  1. Whether I am free to play on Wednesday and Sunday would depend on my work schedule, but I should be free to join the Tuesday static team. Made a Praetrian SS/fire brute to play, he is a blast to play at low levels, so I think I'm going to really enjoy him when he gets higher in levels.

    See you in game soon.
  2. Day 3 went well, continuing to flip salvage, now up to 4,867,489 inf. Will have to look into flipping larger items, or crafting and selling IOs, now that I have some more starter cash. I also need to work on getting to level 10 for more salvage and recipe storage.

I picked up the scrounger, and salesman badges, I decied to use scrounger as my badge title, it just seemed appropriate.
  3. I logged in to find I bought all the Ancient Artifacts, both at 1,000 and at a 100 inf
There were only 19 left, and the sell price was between 25k and 55k
I discovered I could sort the salvage by #for sell, thinking I may not hate the new (for me) interface so much. Now I just need to make a cheat sheet with all the badges and all the recipes with all the salvage listed on it. I decided to put 10 of the Ancient Artifacts back up for sell. If I can sell them at 40k each, I would have a nicer nest egg. With the prices on common salvage much higher than I remember them being, I'm going to need more inf for this.

Later, after some playing around with the market, jumping on a high level character, making about 80 tickets in 5 minutes and then turning those into salvage of which I sent a couple of spell scrolls to my new character, I've figured out one thing. Praetoria is not a good place for me to be a comman IO maker. I don't have a base, no AE for tickets / cheap salvage, and everything is nice and spread out.

So I'm going to have to go with flipping for now. I flipped the 26 Ancient Artifacts I had managed to buy and now have 954,238 inf.

This all happened over about 8 hours, about 1/3 of which I was online for. I'll have to start time stamping these. I also picked up the Vendor badge.
  4. For any of those of you who vaguily remember me, for boring personal reasons I was gone from the game for about 7 months. So now I'm back and having to relearn and catch up on all the changes. I made a new character, a SS/fire brute in Praetoria, called The Boxer Burns. I'm making a tracking thread to show how he does, especially his marketing, as I ease back into the game.

    Day 1:
Got out of turorial, ran aound looking at the pretty new zone. Ran a few missions, beat up some outdoor mobs, got to lv 4. Sprinted over to the next zone to visit the swap meet. No trouble getting there which is good as mobs were all deep purple to me.

Got to swap meet, brought up the new interface, decied I'm not going to like it. Sold my big green and big red insperations, starting him out with 86k to play with.
I bought 6, lv 10 end red recipes for 10inf each. Put up bids for 9 X 100 inf for ancient artifacts, and spell scrolls. Also put in 10 X 1000 bids on same. Going to start out making money common IO crafting. I have 58,542 inf left at this point.

Lets see what day 2 holds in store.
  5. I miss MissTeek. I'm hoping she comes back when CoX goes free to play.
  6. Hello all, I'm coming back. Thats right, I Honcho, the most incompetent player in the history (or at least in his own minb) of CoX, is back to cause debt, sow confusion, and bring painful failure to all the toons I team with. So where is everone from Ground Zero, they like that sort of thing.

You have been warned. Run! It is your only chance.

    <waves to everyone>
    Laters,
    Honcho
  7. My computer is down, so I am taking the opportunity to move some computers around, fix up my network, and restart my computers to run Win 7. So I will not be getting on the fire/rads (or any CoX) for 2 or 3 weeks. This means I will miss the next couple of mondays running of the fire/rads. Good luck on the burning for those that can make it, and good marketeering to all.
  8. In my base, I went alphabetical, since I found that when i tried to sort the zones by level, I always ended up with the odd zone that did not match up to anything else. I really wish they would raise the limit of 2 zones per telepad to something better like 4-6 each.
  9. The fire/rads (5 of us) with the help of one scrapper, ran a Synapse TF tonight. It took us 2:04 minutes, with 6 deaths (most of them mine). I got almost 3 levels out of the run.
  10. The fire/rads run a Synapse, got

Regenerative Tissue: End/Heal/Rech (Recipe) on 10-14 roll
Theft of Essence: Acc/End/Rech (Recipe) on 15-19 roll.
Positron's Blast: Chance for energy damage (Recipe) on 20-24 roll.
  11. The fire/rads ran, and ran well.

We ran 7 fire/rads thru Positron. We did it in 2:14 minutes, with 11 deaths.

We then went to Atlas and fought off a Ritiki invasion, with the lag, it took us about 2:14 to do, and we had 11 deaths.
  12. Rolled 3 times with the merits from the fire/rad Positron run. Got

Neuronic Shutdown: Chance for Psionic damage (Recipe).
Gift of the Ancients: Defense (Recipe).
    Impervium Armor: Resistance (Recipe).

all at level 21. Will be posting them later.
  13. First for Tidbit. Your build would work, but its not the way I would do it. Feel free to ignore any advice you don't like.

    Riches: Level 33 Mutation Controller
    Primary Power Set: Fire Control
    Secondary Power Set: Radiation Emission
    Power Pool: Fitness
    Power Pool: Speed
    Power Pool: Leaping
    Power Pool: Concealment

    Hero Profile:
    Level 1: Char -- Dmg-I(A), Lock-Acc/Hold(3), Lock-Acc/EndRdx/Rchg/Hold(7), Lock-EndRdx/Rchg/Hold(25)
would put anouther slot in here

    Level 1: Radiant Aura -- Dct'dW-Heal/EndRdx(A), Dct'dW-EndRdx/Rchg(3), Dct'dW-Heal/Rchg(9), Dct'dW-Heal/EndRdx/Rchg(23), Dct'dW-Heal(29), Dct'dW-Rchg(29)
Over slotted, would only go with 4 slots here

    Level 2: Fire Cages -- Posi-Acc/Dmg(A), Posi-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(5), Posi-Dmg/EndRdx(9)
    add a slot here

    Level 4: Accelerate Metabolism -- Efficacy-EndMod/Rchg(A), Efficacy-EndMod(5), Efficacy-EndMod/Acc/Rchg(11), RechRdx-I(11), P'Shift-EndMod/Rchg(15)
overslotted, 3 slots is fine here

    Level 6: Radiation Infection -- DampS-ToHitDeb(A), DampS-ToHitDeb/EndRdx(7), DarkWD-ToHitDeb/EndRdx(13)
took too early, start working on travel power

    Level 8: Swift -- Run-I(A)

    Level 10: Enervating Field -- EndRdx-I(A)
took too early, would add a second end red in here, when you are using this you are fighting GM or AV and will need to run it for a while

    Level 12: Flashfire -- Posi-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(A), Posi-Dmg/Rchg(13), Rope-EndRdx/Stun(15), Rope-Acc/Rchg(25), Rope-Acc/Stun/Rchg(27)

    Level 14: Health -- Numna-Regen/Rcvry+(A), Numna-Heal(17)
only reason to take health on squishy is for +rec IOs. replace heal with Miracle +rec or drop to just one slot

    Level 16: Hasten -- RechRdx-I(A), RechRdx-I(17)
if you are not taking SS, do not need this, if you do flurry is better (solo damage to help finish off bosses, and can slot sets in it)

    Level 18: Cinders -- Lock-Acc/Hold(A), Lock-Rchg/Hold(19), Lock-Acc/EndRdx/Rchg/Hold(19), G'Wdw-Acc/Hold/Rchg(21), G'Wdw-Acc/Rchg(27)
I never take group hold in fire, I would dump this

    Level 20: Stamina -- EndMod-I(A), EndMod-I(21)

    Level 22: Lingering Radiation -- TmpRdns-EndRdx/Rchg/Slow(A), P'ngTtl-EndRdx/Rchg/Slow(23), Acc-I(31)

    Level 24: Combat Jumping -- Krma-ResKB(A)
would move this to an earlier slot so you dont spend your teens bouncing on your ***

    Level 26: Bonfire -- RechRdx-I(A)
Bonfire is a nice but very situational power, would take smoke instead

    Level 28: Stealth -- LkGmblr-Rchg+(A)
Dump stealth, take SS as your travel power, add a stealth IO and you have invisibility

    Level 30: Hot Feet -- Sciroc-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(A), M'Strk-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(31), Sciroc-Dmg/EndRdx(31)
Need more slots in hot feet, and you need to take it at lv 8

    Level 32: Fire Imps -- SvgnRt-Acc/Dmg(A), SvgnRt-Acc(33), BldM'dt-Acc/Dmg(33), BldM'dt-Dmg(33)

For Organica. Same disclaimer as for Tidbit.

should take AM at this level instead

    Level 6: Hasten -- RechRdx-I(A), RechRdx-I(13)
would take flurry instead, damage and place to slot sets

    Level 8: Hot Feet -- Oblit-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg(A), Oblit-Acc/Rchg(13), Oblit-Dmg/Rchg(15), Oblit-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(15), Oblit-Dmg(17)

add a slot to this (grab from heal) and put stealth proc in it for invis

    Level 16: Health -- Numna-Regen/Rcvry+(A), RgnTis-Regen+(25), Mrcl-Rcvry+(25)
on squishies, health does not make enough of a difference, even with IOs, to matter, dump the +reg IO

    Level 18: Accelerate Metabolism -- EnManip-EndMod(A), EnManip-EndMod/Rchg(27)
at least 3 slot this with recharges

    Level 20: Stamina -- P'Shift-End%(A), P'Shift-EndMod(27), EndMod-I(29)
    Level 22: Enervating Field -- EndRdx-I(A)
will want a second end red in here

    Level 24: Stealth -- Krma-ResKB(A)
can be replaced with stealth proc in SS

    Level 26: Bonfire -- Posi-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx(A), Posi-Acc/Dmg(34)
    situational, would take smoke instead

    Level 28: Lingering Radiation -- TmpRdns-Rng/Slow(A), TmpRdns-EndRdx/Rchg/Slow(29)
    Level 30: Cinders -- BasGaze-EndRdx/Rchg/Hold(A), BasGaze-Rchg/Hold(31), BasGaze-Acc/Rchg(31), BasGaze-Acc/Hold(31)
never bother to take group holds on most controllers, they were over nerfed in my opinion

    Level 32: Fire Imps -- ExRmnt-EndRdx/Dmg/Rchg(A), ExRmnt-Acc/Dmg/Rchg(33), ExRmnt-Acc/Dmg(33), ExRmnt-Dmg/EndRdx(33)
all your imps need are acc and damage
  14. First I want to appoligize for missing last Mondays fire/rad run. I was visiting relitives, had car trouble, and did not make it back home till Tuesday evening. I hope that some fire/rads did make it on and had fun burning stuff down.

Second, I've seen several people asking for build advice on thier fire/rad, so I came up with an alt build chart, for use when running with the fire/rad group. My soloing build I'll post in the Midlevel Crisis build thread.

    * denotes important power, take as soon as possible.

    * 1 Char - Slot for acc
1 Radiant Aura - Slot for heal/rech/end as you can
    * 2 Fire Cages - Slot for acc/end
    * 4 Accelerate Metabolism - 3 slot for recharge as soon as you can
6 Open up travel power. I suggest SuperSpeed, since with a -stealth IO you have invis
    * 8 Hotfeet - Slot for end red/acc/dam
    10 Hurdle or Swift
    *12 Flashfires - slot for acc/rech/stun
    14 Take travel power
16 Health - this is so you can stick +rec IOs into, fire/rad can always use more end
    18 Maneuvers - Slot for end red/+def
    20 Stamina
22 Radiation Infection - Slot for end red, fun place for procs later
24 Enervating Field - 2 slot for end red, done

26 Smoke (all usefull, pick one)
    26 Tactics
    26 Lingering Radiation
    26 Mutation

    *28 Choking Cloud - slot end red/hold

30 Vengeance (if you took Tactics at 26) (all usefull, pick one)
    30 Smoke
    30 Lingering Radiation
    30 Mutation

    32 Fire/Imps - slot for acc/dam

I will personally go with Smoke at 26 and Lingering Rad at 30, since Vengeance and Mutation will not help me that much, since I'm generally the first one to die.

Hope this helps answer some questions, and I hope to see a good turnout Monday at 7pm (cent).
  15. We have a little over 1 million prestige built up. Think we have enough to build a power room, control room, and start on the telepads.
The Pillar is only 50k prestige, 15 control. If we have the extra control, then storing some prestige in the pillar is not going to hurt anything. It is a standard item, so you can delete it if you are 50k short on something else.
  16. To whomever has base editing rights, can someone add a Piller of Ice and Fire to the base (assuming that we have enough power/control to run it).

I want to try out using the Pillar with groups with lower level toons on it.
  17. The fire/rads ran last night, and at one point we managed to get 7 on at once. After a few left the remainder helped take down a WL. I'm fighting off a cold, so I called it around 8:30 and went to bed.

For those who have ran with me, what do you think would make the team more interesting? I'm getting the feeling that my farming map is a little boring to run over and over again. We could run some TFs, or if we have a teammate over lv 25, I think we can start running Ourbourous now. Or we could try some of the dev choice AE maps. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
  18. I'll be on and starting up the fire/rads at 7pm(cent) tonight. Hope to see a lot of you there.

    @Hyperstrike1, Flamin' Trolla.

Just get a time and day up.
We are running this on Monday nights, starting at 7pm(cent). I have the first Safegard mission saved up to get everyone the jetpack, and then its back into the most familytastic AE mission I have ever made. We had 3 other show up last week, so if they all make it back, plus a couple of more, we can get down to some serious leveling.

Start something up. Pick a good time for you, and post that you will be on, and see who can/will join you. I'm going to be making a Thugs/Traps MM, who I will be happy to take out on redside runs.

One of the nicer things about fire/rad, and any rads in general, is if you are lv 4+, your AM lets you contribute. So don't worry about trying to catch up, if you can join us when we are running, we will be more than happy to get you some xp.

Monday night is a good night for me, but if there is a better night for others, feel free to run your own fire/rad teams. Heck if I'm on, and not on anouther static team, I'll be more than happy to join you. You just need 4 AMs for it to start to flow together.

On a side note, have made about 2.5 million so for off the sales of the IOs from Monday night.
  22. Started up the fire/rads at 7, was joined by Nuclei Burn who had to leave shortly afterward do to RL events. At around 8:30 Greased Wheels, and Tainted Candy (a very very nice costume btw) joined me.
We ran for about 2.5 hours and I got from lv 4 to lv 12. I saved the first Safeguard mission, which I hope to run with a fuller team next week.
I got anough tickets for about 40 rolls, so I'm working thru them. So far I got a couple of IO that last sold for over a million, and one that last sold for 15 million. Now lets see if they sell. Got about 4 IOs that I can use myself, so all in all it was a nice nights work. Will most likely drop off any IOs that dont sell in the base bins, so anyone who is bringing up a lowbie, you may want to check the base around lv 7-10 to see if you can use any of them.

Literally. There were 25+ for sale and 0 bids on every recipe I had. Blueside, level 15. I could save up for gold rolls, but I need a better AE mission first.

There is something to be said for using purpled out level 50's in low level Ouro content. The A's would be set to the level fo the enemies we defeat, right? And we could use merits to buy level-specific recipes instead of random rolls. It might be more efficient than trying to earn merits on level locked characters.

Or maybe I was just having a very bad day on my frosty little blaster.
On the lower level bronze rolls, what I have found that makes inf is that you roll on the 10-14 choice, and can pretty much vender anything that is not one of the low level uniques. Those sell for 10+ million each.
  24. I'll be on to start up the fire/rad team around 7pm (cent).

My plan is to run EA missions to get everyone to over lv 5. We can then hit KR for the 3 PB mission, and run the Safeguard to get the jet pack.

Then back to EA for tickets and the quickest XP.

If we get everyone to over 10, and we have time and interest, we might be able to start/do Positron also.

Does this sound ok to everyone? Any particular things that anyone else wants to do?

I'm personally happy to run AE to get everyone to lv 33-35, and then go back and catch up on any thing we missed, as far as TF and such. But if the group would rather, we can level up while running them.

    See you at 7.

Well there is running Positrons, but I know how much of a fan of that TF you are.

I'm thinking that getting on higher level Ourabours teams is the way to go for low level merits.
