Quote:Bit of both. We're going to try Tuesdays starting a 8pm EST as our "Official Night", BUT I and a couple others are on during most of the week.My not-so-inner nerd is sobbing right now. T_T
I do have a couple of questions: do you have specified event days, or do you guys just pop online and RP whenever?
If your character can follow the same laws humans do, then you are more than welcome. Remember, the general idea is that a bunch of people with powers happen to live in the part of the city. Diversity is just one of to keep the neighborhood interesting. -
I'll try and get in touch with you all tomorrow/today!
Quote:The lag in the base isn't too bad. It's mostly when you look in the direction of the Library as Book cases have tons of geometry. I have what I could consisted a mid range computer and do just fine. Everything is spread out so you should be manageable.This... is glorious. I'm definitely going to dig through my list of toons and see who might fit in. It seems like a great place for some nice, relaxed RP. ^_^
EDIT: Though, now that I think about it, I'm worried I'm going to be slapped in the face with lag the moment I walk in. @_@ -
Quote:Why yes, we probly do. I'd have to give you a short interview but I think we can get you in. Tell me what times work for you.I'm already juggling two SG/VGs and real life, but I'm really really tempted to send someone here. It sounds like a friendly community and the work you've done on your little town is top notch!
But would it have room for a hyperactive meter maid with a riot shield? -
-
Thank you for all the kind words. I put a lot of time and love into make our base. i hope I get to share it with a lot of people.
We do have a couple of Coali spots open. I'm @CollegeZoo if you like to send me a message. -
Hero Heights is a different kind of supergroup. We are not a group of hero running off to save the day, nor are we plotting the down fall of Lord Recluse. We're an neighborhood. We're the place Heroes come to after a long day fighting crooks and where the most plotting that is down is how to catch a movie after the kids are in bed.
Sound like you're kind of place? Click the video below for an idea of what Hero Heights is all about. (Opens in a new window)
Still interested? Awesome! If you have a character you like to apply, just reply to this post or send a in game tell to @CollegeZoo or @Amber Fleek
What we offer
Hero Heights has a massive base that really feels like a neighborhood. To give you just a small sampling of what places the base offers: A large park, a pool, a theater, a library, a coffee house and a magic shop.
Hero Heights is also starting up a weekly TF.
Rules
Hero Heights believes in providing a sandbox role playing environment. As such, the supergroup only has a short list of rules.
* Harassment is not allowed.
* Expect people to react your character's behavior in the same way such behavior would be reacted to in real life. (i.e. Susie tells her friends she wants to rob a bank, then Susie's friends are probably going to think she hasgone nuts and call the police.)
* You character may not commit a felony without prior permission of Supergroup leadership.
More about us
We are an unusual neighborhood.
Crime just doesn't happen here. That might be because the shoplifters that tried to rip off Holman's Market three years ago didn't know that Mr. Holman was The Wall before he retired in the 1980s. Or was it because Ms. Quicklight was shopping there at the time? No, it was probably because Mandy, Mr. Fashion's 6-year-old daughter, used her heat vision when one shoplifter pulled a gun, and Pastor Henry encased the other perp in ice until the police could arrive.
The three-block area that is the Hero Heights neighborhood has earned its reputation mainly because approximately 30 percent of its residents have meta abilities. The rest of our neighbors are happy knowing that in one place on earth, they are truly safe.
Maybe metas come to this close-knit community just Just West of Steel Canyon looking for a place they feel like they belong, and we are proud to be that place. Heroes here do not face the discomforting celebrity status and near-worship that many people with hero licenses suffer. Other are comforted that there are other people who understand just down the block.

Just a reminder, Revolution starts in two hours!
-
Greetings!
The Paragon Broadcasting Service is pleased to announce our newest weekly show: Revolution. Starting this Wednesday, Feb 29th at 9 pm EST and every week after that, Revolution will be the place any and every clubber will want to be. Located in the City of Paragon in the Rainbow Resistance Supergroup's club, this is a place where people of any background and taste can come in and enjoy themselves.
A Revolution is coming. Dance to it! -
It was just a couple of people and I did post about it on short notice. I got positive feedback, however, so there will be at least an Easter service coming up. Also, if you like, i recorded the sermon so you can all have a look.
Thanks for the feedback! -
Hi Vis.
*waves*
Heroid talking about us. When the RP population on Infinity go to what seemed like just four or five of us left , a lot of us picked up and moved to here. We even rebuilt Hero Heights. I'll send you a tell. Feel free to bug me any time. -
Hello All,

Dec 26th service Canceled due to illness
Hello. Sorry about the late notice on this one. I hope this one will interest people.
How to get the church:
To attend either service, meet up at the Talos Base portal. It's easy to get to. Just take the monorail and the portal is a the base of the gate.
What you will need:
Just yourself. No Bible or saintly life needed.
Is this RP or Real?
The answer is Yes. The Sermon will be theologically sound but this will be done as if the Pastor was preaching in a city where flying and superpowers where common. It should be a fun combo.
Won't a sermon in City of Heroes just be a big wall of text? That will make me go TL;DR so fast!
The Paragon Broadcasting Service will be transmitting the whole service. Music and everything! Feel free to just listen.
But Church is boring!
This one won't be. I promise! The Character that will be preaching is a man of humor! Come and enjoy!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in a reply. -
The concert was okay. We had light turn out this time but it's the holiday season.
Also, if you missed it, don't worry. We'll have another one in January. -
Just a reminder, The concert is tomorrow.
-
Have no fear. Appalachian Spring will be heard in its entirety.
-
-
More proof that I should not post things will tired. The Concert is Tuesday not Monday.
-
Oops....
The composer is Aaron Copland. I am sorry for the error. The sad thing is I had checked and double checked the name and then had someone else proof read the poster. -
Tuesday, November 29th at 10pm EST
Hello Again! You all might remember the Beethoven Concert in September Well, we're doing it again!
Our next Concert will feature the works of Copland. Sadly, We're a bit late getting concert of the gate so the Concert is the Monday after American Thanksgiving. I hope you will all join us for this wonderful event.
Last, but not least, there will be a Christmas Concert as well. The date has not been nailed down yet but will be in place by the date of this concert. I hope you all enjoy.
--@CollegeZoo
How it works
This Concert will work as close to the real thing as possible but here is a general outline of the evening. Like a real life concert, this kind of thing is often attended with friends, love ones or, perhaps a date. Dress up a little or a lot. It’s all up to you.
1. Head to the Atlas Park Base portal and look for a member of Hero Heights standing by it. This person will invite you to a league so you man enter the base and theater.
2. Go to into ParagonBroadcasting.com and start listening to the stream so you can hear the music and the ambiance. The station will cut into normal programing at least 20 minutes before the concert start time to help us start the proper mood.
3. Before the concert starts, feel free to find your seat, chatter in local with your neighbor, or just hang out in the lobby and watch the pretty people walk by.
4. During the Concert, standard concert behavior please! Emote and talk in a whisper. If it is a loud whisper and others can hear you, use /e. If only your neighbor can hear, then /tell.
5. There will an Intermission. Same idea as before the concert started.
6. More music!
7. The concert ends and people eventually exit the theater. You, do not, however, have to leave the Heights. The neighborhood is full of places get a bite to eat, relax in or just enjoy.

In order to get a general idea of how many people are coming to the concert, we ask you sign up ahead of time by replying to this thread. Please state if you would like to be in on the Stage or Balcony level and the size of your party. Each level has approximately 60 seats.

About the Venues
Hero Heights is a neighborhood themed supergroup whose base represents an area outside the war walls between Steel Canyon and Independence Port. The heights is home to a high concentration of meta families living in it and, hence, is considered by many as the safest place in Paragon City outside of Atlas Park proper.
Here is some flavor text to give you the general idea:
“Welcome to Hero Heights! We are an unusual neighborhood.
Crime just doesn't happen here. That might be because the shoplifters that tried to rip off Holman's Market three years ago didn't know that Mr. Holman was The Wall before he retired in the 1980s. No, it was probably because Mandy, Mr. Fashion's 6-year-old daughter, used her heat vision when one shoplifter pulled a gun, and Pastor Henry encased the other perp in ice until the police could arrive.”
About the McIntosh Theater
The McIntosh theater was built in 1923 as a combination vaudeville stage and movie theater by millionaire Benjamin McIntosh. A confirmed bachelor with no heirs, Mr. McIntosh set about spending his fortune on buildings in immigrant communities. Hero Heights is one such community and was blessed with a 120 seat in the art deco style.
The building amazingly survived the First Rikti Invasion mostly intact and has been restored over the last few years to it’s current fantastic state. -
