ball of electricity at Garret...

    OOC

He is throwing the bomb AS he is being shoved...Just thought I'd clarify.

The dance the guy used to get by those lasers...LMAO...Loved that scene.

    BIC

Lord H'taed slowly slowed down, coming to a stop.

"Now then brat...Give me the device I know you have. If you do, I may let you live...After I abandon you in the center of the sewer network."

He raised the tip of his electrical blade towards Alex's throat.

Then he heard a swish of air. He turned around to see what looked like a...

    A CIVILIAN?

"What the hell...? H'taed muttered. He conjured a second electrical blade, and pointed it in Garret's direction. If he continued his leap, he would skewer himself upon the blade.

H'taed seemed to completely ignore Maindrain. He turned his attention back to Alex.

"You have three seconds to give me that device.."
  6. H'taed stared at Alex's vanishing form.

"Noitpeced. Permission to mercilessly beat the [censored] out of her."

    He spoke.

"Permission Granted." Said a voice in his ear.

    -----

A lightning bolt crashed down right in front of Alex, and Lord H'taed charged forward.

Alex may have been a superspeeder, but H'taed could manipulate the electrical energies in his body to give him lightning reflexes and reaction times, and this was when he WASN'T superspeeding. Combined WITH superspeed, this ability allowed him to run faster then Positron.

Lord H'taed started running in circles around Alex. His form started to blur as he picked up sped, seeming to form a solid 360 degree wall around Alex as she ran. Then the blur turned into after images, each one facing her, and running to the side, allowing another afterimage to continue running.

    "You want to play? Fine."

All the afterimages conjured electrical swords.

"DIE." They all spat. They all swung at Alex with thier swords.

    OOC

For those of you who are confused, H'taed is moving so fast that he is leaving an "impression" of himself in the air behind him. By doing this, he can make it seem like there are more then one of him. Which of course there arn't. There is simply one H'taed running around Alex at near lightspeed. The swords are just one sword, which is being swung while at differant locations.
  7. H'taed ducked beneath Alex's kick, and watched as she zoomed away.

    "Nice try." He snorted.

A bolt of red lightning crashed down, and he dematerialized into it. The bolt ascended into the sky. Then it crashed down at the speed of light, at the end of the alley that Alex was in.

Lord H'taed materialized in a storm of energy. He then raised a small wall of electrical energy in front of the alleyway exit. If Alex hit it, she would most likely be caught and trapped in its strong binding currents.
  8. Lord H'taed bowed before his master, Lord Diov in a darkened room.

    "You called Diov?" He asked.

The figure in the shadows stirred.

"Yes. A mortal down below has something I want. You will retrieve it. Her name is Alex, I believe. I know what's in the box, but I'm not telling you. You don't need to know. Noitpeced will give you data via your uplink. You will recieve no support from Husk Corp. These are your orders. Don't come back without that box."

    -----

If anyone had bothered wtaching the sky, they would have noticed a red lightning bolt streak down from the heavens. Of course, it was day, and the red streak was almost invisible amongst the blue and white sky.

    -----

The lightning bolt struck the street. Lord H'taed materialized in a storm of electricity.

He was over 8 feet tall, but amazingly thin. He was decked head to toe in medival style armor, with red tribal runes running down it. He wore a hood that obscured every inch of his head, only his glowing red eyes visible beneath it. Metalic spikes protruded from his shoulders, and little red collections of static ran down them. His clawed hands quickly tapped the red gem on his belt, activating his uplink to the Husk Corp. Mainframe.

A voice spoke into his ear.

"This is Noitpeced. Your target should be passing by you in 5 seconds. She is very fast, do try to avoid permanently damaging her. Diov didn't tell me what was in that box either, and I don't want you to risk damaging it."

Alex whizzed by Lord H'taed on the street.

    "Gotcha." He muttered.

In a flash, he was gone. He supersped down the streets, quickly catching up with Alex. He pulled up along side her, running BACKWARDS.

"Hello punk. You have something I want. GIVE."

    RPvP planning?

Lord Diov and Lord H'taed are in. Might have trouble finding someone to fight with one of them though...
  10. Lord Diov stepped out through a rift in space of time.

"I am thankful for the utter uselessness of this holiday and the false sense of security it bestows upon mortals!"

H'taed stepped through the rift, carrying a silver platter of a stuffed and roasted Psycho Fear on it.

"I'm thankful for my power of electrical might...which generates heat...which saved me five million years of time cooking this thing." He said cheerfully, navigating the roasted Psycho Fear into the middle of the table.

    "Enjoy."

He then gorged himself in gravy and drumsticks until he passed out. Lord Diov just stood there staring into space.
  11. Meh...I thought Devious was the doomsday master...

    Lord of Matter

    Out in another Universe...

    Another Dimension...

    Another Reality...

There was a world where good did not always win. Sure, the bag guys win sometimes in the real world, but think of a reality where everything went so wrong, that the good ALWAYS lost to the bad? In truth, there are several realities like this. This, is the tale, of one of those realities...

Chapter One: The Power of the Void.

There was a universe. Well not an entire one. More accurately, all of existance had been obliterated. Save for one planet, floating in the nothingness. Most of the planet was gone to. Consumed by the ever growing nothingness. There was only one city left, and that was quickly fading away.

Cowering in the Temple of Salvation, the creature called to the Gods to help. "Please. I am the only one left. All is gone. Soon all will be nothing. I beseach you, save me. Spare me from this unstoppable force."

Outside the temple, the ground was slowly vanishing into nothingness. Soon all of existance would be consumed. The creature in the temple spoke faster.

"All mighty powers who govern all of the Multi-Universe, hear me, answer my call, save your servant! Help me! Save me!

The creature looked upon the alter in front of it. Monoliths of various colored gods, with finery and offerings about them. The gods moved about in their monoliths, and some of them looked at the creature with amused looks, before turning away.

The end of reality started to eat away the temple stairs.

"I call to you. I pray to you. I worship you. Rescue me from oblivion. I am the only one left. Do not condemn me to this horrid fate."

One of the gods in the monoliths finally paused. He turned to face the creature from his stone image, and spoke...

"We, the gods, have abandoned you. We condemn you to your fate. For with it, the various powers will use your sacrifice to seal the eternal doom within your reality. It will be trapped. We will not save you."

The god turned, and his visage on the monoliths vanished.

The creature rose, and screamed, a horrible scream which would have shaken the heavens, if they had existed anymore. He rushed to the alter, picked of the various monoliths and chucked them into the nothingness, which had reached halfway up the temple stairs.

He then sat, and waited to be obliterated.

"Do you wish to be saved?" Whispered a voice in his head.

"This is a joke. I cannot be saved now." The creature thought. He stared at the nothingness as it ascended the temple steps.

"Ah, but yes you can. For I am a god who needs your help. My last follower is about to expire. Without belief, we gods have no power. If you stake your faith in my power, I will save you. I will grant you more power then you can imangine. You will see entire worlds bow before your might. All you have to do is set your faith in me, the god of the Void."

The creature sat in silence. Could this be true?

"I cannot be saved. For this nightmare is more powerful than any single god. You cannot save me." Thought the creature.

The nothingness had finally reached the top of the staircase. The interior of the temple started to fade away, as though it had never existed.

"CONFOUND IT! I OFFER YOU SALVATION AND YOU TURN YOUR BACK ON ME? HEAR ME!" The voice ripped thrugh his mind, demanding his attention.

"Are you so blind that you would abandon all hope immediatly in the face of this peril? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Now consider my offer! Be saved, or face the infinite power of the Catastrophe which is consuming your reality!"

The creature stared as the nothingness crept closer.

"I would do anything. To be saved. Save me, and I am yours."
    It thought.

The nothingness now fully surrounded the creature. It closed in.

"You are saved." Said the god of the Void. Like that, the creature vanished.

Right before the nothingness consumed all the last traces of the reality, it thought...

"And so I may continue to consume. I have saved my last follower from myself. I have saved him from the Power of the Void. I am the mightiest of everything and nothing. Yet even I am powerless without belief. So I have saved this lone creature. To beleive in me. So I may consume. Forever, I will slowly consume until there is nothing left.

    But me.

    And him.

Then he shall be gone. Along with him, I will also depart.

What will be left over? There will not be something, for I will have consumed it.

There will not be nothing, for that is what I am.

It matters not. That time has not yet come. I can see the moment in which it will happen, and it is far off...Down the streams of time...I can see it happening clearly...The end of all that is. I cannot see beyond it. I could travel there, but I am not sure of what would happen.

    It matters not."

    To be Continued.

Quiz time...If H'taed bleeds 15 gallons of blood a minute, and if he has 10 gallons of blood in his body, and if it takes the paint 5 minutes to be ruined, and the blood doesn't dry for 30 minutes, how long will it take for the blood to permanently smudge its self into the frame work of the car?

    BONUS!

How long will it take for H'taed's brain to cease functioning after all the blood drains from his body?

  19. Chapter Four: The Psycho Fear

Dr. Aeon, predicting the worst, imediatly teleported to safety.

Dr. Noitpeced got back up, and looked back in the room.

He saw the THING standing in the room.

"I've just infected myself with my own virus!" He thought.

He didn't panic. He knew it was an illusion. He also knew that wouldn't save him.

"Do you think I am some toy for you and your underlings to play with?" Said a voice, which sounded like a hiss.

"I am much, much, more then that...I am no longer just some biological weapon on a shelf waiting to be used...I am now a force! I am an entity! A being! I will no longer be classified as a mere virus!" The air shook and wavered about the inherit fear of mankind.

"I." The air around the thing glowed with energy.

"AM." The shadows in the room appeared to be fluttering...

    "THE PSYCHO FEAR!!!"

A few seconds later, the entire labratory, and the building it was in, exploded. The cause of the explosion was never found.

In the slipstreams of the air, a force descended upon the unknowing population of the rogue islands....

    The End
  20. Chapter 3: The Inherit Fear in Man

Dr. Noitpeced studied this strain for a good two years. No matter whos' mind they examined, one portion of the fear strain was always exactly the same.

"A single notion in the mind. A single thing that all of mankind inheritly fears." Muttered the doctor.

An infinite amount of time was spent replicating this one strain, introducing it into the magical and technological fussion, binding it into the virus, and getting the virus to use the strain in the right way. Finally, the day for the virus's first test arrived.

Dr. Aeon and Dr. Noitpeced stood behind a wall of fiberglass. On the otherside, in a plain white room, was some random bum they had picked off the streets. He had whined and complained, but had quited down after a while.

"Release the virus." Dr. Aeon said.

Dr. Noitpeced pressed a button, and a sudden hiss announced the arrival of the virus in the room beyond.

The man looked around in confusion.

    Then he scream.

He gibbered and started to foam at the mouth, he tore his own hair out, and ran into a corner, where he curled up into a ball. He howled and cried and shook.

There was nothing else in the room except for him.

"Tell the virus to kill him." Dr. Aeon commanded.

    Dr. Noitpeced pressed another button.

Suddenly, the man seemed to be dragged out of the corner. His legs were being levitated into thin air.

    Dr. Aeon frowned.

"I'm fairly sure the virus can't interact with the enviroment..." He said.

"Ah, but that is the genius of it! You are right. It can't. It has just shown this person the inherit fear of mankind. In this man's mind, the fear is dragging him out of the corner. He so firmly beleives it is there, that reality, and his body, will make it happen." Said Dr. Noitpeced in a smug voice.

    "Remarkable." Muttered Dr. Aeon.

Then, the man, levitated in the air, was ripped in half.

"Now we shall do the exact same test. Only we shall tell the person in the test that he will be assaulted by an illusion." Dr. Noitpeced said.

Dr. Aeon frowned again. "Wouldn't that mean the illusion wouldn't be able to do anything to him?"

Noitpeced just smiled. "Watch, Dr. Aeon, and be amazed.

The next person appeared in the room. The virus was released again.

Suddenly, the man in the room started laughing.

"You're just an illusion! You can't hurt me!"

Then the man's head was ripped off. Something then bit off a chunk of it.

"Enlighten me." Dr. Aeon said in a stunned fassion.

"The illusion is so powerful that it still effects the body and reality, even if the subject knows it is an illusion. THAT is how powerful it is. Also, we can command it to only infect certain select people. So if we released the virus into a crowd, only one person would see the illusion. It also works vice versa." Dr. Noitpeced said. He was beaming with joy.

Then he accidentally slipped. His hand accidentally hit a button...

    To be continued.
  21. Chapter 2: Repeating Factor

Dr. Noitpeced laid out his plan.

"Create a new device...A weapon...Using both Magical and Technological components..."

He quickly presented this idea to Dr. Aeon, who almost imediatly accepted.

"I'll need mages...Any kind will do. Professionals are prefered of course."

So Dr. Aeon pulled some strings within Arachnos, and through negotiations, soon had mages from the Circle of Thorns helping him.

"So you say that your spells would bind best with a gas?" Asked Noitpeced.

"Yes...The less matter in an object, the less time the spell takes, and the more intact it will be." Said one of the Madness mages.

So Dr. Noitpeced decided the weapon should be biological. A germ, perhaps.

Over the next few weeks, the Mages successfully bound their spells with a virus. The problem was that the virus soon died, and lacked the instincts of normal viruses. So the doctor needed to give the virus a mind.

That part was easy. Fortunata Mistresses often gaurded Aeon's labs, so it was simple to have a few of them assigned to the project. Using their psychic abilities, they were able to enhance the virus to a point where it was sentient and intelligent.

It was still not enough. The virus was smart. It was deadly. But it lacked drive.

"The problem is that our spells concentrate mostly on the mind..." Said a Madness mage, tapping his temple.

"There are very few diseases which directly interact with how the brain works."

So Dr. Noitpeced got Dr. Aeon to empty the asylums, and scour the island for people who were mad and insane.

"Now we just need to study their minds, and figure out how to manipulate it with the virus..."

At first Noitpeced tried to have the virus move the matter in one part of a brain to another part, but this killed the patient rather then manipulating the way he thought. Then he tried getting the virus to alter the electrical pulses in the brain to force it to see random or set images. However, this was only met with moderate success. The patients affected this way had Nightmares, but otherwise were fine. The others literally exploded due to over pressure in their heads.

Finally, Dr. Noitpeced had the mages and his asistants examine the minds of some of the captured mad men.

"They have nothing in common in their heads. Normal strains of thought which have been thrown out of alignment by their madness. They see the world differantly, so there is never a pattern in one mind that follows the pattern in another."

The assistant delievering the report paused.

"Save for one strain...It appears that in the strain for fear, everything is still out of alignment, just like everything else. However, there is always one small portion, which is always the same, in every mind, mad or not. We may be able to exploit this repeating factor."

    To be continued.
  22. Chapter 1: A Fold in the Grey.

((Paragon City, Atlas Park, City Hall, M.A.G.I.))

Dr. Noitpeced walked into the M.A.G.I. department of city hall. He did not like magic, and absolutely hated having to come here.

The good doctor was a Biologist. He was the inventor of the transferable psychic gene, the secondary brain, and the inteligence booster shot. All of them were restricted to military access only, and even then, only Special Agents ever got to use them. This infuriated Dr. Noitpeced to no end, for two reasons. A: He had invented these things for public use, to make the world a better place. B: Since only a select few people ever got to use these things, he had a very low income.

Then, he got a lucky break. Agent X, a hero in Long Bow, offered Dr. Noitpeced a military contract. All new inventions of his were to be restricted to the military, and in exchange, the doctor was given monthly checks of a round million dollars. As long as he kept inventing, of course.

However, Dr. Noitpeced was now in a tight spot. All of hisrecent inventions had been turned down recently. If he couldn't get anything new in a week, his contract would be terminated.

Dr. Noitpeced explained his situation to Azuria, and told her how he thought that magic crossed with technology was the only option he had not currently tried. Azuria almost kicked him out of the department, she was so angry.

"Doing so would be incredibly dangerous! You would threaten every life in the city, and it is also illegal! Magical and Technological mixture is strictly forbidden."

So the doctor now had to consider his position. He worked hard for the next week, but the military turned down his idea for re-usable missiles, and canceled his contract.

It wouldn't have been so bad if it wern't for a tiny detail. Dr. Noitpeced knew plenty of military secrets, and as a civilian now, he could not be allowed to live. The doctor had quickly made a run for it, and had caught the nearest ferry to the Rogue Islands...

He worked there for a few years. Then, Dr. Aeon found out about his history, and employed him as his new lead researcher.

It was a good time for Dr. Noitpeced. Since the technological limit was more lax in the rogue islands, almost all of his military inventions were accepted and patented. So the money just kept rolling in.

But a thought kept tugging at his mind...

"What would happen if I were to make something new using both magic and technology?"

    To be continued.
  23. OOC

He has the right to blame me for god modding in FF.

He doesn't here. So far all H'tead has done has been this:

    Run over by a car.

Splattered by three high-speed impacts with solid walls.

    Passed out twice.

Broken most of the bones in his body.

According to Mecha, he is now two dimensional, and splattered like bird poop across the top of the car.

Please tell me how any of that constitues as god modding?

But [censored] this. Seeing as how nobody seems to see that all H'taed has done since arriving is had the [censored] beaten out of him...

Hell, not counting the purple beam, (which was not directed at any characters, or intended as an attack in the first place) H'taed hasn't even used a single attack yet.

I guess either I need to have him commit suicide, or cut off all his appendages to NOT make it seem like god modding.

I don't mind taking [censored] from people when I deserve it. I know I deserve all the crap people fling at me for what I've done in FF.

But now you're attacking me for having my character be a living voodoo doll?

    Just [censored] it...

That's all I have to say.
  24. (It's not really a affecting the car, just the space around the car in general, with the magnetised restriction feild being focused somehwere inside the car.

More specificly, probably underneath the back seat a little. Not effecting the car at all, just the air around it, and anything that happens to be magnetic...and its also keeping H'taed within a 3 foot radius of the car as well.
  25. H'taed suddenly woke up. He eyed the gate in front of the car. He couldn't very well move, but who said he needed to move to use his powers?

Realizing things could get very bad for him very fast, he strengthed the passive feild that kept him by the car. If anyone tried to move him out of a 3 foot radius of it, they would find it impossible.

The beutiful thing about the spell was that it couldn't be shut ff unless the user deactivated it. So unless they wanted a corpse splattering the car with blood every time it drove somewhere, they wouldn't kill him.

    Hopefully.

Before he fell into the coma again, He locked Kefetesura into his memory.
