  1. I tried talking to the arbiter in Nerva - however! it's possible that I went to the wrong one. I shall try again!
  2. When I log into my recently-50 Brute, it says that I have 2 free respec tokens - hooray! These are account items I received from a pack.

Unfortunately, when I /respec, nothing happens - it tells me that I need to go see an arbiter.

I'm "repairing" my install when I get home from work - you think it'll be fixed?

That would probably mean there is a setting to choose which card is used for the default, but it would likely deactivate the power saving hybrid system.

I don't have one to test my idea, but I am guessing that would be a possible answer.
Incidentally. I'm running a Sony VAIO S, customized at order, with an AMD Radeon™ HD 6630M (1GB VRAM) hybrid graphics, and the Intel i7-2620M processor (2.70GHz) with Turbo Boost up to 3.40GHz and the Intel HD 3000 graphics (yes, I did just C&P that).

Now, the laptop I have has this SUPER NEAT (/sarcasm) toggle switch to change from "Stamina" to "Speed" settings - which changes my setup (among other things, most likely) to run from the embedded Intel HD3000 chip (Stamina) to the Radeon graphics card (Speed).

As I am thus able to easily swap between the two, I have. Many times. And I've found that while the Radeon runs it marginally better, graphically speaking, it crashes my game. Not the computer. Not the OS. Nothing except the game. And it doesn't just crash, it just... stops. Audio starts to loop and the graphics are locked onscreen. Usually happens in the last level of an incarnate trial or during loading screens. I pull up the prog. manager, kill the process, and reboot. Which is no biggie, considering my load time is RIDICULOUSLY fast.

Now, with the embedded Intel GPU... my game... runs wonderfully. It gets SLIGHTLY hotter on the underside of the laptop than it does when running the Radeon, but nothing the fan I bought to play COH on my Gateway FX can't handle, and even without the fan, I've never overheated (with either running - the crash problem is NOT an overheat, unless somehow the card is overheating without transmitting any heat to the bottom of the PC). Wonderfully being, without crashing while I'm trying to shard it up. Graphically speaking, however, I CAN run it hard, but I don't. I keep my graphics settings on "recommended" because I don't want to feel like crap every time it freezes - you know the feeling. The "really. really? I paid for this... and it just kicked me out of UG during the infested warbot battle? REALLY? My team just died? WTFXBBQ." feeling you get when your computer doesn't perform the way you wish it would.

So I play. With an embedded Intel HD3000 GPU. Disabling the Radeon. Because that's my "hotfix" - I can't void my warranty (if I wanted to do that, I wouldn't have paid for one) and the ONLY driver updates available have to come through Sony (thanks, hybrid graphics technology! THANK YOU SO MUCH!) and considering their customer service when I had an issue with my MS install, there are not going to BE any new drivers any time soon.

If this sheds light on anything, for anyone, or helps someone else reach a conclusion about the dilemma that people seem to be having with integrated/hybrid graphics, I'm glad.

Also, someone please tell my why, oh why, did my buttons disappear from the LFG queue on my 50 incarnate but not on any of my other toons? Is it deliberate? A hint: "Please don't try to star any more iTrials, you're awful." No, but is anyone else having weirdness since the release? My buttons are suddenly all black... Selectable, but who knows what's on, what's off, or what trial I'll be sending my league into when I try to take some folks down into DD. And sometimes, if I enter a full screen UI, it shows up in the water reflections. And in UG and some missions, I get... I can't even describe it. I keep moving, but it's like a motion blur... frames are locking on certain moving parts, or something... it's... it's bizarre. Sometimes it goes away, usually when I move to a new... place...

.......... When it comes right down to it, I'll build a desktop eventually for the sole purpose of COH. But for now, it'd be nice if Sony would please update my drivers, and if my buttons would come back. But I'm not sure if that's a PIBCAK error or... it probably is. ><
  4. Only on my 50+ toon, the buttons are missing from my LFG queue, making it quite difficult to run trials. There are only empty black circles (as opposed to the rings/dots, which are normal).

On my lower level characters, the LFG queue works fine.

I've logged out, logged in, clicked, and gone into the PVP arena (which I was told resets your LFG completely, but not by anyone with obvious authority) and it's been a continuous issue.

If I look -very- closely at the queue, I can tell that some of the black circles which have replaced the usual buttons are slightly more pixellated around the edges when I toggle them, but it's not very useful as I'm not sure what the pixellation indicates. It's possible that I've somehow destroyed my UI, but I know that some other people have been having issues with the LFG not queueing the right iTrials, and this has only started since the patch came out.

I'm sorry if this is not appropriate for this forum.

Also, my SO's LFG queue does not have the BAF trial on it. His buttons and all the other trials are there, but there is no BAF.
  5. "The Graphics Driver on your model is a hybrid driver which supports BOTH the ATi HD6630M and the Intel HD3000 chips and facilitates the hot-switching from Speed to Stamina Modes. Because of this you cannot install the standard AMD/ATi drivers."

I suspected this had something to do with it. *swears*
  6. So my game freezes up at times - I'm not sure for how long, as when it happens (couple of times a day, usually during loading or in the middle of heavy battle) I just pull the program manager up and shut it down and restart. This is annoying because I have 8g of RAM, an i7 processor and a stable internet connection and it makes me want to kick something. See the following stuff:
