This sounds really cool, but think how hard it would be to implement. Lets use this example and say your supergroup was named, "The Superfriends" - in that case the NPCs would be saying:
"Thankyou The Superfriends, I was afraid they would kill me"
"I here Aussieman and the The Superfriends are on there way"
    "Kill those meddling The Superfriends"
"I would of gotten away with it, if it wasn't for the The Superfriends and that hero Aussieman"

In my opinion those pheases just sound a little silly and would detract more than they would add.

I think there's a solution, if you first declare the name as it appears, then declare what the teammates will be referred to as a group. Could also be set up so that it alternates between individuals and the Supergroup as a whole, and can reference the titles of the leaders, too.

    For instance:

    [ QUOTE ]
Group Name: The Hand of Atlas
This will be used in the following manner: "Thank Goodness for ___________"
    Plural Reference: Hands of Atlas
This will be used in the following manner: "Kill those meddling ___________"
Use Titles when referencing individual leaders? Yes No
    Prime member name: Boss
This will be used in the following manner: "Boss Lascota, thank you for rescuing these children from harm!"
    Secondary member name: Lieutenant
This will be used in the following manner: "You must hurry, Lieutenant Lascota! Hamidon is rising even as we speak!"
    Tertiary member name: Minion
This will be used in the following manner: "Who's leading this mission, Minion Lascota?"

  2. How about this:

Every Group that reaches a certain time period with 75 members may submit a EPS or WMF 2-color image as the SG, that will be used as the group's emblem.

With the addition of SG bases have a bank where SG Members can deposit Enhancements and Influence for other members in there SG to use.

Yeah, I like that idea... or here's a variant on the idea-- what if, in the options, you could choose a different option for a store or a helper who takes up permanent residence in your SuperGroup's Headquarters?
<ul type="square">[*]Grassroots Follower - a store that sells all manner of Trainings. Low cost.[*]Corporate sponsor - a store that buys and sells Trainings and DO's - companies such as Cooke's Electronics, Subgenetics, and Orion's Labs. Moderate cost. The company's logos show up on the back shoulder blades of the costume, or on the lower part of the cape.[*]Superior sponsor - SO &amp; DO stores, like BiotechniX, Exarch Industries, Future Dynamics. Tailor Shop built right in. High Cost. The company's logos show up on the back shoulder blades of the costume, or on the lower part of the cape.[*]Butler - A store that buys and sells only what you give it for $0 in Influence-- basically, a bank for items. Also, an Icon shop at an extreme discount. Most expensive option. Butler walks around the SG HQ dusting and occasionally saying things about the SG.[/list]What do you think?

    Boss Changes

    [ QUOTE ]
Getting into a team in the Hollows is easy, though -- chances are you'll get plenty of blind invites, and if you're LFT, you can expect a team in short order.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm a big fan of pick ups. But at the Hollows, you are playing with a new character (even if you're an experienced player) and often dealing with players who are new to their hero concepts.

In my opinion, that makes the Hollows one of the WORST places to do pickup teams...

    Boss Changes

    [ QUOTE ]
My main issue right now is the “one shot” defeats. Blasters, Controllers or Defenders who round a corner a little too quickly can find themselves facing instant debt. They have no opportunity to prepare for the boss because they didn’t see him.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Earlier today, my Blaster on Triumph, Bree the Mystic, tried to solo the second Door mission from Flux (in the Hollows). There was a named boss in there.

The first time I tried to snipe the bosses companion. Pulled the boss too, of course, and he killed Bree but good. Second time, I went after the minion and quickly eliminated him, leaving me with just the boss to contend with. When I tried to take on the boss though, even with Inspirations active, he laughed off my attacks and devastated me. I gave up and waited until I had a companion.

The Hollows needs a lot of attention, IMO. Great zone. But it doesn't balance well and it becomes a stopping point for many players, I think...

    The Kudos Thread

I've been noticing a lot of negativity, a lot of people bitter that they didn't get the experience they feel they are 'owed' from the developer team in the Controller Issues thread. Particularly from Invul. Tankers.

When I saw the link in Pilcrow's Sig, I knew it was time to come spread some love.

My roommate has left CoH after getting me hooked. He's off having a wonderful time with WoW (seems EQ2 has already bored him). As for me, I am staying put. I love this game passionately.

Thank you for Fly, and skyscrapers.

Thank you for distant, hazy vistas that form and make sense as you near them, just as they do in real vision.

Thank you for detailed cities and spaces. Burning buildings. Thanks for just about everything in Independence Port.

Thanks for Halloween. I can't say enough about how good it felt to trick or treat again, from the comfort of my computer chair.

Thanks for the Terra Volta trials. What a perfect challenge!

Thanks for Task Forces, costume quests, cape quest, and assorted goodies.

Thanks for billboards and waters and skies and clouds and (soon), snow.

My girlfriend, Erin, died this past November. She was living in Brisbane Australia (exactly on the other side of the world) and I have had no contact with her family or friends despite numerous attempts, and I've had a pretty rough month because of it. I have been out of work, waiting for word of the funeral, or where she's buried, or whether or not I was mentioned in her will. It's been really frustrating and CoH has been great therapy at times. Sometimes I've left playing, reminding myself that people in the real world need help, too, just like those yelling NPC's.

Thank you for entertaining me. If you're ASKING, I have a box full of suggestions, things I would LOVE to see. But even if the game doesn't go my way, doesn't balance according to my view of the world, it's breathtaking and phenomenal, and deserves my respect and admiration.

    Good job, guys!
