Yes, the voice is very like that of Droopy. Droopy has the right combination of depression and persistence and like a Shivan, unstoppable when angry.

I am taking the advice of gnosis and making the next one about the Fortunatas. In fact, here it is:
Stan and Lou on Mercy Island -
But there's also Spectral Pirates in Port Oakes, right? Pirates would be fun to do voices for. Not every episode has to concretely advance the plot.
-
Well, what they need to find is some group that could qualify as "mutant." I'm not sure which enemies on that side qualify.
Port Oakes has a number of ways I can have a funny and unique voice: for one, Mr. Bocor; for another, the Radio. It also has Mooks, but they're not significantly different from Family that I'd want to focus on them specifically. It has Snakes, but why would I use Snakes when I could do the Radio or Mr. Bocor? It also has Coralax, but are they Natural or Mutation? And should I save Coralax for Sharkhead Isle?
Mercy Island has... well, Snakes. It also has Arachnos, but I think I ought to save Arachnos and Longbow for later in the series.
Cap au Diable has Demons, Goldbrickers and Luddites. Lots of potential there. -
There has been some talk of having the MP3s up on w00t Radio's website. I'm not sure how that's going yet I know I still have to send some of the later episodes to DJ Jester, but he's got a few to start with.

I'm glad you liked Skippy the Shivan. Sometimes I wonder if it's just me that thinks it's funny that a fearsome monster could sound so depressingly emo.
I think I'm going to try to get them to cover about two City of Villains zones and then come back to Paragon via Pocket D (I think Port Oakes and Mercy Island, even though they've sort of out-leveled Mercy).

Here is #15. As always, remember the caveat: I do these to make myself laugh. If you find them funny too, that's a welcome bonus.
Stan and Lou in Bloody Bay -
That's thanks to Vixy Chic -- she volunteered to do that, and then didn't list herself on the credits page. Thanks, Vixy!

Hm... Hellions only go up to level 14, what're you going to do now they've reached level 15 to enter Bloody Bay?
[/ QUOTE ]
I expect what I'll do is have them join a new villain group when they hit level 21.
Which one? I don't know yet. I'm still mulling between Family, Tsoo, Sky Raiders, and Freakshow. -

I've just re-cut #12 and removed about ... oh, thirty seconds of it. Nigel the Troll still does blather on a bit, but it's cut down considerably. A lot of unessential stuff was hacked out, but I think I preserved the important bits. Let me repost it here:
Stan and Lou in the Troll Tunnels (repost of special limited edition director's cut) -
[ QUOTE ]
I think you could have about half of the Troll's speech relegated to background noise...
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm stuck at work, but I'm already imagining ways I can just cut about 30 seconds of his speech completely. Most of it isn't funny, but what's worse, most isn't even necessary. -
Here is the next one: [link removed because I re-cut this one and posted it downthread]
This one isn't as overtly funny, in my opinion. It's a bit dry, and a bit too long, but it gets all the rest of the stupid exposition and story setup out of the way. Those of you from across the Atlantic will recognize a very bad imitation accent. -
I haven't forgotten. But as I said, I do rehearse for a play some weeknights. Our play opens in about two weeks, which means I'll be rehearsing more frequently as opening night approaches. We don't rehearse on weekends (yet), so expect more Stan and Lou this weekend.
I have the next several bits planned out, though not yet written.
Roughly speaking, they will visit the Trolls, then cross over to the villain-side zones via Bloody Bay. Along the way they just might have to pick up a Shivan Shard... -

Another good set there, Hertz. Keep up the good work despite the awkward criticism...
[/ QUOTE ]
Thanks. He had some good criticism, really. But I can only score it 1/10 because I wanted it in the format of an operatic soprano aria from "La Boheme." -

My comment was not meant to be insulting!
[/ QUOTE ]
And my comment was not meant to be brusque, but it was. Thank you for pointing out that there is no video, and that you would prefer video, but I'm not changing it. It's too much work for zero return. If there are people such as yourself who can't use their imaginations and require video feedback, they'll just have to be disappointed. -
Here's #11: Stan and Lou in Kings Row (Again)
Edited to change YouTube link, re-uploaded different mix. -

Watched the first linked 2.
If it had been actual video, it would have been far more funny. Without it, 5/10.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry you didn't appreciate the audio-only format. I really don't intend to put in the work in editing together any video for this it really doesn't lend itself to a visual format. It'd be a lot of work for very little actual gain in story and humor.
edited to be less brusque -

And then there is the Vocorder-pitch aspect and resulting artifacts.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep. If you know of a cleaner way to convert 16 KHz to 44.1 KHz without the tinny sound, I'd be all over that. -
How about Girl Scout Cookies? I understand Hamidon really digs them Thin Mints.

[ QUOTE ]
My only complaint about the whole thing so far is this: The victim's lines. They're funny, delivered well, and all that, but it's pretty clear they were recorded in a bathrom or somesuch, rather than the clear sound of the rest of the cast.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, it'd be nice if I had a way to get her lines recorded on the same equipment as mine was, but she lives 2,000 miles from here and has a different microphone, a different room, and sent a compressed sound file in a different format (16K Hz when I record in 44.1K Hz), but hey, them's the breaks. -
-
So who wants to be the victim of the Circle of Thorns? I need someone preferably a woman, but not necessarily to read four lines. Requirements are 1) having a microphone and a recording program, 2) being able to sound annoyed. PM to me here on the forums.
Edit: I may already have somebody who can do these lines. -
I do have that kind of control. However, I did not save a "dry" but assembled mix, so in order to undo the levels I have to go back and re-edit Karl's lines in and re-apply the reverb effect.
